Brisbane Boxing has two locations: West End and Mt Gravatt. The West End location is my local. I honestly hate exercising first thing in the morning but it has become more and more apparent that it's the only time I can definitely commit to doing it, so I go to the morning classes as often as I can. Warm and friendly trainers, good equipment, you can use the gloves until you feel committed enough to purchase your own. Pretty accessible timetable and not too pricey. It absolutely slams me every single session. I am pretty introverted in crowds of beautiful, fit people, so I feel really anxious about going on my own. But I still do it and generally don't lose my cool about being shown up by all the really really ridiculously good looking people. The majority of the classes in the timetable are geared towards fitness (cardio box classes) and are for beginners through to advanced as they are predominantly drill based. I like the fact that it is for everybody! I also have a pesky foot injury that impedes my ability to run with weights (yeah fancy that!) but luckily they've been accommodating of that for me as well. I'm writing this review right now because I am looking forward to hitting the 7am session tomorrow morning! Maybe see you there. read more

This amazing place is in 3 locations now! West End, Mt Gravatt and Bulimba! I can tell you one thing... Once you start coming to Brisbane Boxing, its hard to stop! I have joined regular gyms so many times (that I've lost count) and the most I have lasted is 3 months and I stop going completely! I started going by myself to Brisbane Boxing Mt Gravatt last year July 2013 and it has changed my life! I am also addicted much like others who have been going, it has been a year now and I am still a regular attendee (min 4 days a week to 6 days a week). I have made ridiculously great friendships with lots of people. I cant tell you how energetic and fun the atmosphere is at this gym. Owners and BBox staff and regulars are friendly and full of energy.... Its like being part of an extended family, everyone is welcoming. It is very easy to make new friends and at the same time, get fit, enjoy getting fit and learn new boxing skills. Team is very supportive as well! I have old ankle injuries that come back out every now and then during workouts so at times I am unable to perform certain exercises (eg. jumping or anything that causes strain on my ankle) Trainers are really helpful and accomodating to injuries and especially if you are new and you let the training know before class they will support you all the way - you get your monies worth, it is a very unique environment to train in. Brisbane Boxing offer alot of sessions throughout all 3 gym locations (both AM and PM classes) its a variety so it keeps you interested and challenges you. Lots of people think this is a gym only for people who want to train and become boxers, its actually a place where regular people of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels can come and enjoy a good hard/challenging workout, make new friends along the way. I hope you all come and check out the gym sometime it is a very happy place to be at after a hard day at work. Looking forward to seeing you all there :) read more

I have trained here for years. They take a no nonsense approach to training where everyone is welcome.
