With a high competency in English, this transfers into making the Mandarin relevant for day to day use. The material from Key Language is detailed on the structure of the language, good vocabulary, and relevant exercises that push you, and enable you to bring together what is being taught in each module. Most students were only there to get some courses and then transfer to UBC/SFU. It had a college feel to it. It was sort of embarrassing to admit that I was attending here. Five years later the place has really grown. The psych department is amazing. More people are coming in with the intent of earning a degree instead of just 1 or 2 years. Proud to call Kwantlen my alma mater. Richmond Campus is sort of old and outdated, but it has come a long way and is under major renovations now. Every time construction happens, it improves the look and feel of the place by 200%. Surrey campus is more up to date. Even the oldest building is well-maintained. Another huge improvement is that they now have more upper level courses in Richmond. Its still not the most prestigious university,but I did a fours year degree in just over five years and it only cost about $20 000. I was making just enough to cover my tuition which means no student debt for me. You could not get that anywhere else!

The whole school was constantly hiring new teachers because it was such a bad place to work. You can do this course at real government funded colleges and get the same degree with a much better facility and for less money. This college should be shut down. Don't let the recruiting people talk you into it they are trained to lure in hopeful people.
