It was my good fortune to engage this business two years ago to remove a number of trees and haul away yard debris that had accumulated for years. Their work far exceeded my best expectations. It was superior to any yard and tree work I have ever experienced in over 45 years of owning a number of homes. They even pulled large stumps and hauled them away. Then the large area was smoothed ,dirt , seed and straw applied to the reclaimed area. The men were professional and incredibly efficient. Obviously I was pleased with the result and have had additional work done . The billing was precise and exactly as advertised. My property was improved greatly and I can recommend them without reservation. If you hire this business , watch their effort and what then can achieve. I believe you will be most impressed. This place could be a great hidden gem for garden supplies, plants, and produce, but it's not. The prices are decent for vegetables, especially organic, thou as we all know organic doesn't necessarily mean it's really organic or local. They have a big sign out front for half price Mondays on local produce. Good luck finding anything that's actually half price here. none of the organic veggies are, which makes me wonder if this stuff is actually coming off shipping containers in the Elizabeth seaport. read more

They need to stop their RIDICULOUS cash only policy. Do I need to remember to stop at the bank before I buy produce! Archaic. If the owner thought he was losing money on credit card or debit card fees, just imagine what he is losing on customers who don't have cash and walk out. The staff is openly annoyed with this policy and put in an unfair position when they have to explain this stupid policy to customers. Bait and switch: delivered product and charged a rate not agreed to. I attempted to resolve reasonably & amicably with the owner Neal and he refused, even though he admitted wrong doing. I strongly suggest not doing business with them, not trustworthy and no sense of customer at all. read more

Awful customer service. On two separate occasions, we visited Brook Run for plants. Both visits, the employees were unpleasant. Specifically, we asked one of three women working near the counter/register for help. She seemed rather annoyed to answer a simple question and was curt with her assistance. In addition, the prices were high/average; no benefit to tolerate rude workers. We chose to shop at Brook Run only to support a small business. After two negative encounters, we will shop elsewhere. read more
