The British Council is one of the two organizations that administers IELTS in the country. IELTS is an English proficiency exam that you need to pass if you want to work, study or migrate to an English speaking country. These are mostly countries that are associated with the UK.
If you decide to take the IELTS from them, they have review materials that you can use to prepare yourself. Just go to their office in Ortigas and study all you want.
The exams are around 3 hours long with parts measuring your reading, writing and listening comprehension. And the proctors who administer the exams are really serious with their jobs. They are like hawks vigilantly making sure that the integrity of the exams won't get questioned.
There is also a speaking test that they conduct separately.
For those who comes from the provinces, from time to time, they also hold exams in Baguio, Dagupan, Cabanatuan, Tagaytay and Batangas.
