I need to peruse other stores in SV to compare quality and prices but I would probably go back to Encore to purchase as I really like the pair I tried on. The only gripe I have is the customer service. We walked in and sales associates were organizing shoes, made eye contact with us; however, no greeting nor did not ask if we needed assistance. It was 8pm, an one before closing but still. 3 stars for the store and zero star for customer service.

Most of their summer stuff is on sale but the fall and winter clothes are priced mostly below $20. Customer service is great. I've never had a bad experience there. I go to Douglas maybe once a month but I always make sure to stop by Cato's and do some shopping.

But now I'm in the Southwest and the Target store in town sits near a major intersection looking neglected. There are always cars in the parking lot but most of them are for the Pizza Hut and Starbucks near the front entrance. I stopped by this place, finally, two days ago after work. I was looking for a cellphone rack to place in the classroom. Walmart didn't sell it and I came here. (Target didn't have one, either.) And then I remembered why I don't shop here anymore: there aren't any employees in the aisles! In fact, there were few people in the store and the largest crowd was at the pharmacy. Most of the employees were standing guard watching customers self-check out. Another reason why I won't shop here again (at least during the school year): most of the people inside the store were teenagers just walking the aisles looking at stuff. One teen recognized me and then two more. Next time I go to this store I'll wear a full-face mask and wig. I will add that the shopping cart I had rolled along flawlessly and the floors were clean and shiny.

I live in the Albuquerque area and I've shopped multiple Goodwills there. This store was small in…read morecomparison, and I didn't feel it was as organized as it could be. I also felt like the price tags on the items I purchased were a bit higher than I would've paid in Albuquerque. I bought a t-shirt, a pullover, and I purchased like 5 hardcover books. I've purchased hardcover books at estate sales for $3 each, but they were listed for $5 each at Goodwill. I really wanted the books, so I paid the price. At our Goodwills, they often organize clothes based on colors. I've also seen them spray a mist of a solution to help with the second hand smell. The shirts were organized by size, but the jeans were organized by S,M,L, XL instead of their actual size. I was not interested in looking for my size in that cluster. The shoes didn't appear to have any organization to them. There were no sizes to indicate anything. The cashier was very friendly and efficiently checked me out. This store needs a little work to be brought up to the Albuquerque standards.
