The cut he received looked nothing like the model he showed. Instead, it aged him dramatically, it was giving "middle‑aged man," ( Steve Harvey, back in the days) not a fresh, clean style for a teenager starting a new school year. This was a failed execution on Meech's end, and based on this outcome, I would not trust him to replicate a model or requested style. My son now has to begin his school year with a haircut that does not match his age or the look he asked for. High reviews can be misleading, and this experience was not reflective of the rating.

I took a chance and picked Bubba's, and I think I hit the jackpot. It's in a residential area, not hard to find. It's a smallish building that sits on the corner. The only negative thing about this place is that there is not much parking right in front. I found a spot in front though, and went inside. The instant I walked in the door I was greeted by the barbers with a friendly welcome. Three of the four had customers, and the fourth invited me to take his chair. It was Saturday, around noon, and I had been preparing myself for a wait, but I got right in. There were several people in the waiting area (which was surprisingly large, and well maintained) and everyone seemed to know each other, as there was cheerful conversation going on. One young lady was there with her young son, whom I later found out was the owner's grandson. That little boy kept us entertained the whole time with his antics. My barber was a pleasant man who went right to work and did a very nice job cutting my hair. I was the only "outsider" in the place, but felt almost like a regular when I walked out. $15.00 for the cut, very well worth every penny. I highly recommend this traditional style barbershop. She was patient when he felt wiggly, and took her time doing his cut to figure out what his hair needed (it grows funny).
