A few doors down from MacKay's is this compact and funky little kitchen store. I say compact because it's wall to wall with everything you've ever thought of needing for your kitchen, a probably a few you haven't. Wine and beer glasses from Riedel, Bohemia and Waterford, knives from Wusthof and Henckel, ceramics and cast iron from Le Creuset and Emile Henry and cookbooks from Julia Child, Best of Bridge and some obvious quirky titles (Recipes for the Modern Wife, Cooking with Booze) as well as tea and coffee machines from Bodum and Krups. Where Kitchen Boutique really shines is it's interesting gadgets and colours. Animal themes are in full force, window herb gardens, oils, vinegars, dips, rubs, even the muffin tins have themes. And if you're bored of stainless steel everything, I'm pretty sure I saw every usual kitchen gadget or utensil in at least 6 colours. Last, they have kitchen packages for every taste and budget. There's a great baking and decorating cake section, wine decanters and glasses, food, aprons, gifts, dishware... And I could go on and on. This is a happy place both for you if you like to cook/bake/entertain, as well as a great place for gifts in all price ranges! We bought some dinosaur cookie cutters for our nephew and can't wait to get them to him! We will definitely stop here the next time we are in Cochrane!

Bow Valley Kitchen was friendly, professional, and interested in my business. My initial contact was Frank, who is an owner of the company and after hearing what type of kitchen I was looking for, directed me to Bernie. He was extremely patient during the design process and designed the perfect kitchen for the space, keeping everything within my budget. Of course friends were curious as to our kitchen progress and when I told them of the design and price, their reaction was that Bow Valley Kitchens were high end and I should look around. One of my 3 preferred choices, 1 didn't even bother to draw up a design even after visiting my home and the other quote was within 1% of Bow Valley. My impression is that Bow Valley Kitchens do indeed do very high end kitchens if that is what the client wants but give equally good service to smaller more modest jobs such as mine. The final kudos and very important to potential customers came from the appliance installers. They are a terrible builder please do not ever buy a home from this builder you will be so sorry you did. I purchased a new home from Vanity Homes in NE Calgary and it is very low cheap quality. Everything looks nice in the show-home but when they build your house they use poor quality products. The builder made many mistakes during the construction of my new house. One day I went to their office in Calgary to complain about all the problems with my new house and I saw a guy sitting on the sofa in the receptionist area hold his head and crying. He was saying Vanity Homes toke advantage of him and his family. He said they toke his money and then built a very low quality house with many mistakes. I have actually talked with many people that have similar stories about problems with this builder. I am going to take full action and I encourage everyone else to do the same until this builder starts to take responsibility and fix their mistakes. Please take my advice do not buy from Vanity Homes in Calgary or Airdrie or anywhere they are trying to build houses. They will take your money, waste your time, and not respond back to any of your messages or complaints.
