I love KCAA! I had a show there for 2 years ("Julie Talks Money") and producer Ken and I loved working with Fred and the staff. Decent engineers too. The studio was clean and modern and super accessible for show guests to get to. Rates are very fair and remote broadcast is also possible. Now I am not a host, but still listen. I came back to KCAA after tuning out for several years. The shocking thing, upon re-arrival, was that the programming was nearly the same as before. Ad blocks advertising various products, and then the same old stories told by the same old hosts. Gary Garver used to be pretty interesting, but here, he was playing old tapes of his work with Howard Stern from the '90s - exactly the same thing he was doing when I was listening regularly, four or five years prior. Some program with two female hosts that is likely a local show was simply unlistenable, as neither knew what the hell they were talking about. Specifically, they spent about a half-hour wondering how tornados, hurricanes, and storms are named - meaning "how do they come up with the names" when most people know they are alphabetical, switching from male to female until the end of the alphabet is reached. Other programs are just stale, and the station continues to put up hosts that simply cannot host. The music shows are, quite simply, badly produced and hosted. It's as if the majority of the personalities - especially on the weekends - are simply trying to live out their dreams of being radio hosts when, in actuality, they don't really know much about presentation. Pretty bad. Wish they had better hosts and current programs, as a few entries from their archives are somewhat interesting. read more

wow these people were completely rude, the person i talked to was brandon , i just called to see how i could be interviewed, and i didnt know much about the radio station so i called to get more information, Brandon literally told me if i didnt know anybody specifically to talk to or what radio session i was referring to, than he couldnt help me and than he hung up in my face. Now he doesnt know who am, what if iam somebody prestigious ,so he is very bad for business read more
