There are rules that have to be followed for the safety of all. This is a place for grown folks that just want to get together and chill without a couch. There is no booze or a kitchen but they did have snacks and drinks for sale...and they allow food order/delivery. When we arrived were greeted immediately and all expectations were conveyed upon entry. We signed a waiver and received instructions and tips on how to throw and play the games. We were given opportunity to ask questions and were able to call for referee assistance to address the issues of great competition. It was all fun and laughter as the professionals threw their axes in the lane next to us. Did you know there is an ax throwing league? We'll, there is but they didn't need a handicap like in bowling so I didn't qualify. Anyway, we came out for my sons 30th birthday and I promise, I let him win in honor of his special day. There were four of us in our group and I scored a consistent zero so the others wouldn't feel intimidated. We played several games that included the ax of different sizes and ninja stars...or whatever they are called. The stars, of course, was my favorite because I was able to get them to stick to the board more often. If you've never thrown an ax before, you should this. It's competitive for sure and a good workout for the arms, back and core...and it's a lot of fun, even when you consistently score low numbers. I had a blast and we'll be coming back sure. The complexity of the structure made it confusing to find their way out and they both started screaming for us and panicked. The man at the front desk just kept on reading his book or phone and ignored the chaos. I am way too old to try to climb up into the thing so I was lucky that the young mother retrieved her son then went after my little guy. Much better supervision is needed there. I won't be back.

The building really is massive which we were not expecting…read more Our 20 month old still isn't walking unassisted and our house is so small that she can get anywhere while walking along and holding onto a table, chair, or couch. Ergadoozy has tons of open area to encourage her to take some independent steps! The little shopping carts she loves to hold onto and walk so while it's not totally independent, we'll take it, lol. We got the 6 month pass and it's already paid for itself with how often we've gone. I haven't had any other issues with kids or parents and everyone has been so polite, even helping my daughter stand back up when their kids might bump into her while playing. It's so nice to have a space for kids to be kids! It can be loud and busy, so if you aren't a fan of that maybe go later in the evening on weekdays when it's slower. I love that kids can run around yelling and be kids in a safe environment. It's also great for her to try new toys so we're building a nice Christmas list every time we go, lol. There's a gift shop inside too so we try to steer her away from that.

Jay Davis is a professional golfer, that is now living in Springfield. My golf game has not…read moreimproved in 20 years, and although I have had lessons, and practice primarily at East Bank Club, it does not translate in the game. I friend who I was just playing golf with in Mexico has improved his game, and credits Jay Davis. Jay is in Springfield, Illinois. This does not help me, I'm obviously not traveling 3 hours from Chicago to Springfield for a golf lesson. I do go to downstate Illinois, Springfield and St. Louis a couple times a year, so I figured I'll try and schedule a golf lesson with Jay when I'm near him. Last week I discovered Jay was visiting Chicago, and he planned on doing playing lessons in Chicago for a few select clients each month. This is what I have needed, to start the lesson on the range, then to take a golf instructor onto a golf course. I just had my first golf lesson with Jay Davis, here in Chicago, and it was at the driving range. He is a great teacher. He took my golf swing, which has 20 years of abuse and muscle memory, and made it easier for me to hit the ball square and consistently. I could go on all day, but the bottom line is, I have an appointment for a golf lesson scheduled for April, a playing lesson. It will be here in Chicago, and I am excited to get on the course. I am so confident that my game is going to improve through his instruction, I am keeping a card this year. Jay Davis is primarily teaching golf in Springfield, Illinois, but he is visiting Chicago on occasion. I think Jay Davis is the best golf instructor I have worked with in 20 years of learning, practicing, and playing golf. If you enjoy golf, or if you play golf, and have lost money to your golf buddies, you should fix your golf game. Call Jay Davis.

Our lane had some difficulties and we had to be switched to another lane but the owner was on top of it and was super friendly. If you come in one entrance you see the bar and video games. The other side entrance, which I saw families use, comes into the bowling side. The place is kept up quite nicely. It does have the capability for food service although we didnt try it on this visit. You also have the choice of music in a digital juke box. If you have the chance come on down and spend some quality family time here.
