We applied to a couple others first, but were too far in line that we had to seek out other options. Ultimately, we are glad for those circumstances. Joan's is a great preschool. The entire staff is very kind and caring, and our Son loves going there, we have had a great experience with our oldest there that we also enrolled our youngest (almost 2 years old). Joan, the owner, bends over backwards for to accommodate both kids and parents. This was especially evident when we informed her about our youngest's allergies. Joan took it upon her self to reform several of the day care policies to ensure our youngest was safe. I would recommend Joan's to any of our friends or neighbors in need of a quality day care for their kids.

Our oldest enjoys his preschool curriculum and our youngest has started to get out of his shell. The boys love getting outside when the weather is nice and always seem to enjoy the indoor activities when it's not. The teachers have always let me know anytime either boy has gotten even the smallest scrape and they always give me feedback on how they're doing in class. We think fondly of Joan and her staff and highly recommend Joan's Preschool.

The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and organized -- they greet my child by name every day, which really sets a positive tone before school. The facility is always clean and calm in the mornings, and I love that they offer a structured but relaxed environment -- enough time for the kids to settle in, have a snack or some quiet play, and get ready for the day. I also appreciate their clear communication and how smoothly they handle drop-offs. Knowing my child is safe, happy, and cared for before the school day starts gives me so much peace of mind. I highly recommend First Fruits to any family looking for reliable and nurturing before-school care!

They always try to get the kids outside and play around unless it's raining, snowing, a blizzard, or it is too windy. The teachers always come up with a schedule for the day for things the kids can do. So if you need help getting your kid on a schedule or get a jump start on learning before they hit kindergarten this is the place for you. They are also a Christian daycare, so they pray before they eat. They make sure everything is washed, put away, and disinfected after kids are doing playing, taking a nap, or eating. They love to talk to the parents, interact with you, ask about your day, and just genuinely care about you. They can take baby babies all the way up to school age and even at school age you can let ur child get dropped off at the daycare and they can have fun outside or inside doing different activities. They open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. They are also open during the summer, so if ur working during the summer. I have really enjoyed this place, my child is only 8 months old but I have really taken a liking to this place and will stick to this place until he is ready for kindergarte.

There seem to be a lot of good things about this program but there was also enough to cause me…read moreconcern that I did not decide to take my child there. 1. I wasn't given full information about prices until I had signed a contract and 2. I was privately concerned about the male "business partner" who helps out at the school. This was just my intuition (which sadly has been right in the past.) I could be wrong. I was told he could step in "if something happened to [Kate]". By this statement I thought she meant if she had a heart attack or was hospitalized or something like that. I came to learn from other parents that Kate would sometimes leave and he would be the only one at the facility (with full unsupervised access to children). This was not my understanding of his role as described during the school tour. Also, I was never introduced to one teacher who was regularly going to be my child's caretaker (and was not a parent getting a discount for helping out.) Finally, when a parent did complain about concerns regarding this man and his contact with their daughter, the response from Kate was immediate denial and defensiveness (to include sending a hostile letter to the military commander of one of the parents, complaining about the parents). Meanwhile, she is required to report allegations (concerns) about improper child touching (child abuse/grooming.) Even if nothing was amiss, the structure (or lack thereof) and response of the individual responsible for keeping children safe, was subpar. As a Better Homes and Garden's article says: Going With Your Gut, it's better to stay away and risk embarrassment than to turn out wrong ("If you 'have a bad feeling' don't ignore it...keep your child away.") I recommend you ask questions, go with your gut, and perhaps require as a condition of your payment that as a parent you can make unannounced visits at any time.
