While I think my daughter is the most talented special mermaid, her teachers make swimming look as easy and effortless as walking. It is of piece of mind how my daughter is able to survival float on contact with the water and I know everyone is cpr certified. The swim instructors are great at tailoring the class to each student. Small humans with big emotions, each class is always a surprise. We had one class where one baby started crying and it caused a ripple effect and the next 20 minutes was a real tear jerker. Coach Vicki was cool as a cucumber. Then we had another class where each litte chubby cheek was happy and after each kids turn the other kids would clap in encouragement. Staff are professional, kind, and helpful. It's also super kid friendly with on-theme decor, music, and pool toys, and the best part is, it's warm and toasty both in AND out of the water. There are rinse off and blow-dry stations, individual changing rooms, and the staff disinfect after every session. For 30 minute classes, Goldfish not the least expensive swim option, but for sure worth it in my opinion. Great place to get your child acclimated and comfortable in water.

One of my grand-darlings had her latest birthday party here and it was a very fun time for both the…read moreswimmer participants as well as their guardians.  It's a fairly pricey event for the host (and that would be the daughter and her hubs), but it seems to me any kid's birthday event venue is up there these days (such as a gymnastics venue, or an art shop, or a Funtopia, or an Ultimate Ninjas, etc).   This venue costs $550 for 2 hours but you do get the whole pool and facility to yourselves, 3 staffers for the party which includes life guard duty, and birthday snacks and cupcakes.  The maximum number of kid swimmers is 24, otherwise the fee increases by $100.  You can bring in additional snacks and food if you wish. The time allocation was broken up into 80 minutes for swim time and 40 minutes for snacks and cupcakes.  Guardians need to sign a facility waiver.  Kids that want to swim without a life vest need to pass a swim test doing 2 widths of the pool, and almost all of the participants were good swimmers.  Anyway, fyi on a quality and quite fun kid's birthday venue to consider.

We've been…read morehappy (not so happy when we went through the short phase and being nervous to get in the water/submerge our toddler head into the pool) swimmers here for the last 3 years, and great strides have been made since the first dip! My two daughters get their weekly lessons and have been getting solid coaching from Coach Sarah over the past 6 months. One programming aspect that didn't exist when I grew up swimming is the heated water. No shocking cold YMCA effect here. Younger swimmers also make progress by swimming across half the width of the pool, and there are landing blocks for that. More advanced swimmers easily swim the full width of the pool, go in a rectangular pattern around the end of the pool, or go the full traditional length as part of the "swim force" team. Teacher turnover is fairly frequent, which I guess is not totally unexpected. In addition to the coaches per class, there's a lifeguard on watch on each side of the pool. As expected, the price has gone up over the years. Three years ago, it was $25/30 min lesson (4 student cap), and today it's $30 for the same. If you need to skip a week, it's easy to log the absence on the app and get a make up token, which is good for a year. Second students get 7% off (like a family discount) on the monthly subscription rate. Shower heads available at the end of the pool for a quick rinse. One of the larger bathrooms in the back has a shower too, and there's a dozen dressing rooms as well for a quick change. Overall, swimmingly satisfied with our experience here.

He started about 4 weeks ago and he is in the Dolphin program which is individualized and has done so well. Jayla his instructor has been so patient and attentive to he needs and very quickly gained his trust. In a few weeks he's making great progress. I am very confident he will develop the skills to be a strong and safe swimmer.

Had our "little one" (child) here for almost a year. Was told they were doing great each time...a…read morebit unclear what they were doing great at, seeing as the teacher would tell them what to do, they'd do whatever they felt like, and then get a high five. The teachers seem nice, but it does not feel like there's a ton of concentration on teaching going on, mostly people going through the motions. What adds to this is the fact that each lesson ends 5 minutes before the half out, and then you are called in at 5 minutes past. I asked Claude, and it told me 30 - 5 - 5 = 20, which strikes me as inconsistent with paying for a 30 minute lesson. I personally want the teachers to get a break between lessons, and I understand changeover takes time, but that's the institution's problem to manage, not mine. So don't tell me it's a 30 minute lesson.

