But it's horses for courses I suppose. In a town like Morecambe the range of shops is what you would expect - Greggs, Mark One, Tesco, Boots, Iceland, Superdrug, Timpsons to name a few. This isn't somewhere you would go for a quality shopping experience. but it seems to serve the community quite well and is always bustling. There are cheapy card shops, cheap shoe shops, cheap clothes shops. And by cheap I mean market stall quality. But if you're looking for basic shopping and you're in the area then it serves its purpose. However I would always recommend jumping on a bus and shopping in Lancaster, purely because the choice and the quality is that much greater.

This is Morecambe's only shopping Centre, but for fresh fruit and veg I tend to prefer Yorkshire Street better. The Tescos has been revamped though and it is a great little shop for all the neccessities. Shops have came and went over the years, but they now include a Greggs, New look, Mark One, Iceland and a Claire's accessories. The selection of shops could be better but for Morecambe it is a good little place to shop. There is a pay and display car park very close by and the Library is just behind it. The centre is always very clean and there are benches down the middle to have a rest.

Matalan's not half bad you know…read more Good points - wide range of clothing and household goods at very very reasonable prices. if you've got kids then matalan is great because you can cloth the lil critters without hurting your purse. And for a shop like this it's fashion ranges aren't bad either. I find it great for frocks for going out and for work gear - suits are incredibly cheap. Homewares - they have good range of bathroom, bedroom and kitchen goods with some surprisingly trendy gear. You can always get parked as well which is a bonus Bad points - sometimes the queues are a bit long and occasionally it can look like a bomb has gone off, especially during sale time. but other than that it is well worth a visit

Large Clark's factory outlet store with a good range of stock. The shoes are arranged in sizes…read more(including half sizes) so it's easy to see what's available in your size at a glance. They seem to do various offers, when I visited there was a 'buy one pair get a second pair half price' deal on ladies footwear. As well as shoes they stock luggage and also a good selection of Regatta jackets. Easy to park in the enormous car park which serves Tesco, Next and Matalan as well as this Clark's shop. Basically it's a conveniently located shoe outlet store selling reasonably priced Clark's shoes, its size makes it feel a little impersonal compared to a traditional high street shoe shop but hey ho you can't have everything I don't suppose.

From the outside, this shop actually looks like a discount shoe store but when you enter, you'll begin to understand why it's called Famous Footwear - that's for a very good reason. Amongst their shelves, they stock some classic brand names like Hush Puppies and Ravel; these are typically those you can trust for quality and durability. Prices do vary from the cheap to the high-end so expect a balanced selection of shoes to suit all ages and styles. You have two floors of decent footwear, so no excuses!

I always manage to get a bargain when I am visiting in Lancaster. The shop itself is always neat and tidy and they keep a good selection of sizes and styles.
