You can buy your car tax here which is very useful not having to go into the big central post office in Worthing. Parking can be difficult, but there are a few one hour parking bays in surrounding roads. This post office also sells handy supplies of padded envelopes, packaging materials, cards, pens and children's toys and crafts. I've picked up some very reasonably priced gifts for children.

Normally its not too busy unless you go around lunchtime then you might have a 10 or 15 minuit wait but other than that i normally get served within 5 minuits. Only thing i have noticed they hardly have any pens available and if you need one you need to ask, apart from this its ok.

Formerly the Civic Amenity Site, the new Burgess Hill Waste Recycling Site recently reopened after…read morea major refurbishment. The new site can recycle many more materials, and has been very well designed to cope with high volumes of traffic on busy weekends. The unloading area is raised above a series of giant skips. The purpose of each is clearly designated. This keeps pedestrians well away from the large vehicles used for moving the rubbish around the tip. Pros New layout provide a safe and ordered environment even at busy times. Many different materials can be sorted and recycled. Cons Some materials and items have to be recycled in a different area from the main disposal area, necessitating two stops. Children are not allowed out of cars, and the drive around the perimeter of the site only provides a limited view of the giant bulldozers in operation. In summary, the site provides an excellent trip out for adults and their household waste, but although initially exciting for children, they may become frustrated or bored by only fleeting glimpses of heavy machinery. My toddler fell asleep during the third visit of the weekend.
