Whiteladies Scooters, which also has another branch, Downend Scooters is the best place to pick up (for a pretty hefty price) a new scooter or get your existing one serviced or repaired. This branch specialises in trendy Vespas and accessories and will even offer a courtesy scooter if you're getting yours serviced. For most enquiries, you will find yourself going through the Downend branch, but this shop is more central, and hopefully they will expand their range in time.

They do sell other scooters of varying engine sizes, but it's hard to take your eyes off the stunning Vespa range. I actually think this might even be a Vespa Boutique and the prices reflect this. There's not so much of a 'price range' as expensive and slightly more expensive, but it's not surprising, these are beautiful scooters and all top of the range, brand new models. The orange Vespa in the window keeps whispering 'buy me' every time I walk past. I don't know of any other retailers like this one in Bristol, so even if, like me, you are just an admirer of Italian Design and the evolution of the Piaggio Vespa scooter you want to have a look around this shop.

A fan of a main dealer?? What is wrong with this man?…read more Well, if you've read my other review of an independent tyre dealer, you'll know why I went to a main dealer! Are they more expensive than an independent? Probably. But for peace of mind, I will never go anywhere else. And since what the independent did could have resulted in injury or worse, peace of mind is a lot more important than money! Having said that, the people at Trowbridge Platinum Renault are helpful and polite, and if there's any other bits that need doing while they're servicing the car, they will ask first, rather than tell you about it afterwards. When we lived in London we went to the best independent Fiat garage in the whole world (Franco Motors in Houslow). But since moving to the west, and buying a Renault, I have discovered that not every independent is as honest and thorough as Franco's! You pays your money and you takes your choice - and I choose safety!
