If I could give this builder zero stars I would. From the gentleman in the office who helped us design and puck out options to every single person in the construction, all the way up to corporate office here in Virginia and even Canada, not one person cared about building a solid home. Corners where cut, trash disposed inside walls, and lies about what materials they used. Thousands of nail pops. I'd say about 85-90% of every nail used had to be replaced with screws (which they say they use, but didn't, even when they came back to fix properly, which they did not). Improper installed appliances. (One of which leaked and damage 2/3 of the home and they would not help, I had to use my insurance to cover their lack of capabilities). Improper drainage installed around foundation causing the rear yard to sink and erode. Only "fixed" after I paid for another inspection and fight with them for a year. My punch list was never completed, never signed off, and I still have a project incomplete that they were working on but didn't finish. Virginia is a pro builder protection state not consumer protection, and we knew trying to work with them was best but they won't return any of our attempts at communication and we have hundreds of items still not fixed. Definitely stay away from Brookfield, quality construction is not their priority. read more
