    "MOM" omlette

The food was delicious. I had the "Mom" egg dish with home fries and toast. What a big portion!. Oh my friend and I were going to split it but they did it for us. The picture is only 1/2 of the total meal! I can't remember all the ingredients but they all were fresh. see the picture. service was good too and love the coffee. It was pretty quiet as we were in just before closing. Oh my friend and I were going to split it but they did it for us. The picture is only 1/2 of the total meal

07-13-2025 Special day, my intelligent son took me out to lunch, Mommy and son time Ordered: -Classic Eggs Benedict $18.95- the 2 eggs were perfectly poached accompanied with house potatoes. My son enjoyed his dish. -Acai Bowl $15.95- refreshing fruits a perfect blend. Service: Always a pleasure to see Karen again. She's looking more beautiful than ever. We enjoyed our interactions with her.

We came here during brunch and it wasn't busy which was nice to be sat right away on the rooftop. We got to enjoy the nice weather and the skillet was a large portion. I really enjoyed their in house made salsa they put on the skillet as well. The service was pleasant as well and was attentive when we needed things as well.

We went to Broken Yolk for breakfast and it was so good! Tried the Cinna-cakes, seasonal pumpkin pancakes, and a Hash Skillet -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. From the warm greeting at the host stand (Lupita) to our awesome server (Erica) and friendly busser (Percy) the service was phenomenal. I've been to several Broken Yolk locations, and this one is definitely my favorite! Loved the seasonal décor and the bright, welcoming interior -- it felt so cheerful and cozy. Parking was easy too, which made the whole experience even better. Designated parking lot (signage to help you find it easily!) or street parking. Definitely one of those breakfasts that just puts you in a good mood -- can't wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I decided to get lunch at this chain restaurant when we were looking around to eat something. We thought it would be very packed on Saturday noon in Pacific Beach but surprisingly, it wasn't! The location that we went to is located next to Sinclair gas station and diagonal of Citi Bank on Garnet Ave. There is a free open parking lot in the back of the restaurant in the side street. There's also a sign for additional parking if that lot was full. Being located in PB and finding parking could be a huge headache, so it was great to see that they offered free parking to customers. My boyfriend and I started off with a drink. We go their Iced Matcha which was very good, just a tad too sweet for my liking, but I had forgotten to request for it to be less sweet. The quality of the drink was very nice. I got the Machaca with flour tortilla. The portions were huge! I was very appreciative of the huge portion for the amount I was paying. I had to ask if the tortillas came with the entree as my previous visit at another location had an extra charge when the server didn't mention it. That previous server made it seem like the tortillas came with the meal! Luckily, the Machaca came with the tortillas. I thought the machaca was lacking in flavor. It was kind of bland to me, lacking a bit of umami or salt. The condiments they had on the table were only hot sauce, ketchup, and tabasco which didn't seem fitting to me at the time. My boyfriend got their Chicken & Waffle Benedict which was amazing! Sooooo much flavor! The hollandaise sauce with the poached eggs and waffles made such an amazing combination. The chicken was seasoned and fried very well. It was very tender and moist! I was kind of worried it would be dry because of how tiny the chicken looked (looked almost like a fried fish). Overall, I thought the food was relatively good. The Chicken & Waffles Benedict really surprised us both. The Machaca could definitely be better in my opinion. So far, the benedicts at this chain restaurant have been winning our hearts. So maybe next time, I should just get a benedict as well.

Talk about a huge menu, so many choices. Really hard to choose and know that the portions are going to be generous. We went on a Monday morning and there was no crowd, seated right away and the server was so nice and pleasant. Didn't even blink when she had to come back several times because we were visiting and not looking at the menu. I had the Mom omelette which had lots of veggies and they happily didn't add the spinach which I totally don't like in eggs. Choice of sides which is several types of potatoes I chose hash browns which were delicious. The outside were crispy and the inside nice and soft. Also a choice of toast, biscuit, English muffins and something else I can't remember. I had a biscuit which was obviously home made and so good. My friend had eggs Benedict which were perfectly cooked and came with a huge portion of hash browns. wish they had one of these in Seattle.

Broken Yolk is a cute spot for easy & goood breakfast! I usually opt for something savory, something sweet, and of course some coffee. Staff is attentive and quick. I always leave happy :)

    BLT

Came here last weekend for my son's birthday brunch. He ordered the French toast and I had the BLT. The portions are always sizable. The prices are little on the higher side but the service has always been good. I took away a start because the lettuce in my BLT was not good and the sourdough bread was overly toasted and cut my gums when I bit into it. We love the top deck area overlooking PB . I'll definitely be back but probably just stick to the breakfast items.

Amazing breakfast burrito! Recommended w ranchero sauce and refried beans! This place is the most consistent place in PB. You always get same taste and quality!

Stopped by The Broken Yolk Cafe for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu. We tried a little bit of everything and left full and happy. I ordered the Spicy Vegan Bowl--flavorful, hearty, and packed with fresh veggies and a nice kick. It's a solid option even if you're not strictly plant-based. The Tiki Toast was a fun choice too--sweet, thick-cut, and felt like a tropical take on French toast. Definitely a treat. We also got scrambled eggs and bacon, a classic combo that was done right. Eggs were fluffy, and the bacon was crispy--simple but satisfying. Service was friendly and the space was casual and relaxed. It gets a little busy during peak hours, but overall, a great brunch spot to try something new or stick with the classics.

    Steak and eggs!

I had the steak and eggs were average, please order their French toast though, one of the best I've ever had! Christian's service was the best! After a long week in Florida for work, I needed a great breakfast and good vibes which I experienced today! What a great way to start my Sunday!

    Are there any vegan options?

Hi Elephant! Yes we do offer vegan friendly options such as salads, oatmeal, acai bowls, fresh fruit and more! We are always more than happy to modify a dish as well!

    Is this location dog friendly?

They say only service dogs, but they accept dogs as long as you sit in the porch area.

Hi! We are having brunch tomorrow and we have small pets. Do you happen to have a Patio at this location?

I just talked with some on the phone, they say only service dogs, but they accept other dogs and they are allowed in the porch area only. The porch has limited seating, so one may want to call ahead to see what the wait might be.

I genuinely wasn't dressed up and still received some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. Dalton was an absolute all-star, even though he's a Dodgers fan. A+ service. Once seated, though, we sat for about 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I eventually had to flag someone down just to get water. We then waited even longer for our server to take our order. Because service was so slow, I ordered all of our drinks and food at once since I wasn't sure when we'd see our server again. What stood out even more was watching a couple seated next to us receive immediate attention. They were greeted, served water right away, and the woman was offered a purse hook. Meanwhile, we were sitting there with our purses shoved beside us and weren't offered the same courtesy. It may seem like a small detail, but combined with the lack of attention, it made us feel overlooked. The drinks came out quickly, and the chicken satay and mac and cheese were decent. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out food-wise either. The highlight of the evening was definitely the live music. The performers were fantastic and created a great atmosphere that honestly was the only enjoyable part of the evening.

She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! I just didn't like the grass they put on top!lol The eggs were okay. I added cheese but I barely had any compared to my friends. The cantaloupe was a nice sweet treat afterwards. I tried my friend's meal and they were also good which they also enjoyed their meals overall. I also tried a one of the Bloody Mary flights which was the only tequila shot with pork skin on top. I do not like savory and spicy drinks but that particular shot was decent and was hot sauce for the pork skin. Overall, the experience was nice and the food was good especially for the value.
