I called Wood & Wood Plumbing after they did some minor work for a friend on his rental property. I…read moreshould have read the reviews first. This company had quite a few bad reviews. If I had seen all the bad reviews first, I would never have called them! BIG MISTAKE!!!
I called to have Wood & Wood come out & give me an estimate to finish connecting my drainage lines. Most of them were already connected. There was ONLY a little work that needed to be done. By the time, I spoke with these folks, I had already I spoken with 4 or 5 plumbing companies.
Steven came out on the morning that I had him scheduled for. However, he arrived quite a bit earlier than I was expecting him. I was still at the hotel. My plumbing was NOT usable & that was one of the reasons why I was in a hotel.
Steven was definitely frustrated in the message that he left me. But I had set the plumbing appointment for a specific time, so that I could be at the house. I had told all this to the lady when I scheduled the appointment!!! Evidently, the people with the 1st appointment had counseled. When I got his message, I called the plumbing company.
What I didn't know at the time, was that Steven wouldn't be coming back out. Instead he sent Caleb & his helper. They seemed super nice. They crawled under my house. Their estimate was more than twice what I wanted to pay, but I was desperate by this point. The plumber I had originally hired was unavailable. Caleb said they would get it done quickly. I was getting pressure to have all this done, so I went ahead & hired them!
My MISTAKE! Evidently, Caleb told his boss that I had no drain lines under my house. I have pictures & a person that will testify otherwise, if I decide to take these guys to court, like a friend of mine thinks I should!
They charged me almost $3000.00 to hook up the last of the drain lines, & even used my supplies. Caleb & his helper never completed all the work that he had agreed to do & to make matters worse, he blocked my access to the rest of my plumbing. He said that he was done, so I paid him without going under the house to inspect the plumbing. AGAIN, MY MISTAKE!!!
It wasn't till quite a bit later that I realized he had blocked my access to the rest of my plumbing lines. When I found out that my plumbing access was blocked, I called to speak to Steven about having this MISTAKE fixed, Steven was disagreeable & refused to have anyone come fix the MISTAKE they made, for FREE!!! He said, that they was NOTHING under my house to begin with. That's a lie & I can prove it.
Evidently, these folks don't know much about how to correctly do plumbing. I had gotten quite a bit of advice about these drain lines before I ever hired a plumber to come do the job. Everyone said that the drain lines should all go toward the main sewer line. Evidently, that's something that Caleb with Wood & Wood Plumbing doesn't understand.
Instead, of running the drain line from the tub & shower from North to South, or even running it further down so that it would go into the main drain line, he ran it from East to West effectively blocking my access & that of any future plumber.
While writing this, I realized why Caleb did what he did. You see, I showed him where the main access was to the plumbing lines, but he refused to use the main access. Instead he insisted on using the place that we had had to dig out in order to replace the 3" & 4" drain lines to the sewer.
Evidently, instead of starting from the water source & connecting the lines together, so that he could eventually get to the end of where all the lines drain into the main sewer, he ran the lines from the sewer end instead. The tub/shower drain should have been one of the 1st lines that he connected, but because he refused to connect everything in the correct order, he already had the larger drain line completely connected & would have had to undo part of his work to make sure that the tub/shower drain line was connected where it should have been.
That also explains why I have no sink connected in my bathroom even now. He did EVERYTHING BACKWARDS.
Well, at least now I understand why he did what he did. But that still doesn't get my plumbing fixed correctly!
THE ONLY REASON, I finally decided to hire a plumber was because it was so extremely hot underneath my house & the person helping me was slow & kept causing problems. I should have long since been done with replacing the drain lines. Evidently, I should have bit the bullet & finished them myself!
***Had to lay on back upside down to get pics under the 2 inch Drain Line!!!
