Our Master bathroom and en suite closet flooded after they serviced our home. First, they sent two plumbers, one who barely spoke English and the other did not speak at all. I felt like I could not communicate well with them what my plumbing concerns were at all. They charged us around $300 to unclog the master shower. After they left my son took a shower in our second bathroom and that bath water backed up and started pouring up OUT of our master shower drain (the one they just "unclogged"), flooding our bathroom and closet. Apparently they did not fully clean the plumbing line and just pushed the clog further down preventing the rest of our plumbing from draining and hence the flood. To his credit, when we called the owner sent a different plumber right away who also barely spoke English, was also very difficult to communicate with, and who blamed us for "maybe flushing baby wipes down the toilet" as the cause of the backup. We don't have babies nor use wipes. The customer-blaming second plumber was able to clean out the remainder of the clog from the plumbing line and the water receded from our master bath. After the flood, we asked Bright Side to pay for carpet cleaning remediation to prevent mold in our ensuite closet. Instead the owner offered to send a guy "he uses" to do it. Low and behold, the "guy" was the SAME two plumbers who originally flooded my bathroom and closet equipped with a carpet cleaning machine! I was so skeptical and scared that I asked twice if they had used the carpet cleaning machine before. I don't know if they thoroughly cleaned my carpet. They also used the most toxic carpet cleaning solution that left my lungs burning. This is the height of unprofesssionalism and I would never trust them with my home again. In response to your misleading reply - it was not a separate line, if it were then the water would not have gone up through the drain your team just "unclogged". It happened two days later because that was the FIRST time a shower was taken in the other bathroom since your team had serviced our lines. The clog your team moved further down the line, or the damage they did during the service call, caused the flooding without a doubt. We have NEVER had plumbing issues like this before your people snaked our lines from two different entry points (outside with the main line, and inside through the drain). Finally, you absolutely should NOT have charged us for fixing a problem your team caused. The carpet cleaning request was due to the water damage in the adjacent closet to the bathroom your team flooded. We stayed up late into the evening attempting to clean the carpet ourselves and when we saw that a musty smell was emerging from the carpet several days later we realized that our cleaning efforts were not enough and asked you to cover carpet cleaning for that flooded area. This was not a free or complimentary "service" you provided for us. I wonder, if you thought you were not responsible for the initial flooding, why you did not charge us for all these subsequent "services"? You did not charge us because you knew your team was responsible. Perhaps you're used to 5 star reviews, but you and and your team failed this time, and perhaps you can learn from the experience and review instead of manipulating the facts. Thank you for promising to refund us for the initial service call that caused the flood. That does not rectify the stress and hours we've spent on this issue but I appreciate that you are attempting to make it right. read more

My mother-in-laws sprinklers were leaking and the backyard was flooded. Jorge and Freddy responded immediately and we decided to cap off the sprinkler system. Unfortunately Jorge told us that it might not fix the problem and the next morning we found it that it hadn't. Freddy came out the following morning and had to replace the main line from the street to the house. It took him and his son all day in the HOT sun but they worked exceptionally hard and completed the job by the next morning. He checked it out and then crawled under the house to find where the line started and ended. Once he determined that, he capped the line and removed the length of cable that was no longer needed. This review is long overdue. Today is the second time I have called Bright Side for plumbing issues. The first was to replace the garbage disposal in 2020. Alex came and did a great job! I think I spoke to Jorge on the phone and he was so kind and gave me a reasonable price for the work and replacement of the unit. Called Jorge yesterday and he had Alex come out again today. My outside water hose had fused to the faucet attachment and no matter what I tried, I could not undo it. We also had a leak on the valve stem. Before finding Bright Side years ago, we had called some awful plumbers who not only charged us tremendously for a job we did not need, but also made matters worse - such as this ongoing intermittent leak. Alex fixed that too! He even attached our new hose for us and and showed me how to unscrew a faucet water stopper. I really appreciate good service as I work with the public myself and I try to provide reliable and excellent customer service. Bright Side definitely does that and it is so appreciated! It is hard to find a company with people who are not only tremendously skilled at what they do, but also treat their customers with kindness and offer reasonable prices. I thought I had a leak behind my bathroom wall and Carlos arrived at my place 30 minutes later. He spent an hour diligently checking all the possible spots where I could have an issue. He could've made anything up, but instead he was honest and said that he felt the water was coming off my tub and hitting the wall. Turns out I needed to replace the tankless water heater. Jorge went through and explained every step of what needed to be done to complete the job. Came for a estimate 2 weeks ago. Guys came and saw the property and said they need 3 days to provide the estimate. I call and call with a person named george saying who came over to your house? I gave him my address again to remind them and they said they will get back to me. A week later I call him and george again asks for my address then he says he needs to come by and inspect the property before he can give an estimate. What is going in here?
