Our plane landed at Tullamarine a touch late at 7:20am and we joined the 10am tour from Fed Square. Our excellent guide, Geoff, was waiting for us clearly marked in the designated meeting place right on time (probably early as we'd just barely made it on time). We were delighted to learn that it was just us, but requested no customization as the overview was for what we were looking. We thought it was a great way to see the city and to learn a bit about the history of area in which we're staying. Geoff did a great job explaining to us the plan so we knew what to expect each time we got going again and keeping us safe (he kept saying that Melbourne not quite there yet in bike friendliness, but we found none of it as terrifying as riding in Los Angeles!). We thought it was well-planned and just enough information to be informative but not overwhelming. He sent us on our way with a Melbourne map with all of our stops marked on it for reference to make it easier to return to points of interest. The weather cooperated (didn't rain on us as was forecasted), and it was a lovely start to our honeymoon. I'd highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Geoff, for sharing your beautiful city with us :)

Our wonderful experience began even before the tour when we called to ask for help with directions. Michelle gladly took down the address of where we were staying and then send us personalized directions so we wouldn't get lost on the way. She even explain how to use the public transit system. Once on the tour, our guide Trine did an amazing job of showing us the city and personalizing the experience for our interests. Beyond biking, we had a delicious lunch and walked on foot through a few places we wanted to see. Trine even took pictures of us along the way and emailed them to us that evening along with a list of restaurant and bar recommendations from the tour. I did see some of the other bike tours in the city while we were going along, and I can honestly say they didn't look like they were having as much fun as we were. While this company is slightly more expensive than others, it's totally worth it. Do yourself a favor and book here.

Checkin at the front went smoothly and *G status gained us admittance. The rep reminded us of the early closing hours before we entered since the lounge was open only when a Singapore Airline flight was scheduled. Inside there lounge wasn't busy at all. The furniture and decor inside was average and mirrored those in other airports. The buffet offerings contained both Western and Asian selections. We gravitated towards the dim sum steamers since we wouldn't get them in the next lounge we'd visit. Overall decent pork siu mai and shrimp/ginger dumplings. What stood out was the barista service offered/ made to order coffees and teh tarik (milk tea). It was delivered in a short time to our table. I looked forward to the teh Tarik but it was the iced latte that was the better of the two drinks. The opening hours were inconvenient for non-Singapore Airlines flyers but at least quiet and less crowded option in MEL.

There are two places for passengers on United flights to stay at Melbourne airport ever since the closure of the United lounge several years ago, and I think the Air New Zealand Lounge downstairs is a better choice: it is bigger and has better service and longer open hours.

The cold items were better tasting especially the fresh fruit smoothie and mint and berry coulis chia pot. This was the first lounge that I can recall that included a kiddie play area with toys. Nice for families. Each set of chairs, comfortable, included a side table with built in outlets and four USB ports for charging. Nice spot for relaxing before our 14 hour flight.

It's manned during the day, the trains actually run underground here so there are stairs and also 2 lifts to get up and down to the platforms so it is bike, pram and disabled friendly. The trains sometimes run on time, when you catch a train most times you get to where you want to go relatively on time. You always get a seat this far from town during off peak times. They have Protective Services Officers at night now and it makes you feel more comfortable with your security and safety. It is within walking distance from my home so I don't have to find a park which seems to be at over capacity. There is 2 cats espresso bar just nearby for that nice cup of coffee for your journey. It is a fairly inexpensive form of travel.

The icing on the cake is this hotel is tailored towards musicians, artists, singers, etc. I will stay here any and every time I'm in Melbourne.

Passed a bloke with shuttle written on his Fluro vest and inquired as to the price of a trip to the city.. $17 per person ,..Fantastic.. I forgot the address of the hotel we were staying at .. No trouble for these boys they contacted the hotel chain and found out where we were staying and got us there faster ans cheaper than any taxi .. Better service than any taxi or uber.. So Stream Shuttle is the only way to go Great service and friendly owner /operator .. cannot speak more highly of them they went way beyond what you would expect from a shuttle service .. Nothing but GREAT SERVICE Thankyou for putting us at ease and welcoming us to your wonderful city..