That was my one and only experience with swim lessons after going to goldfish it makes the British swim school look like a disorganized dump. Literally everything that goldfish does is the complete opposite of British swim school. Zola I think is her name was warm, kind and welcoming. The water is warm instead of freezing. The kids look like they were enjoying themselves immensely in the water. They have big huge changing rooms a play area parking and parent viewing area to look through the glass area around the pool is not slippery. You can walk on the cement , instead of worry that you're gonna slip and fall, my son had a blast It was so enjoyable and comfortable I wanted to cry.

It was such a blessing for this activity to be available during these intolerable winter outdoorsy days. By the last session, our 5 month old baby was able to comfortably submerge (& I mean as in completely underwater!) & able to back float with only assistance of my hands under her neck/head supporting her. There is no way that I would have accomplished this alone, as the team at Britsh Swim school really helped me feel confident in assisting my little one, as well as helping to boost her confidence, & making her feel super comfortable with all the water games & toys & song activities. At no point did I not feel very comfortable & supported in the water. I think my baby really enjoyed the songs & tummy time on the water matt, & I was so amazed that by the last session, she was able to get the gist of holding her breath to go underwater without giving a fuss. I must give a huge shout out to Rachel, Yoko & Shawn for all their knowledge & amazing attitudes & wonderful help in getting my little baby girl comfortable & advancing her swim skills at such a young age. I am very grateful to them and I am sure that they will do extremely well in their endeavors with helping children, as it is apparent that they are sincerely passionate about their work. I would gladly provide a positive reference for either of them, if ever asked.

They were so cold I had to pull all out of the pool within 10 minutes of starting lessons due to the shivering they were experiencing. Enough was enough so I canceled. Now I'm being told it was a known issue but parents and swimmers were not told of it prior to entering the pool. They are still charging me for the coming month despite freezing my kids without proper warning of a known issue. Beware of their contracts and know they hide issues letting your kids be the ones to have to freeze.

I'm very impressed at the level of safety, professionalism, and training at this swim school…read more Safety is the number one priority to me for swimming. The teachers, though seemingly pretty young, have been trained well to follow procedures to make sure each child is safe. I've been told what some of the safety procedures are and have witnessed the teachers being very attentive to each child while in the water. The kids have a little platform in the water at the side of the pool where they wait for their turn. And in the younger classes, there is another platform they can stand on at the other "side" of the pool. For younger classes, the other "side" is only a few feet away. The teachers here are also trained to assist children who are uneasy/crying/shy. Multiple times when my child didn't want to go in the water, another teacher came up to us right away to help him get in and feel comfortable. They are trained with kids too and know how to be initiative to kindly take them out of my hands to get in the water. There seems to always be more staff than just teachers and the life guard, so there's always someone to help in times like this. I love the flexibility here. You get 12 makeup classes for the year, and you can let them know even one minute before class that you can't make it. Then they give you a virtual token to makeup the class at any other time you were free. We've been doing a lot of makeups, and because of this the teachers change, but my kids don't seem to mind because there's a system of things they do in their lesson that they are already familiar with. They also offer events for members on some nights for free swim and other activities. And they also offer family swim days at certain times of the week. Free for members on some of these days or a small fee for other days. My 7 year old learned how to swim in about 5 months here. We had a few weeks we missed and had a few breaks in between too. He's now swimming with his head underwater by himself for the whole width of the pool. Thanks Goldfish!

My child used to go here until I noticed many things occurring that I was not happy with I noticed constant changes in staff and unfortunately Directors. I've always been on edge with the safety curccumstances due to my child's teachers are constantly changed with no notice, no introduction and with the Director leaving who gave me so much comfort I have had enough. They have very poor communication skills and never have answers to anything I ask. This greatly effects my child as they are always confused , never know their teachers names and sometimes mornings are so rough because they refuse to go. I have friends who take their children to other locations and have had bad experiences as well. I do not recommend Alphabet Learning Center.

The teachers are bright, friendly and very caring. They have various activities include guest teachers teaching everything from yoga, music, science and more. My nephew has learned so much! I am amazed at his counting and letter recognition. Fantastic!
