She was bad, and I know others who thought the same about her so I wanted to try Dr Goettsch since I read good reviews about her. I made an appointment with her and the next day the secretary called to tell me Dr Goettsch cancelled my appointment and that they couldn't help me, so I should find somewhere else to go. It seemed out of nowhere, I was a good patient, I would never complain (even when Dr Basciani scraped my lymph node over and over with a metal bar used for the Graston Technique). I had never heard of a Doctor doing this to a patient, I was in a lot of pain and I told them that, and they still told me to go somewhere else...I wasn't reffered to another Doctor, she just swept me under the carpet. I have sent my yoga students (and their babies!) to her to assist with prenatal and postnatal challenges and also have recommended her to many friends and family so she could help them reduce and remedy chronic pain. I have always been nervous about and around medicine and doctors. From the first appointment, I felt like Dr. Anna truly listened to my concerns and made sure to address and discuss each one thoroughly, plan a course of treatment, and then provide follow up instructions. I have left every appointment with a better knowledge of my body and how to live and move in such a way that I feel better. After a recent accident, I was experiencing lower back pain in a way that made sleeping and standing for long times a real challenge - I made an appointment and the improvement was instant and marked. Also, I am a musician and have dealt with TMJ for years: Dr. Anna has worked with my and with my body in such a way that I can now make music pain and tension free when in the past recommendations were all based around reactionary solutions (pain medicine) rather than proactive solutions. The space is absolutely beautiful and by the end of our visit I didn't want to leave this healing oasis. Vicky gave us the grand tour and we found out they have a yoga studio, 2 massage/reiki/healing private rooms, and a little meditation room. During my session Vicky made me feel very comfortable and let me openly express what I was experiencing. I can best describe it as making the energy flow more freely within your body and leaves you feeling extremely relaxed (and possibly enlightened!). Physically, her hands were placed on various parts of my body, no heavy pressure, it's very gentle. The foot bath at the end was an added bonus, but I likely would not purchase it if it was not included. They served us tea (in Styrofoam, would have preferred a nice ceramic mug) while our feet soaked and then came back in to wipe off our feet at the end. I look forward to returning to Pippi's when I am back in town and am overjoyed this resource now exists in Fayetteville. If you are into alternative/holistic health Pippi's is a must! Lissa and Thrive In Healing/The Syracuse Yoga Collective are among my favorites. I know that whenever I attend, I'm in for an easy, relaxing, rejuvenating flow. The energy is always good and the mood is always welcoming. I recently enjoyed a candlelight rooftop yoga session on a downtown rooftop on a particularly warm night in October (what a treat!) and it was so restoring and full of community and self-love. Plus, fun - there was a DJ! Lissa tends to end her lessons with a sound bath, which adds an extra element. Looking forward to even more experiences!
