I came to Damon with precisely no vocal experience. Not even a Google search on how to sing. I knew NOTHING. But I had so much fun just showing up and trying new things this year. Damon is the most welcoming, accepting, and encouraging human being I've literally ever met. I never ever felt even a smidge inadequate with him, even though I knew and could do so little starting out. He led me to breakthrough after breakthrough with my voice and music as a whole. I'm by no means a professional, but that was never the goal. The goal was to have fun, challenge myself, learn something different, and feel secure in my voice. I think this school is a good value if you have a young child getting started in music. They offer…read morea wide variety of music instrument instruction and throw in a group music theory class for a very reasonable price. The only real negative I can think of is they do not offer a free trial lesson like many other music schools do. As an adult with some music experience, I did not find this school to be a good fit. The group theory class is aimed at young children and very basic. The 30-minute lessons seem to be scheduled back-to-back and feel a little rushed. That may be fine for a younger kid with a short attention span but that's not so great for an older kid or adult who is more focused on really learning. I was a little disappointed I had to spend money on the trial lesson to discover the school was not a good fit for me. Hopefully this review will save some of you the time and money.
