When we went to ask, the doctor said it was due to the jaw. I proved it wasn't the jaw, so the doctor switched to saying it was the teeth. I showed him that before the braces, my children's teeth weren't like that, but the doctor blamed it on the fact that they had suggested extracting teeth earlier. I told him that he had said he would see if it was impossible to do it, and if not, he wouldn't. That's the dentist's job; he knows what should and shouldn't be done. He's still ignoring it and hasn't made any adjustments. After the braces, their teeth look worse than before. The worst part is that I had both of them treated at the same time.

I do my research before trying a business especially for my healthcare. I came in as a new patient and it turns out I had to get a root canal and crown to fix my issue. No problem, I had one before with my longtime dentist but he was Retired so I tried oak tree dentistry. The Dr I met with I didn't catch his name he was partially bald, rushed through my diagnosis didn't explain much of anything but let me know I needed the root canal, we scheduled it I came back and I was met with a completely different dr. A woman she was of Indian descent wasn't listed on the website as a dr there I was very confused but trusted them. It was the most painful root canal I was there for over 3 hours mouth open getting worked on. My temp tooth fell out 2 times while waiting for my crow to come in. Till this day a year later the tooth is still sensitive. Very unfortunate my original dentist really set the bar, my first root canal was so fast so smooth so painless so this was a COMPLETE SHOCK.

Dr. Wheeler did not complete my son's braces as he had promised by high school graduation. He promised this repeatedly. Three months after this due date came and went, my son was leaving for college and they expected him to repeatedly miss school to travel back home to accommodate Dr. Wheeler's lapse in service. This office is only open 3-4 days a week. All of this was a disappointment, but isn't why I am so upset with Dr. Wheeler and the office. I emailed and left messages multiple times in an attempt to figure out my options and what I could do to solve our problem of my son needing to complete his care. Megan strung our family along for months. Failing to get back to me with our opinions. I think Megan didn't get back to us in an attempt to make us finish with Dr. Wheeler. Megan suggested we get my son's braces off even though his teeth weren't straight, and that they would keep all the money. Even though they didn't fully complete everything to get my son's teeth straight. I was not will to do this. Once I realized they didn't care to help us. I informed them I was transferring to a new office. Megan even lied to me and said I would receive zero money back. They ended up having to refund me for the retainers they never provided, the money they collected but hadn't provided services for, and the money they fraudulently billed our insurance. It seemed obvious that Megan said we would get no money back to encourage us to stay. They even tried to get us to sign a blank contract. This contact would have allowed the office to fill in that we agreed to NO REFUND. The worst part is that they misrepresented facts in an attempt to keep our money. These guys obviously don't care about their patients. They just care about money. A business is only as good as a business owners ability to handle problems. And Dr. Wheeler completely screwed this one up. Maybe it's his right to not take responsibility of the fact that my son's braces weren't done when he said they would be done. But there is no excuse for trying to steal people's money.

They were late for starters, 9 am appointment and we weren't in the door until 9:10. We weren't the only patients waiting. Thus none of the stations were ready. If they have creature comforts for kids they weren't out and the staff wasn't bringing them out, to the point of they couldn't find the remote for the overhead tvs that help keep the kids distracted. They refused to find the remote so no distraction for my kid. When Alex showed up he had no patience and tried to force his way into her mouth. I asked him to stop so I can console and get my kid to relax but he ignored me ( I would give benefit of the doubt but his assistant heard me and she was further away. I know because when I said stop she pulled back). I had to physically grab his shoulder. No one like touches so I understood his irritation at that but my concern was with my kid. He states that if she can't handle this then he wouldn't be able to go forward with the procedure. I asked for a little more detail so I could talk my kid through the process and it turns out that he was about to perform a procedure that we hadn't confirm!ed The office had messed up the paperwork and put down the wrong thing for the wrong day and person. At this point my irritation level is high so I questioned the professionalism of the establishment. He wasn't happy that I called out the multiple failings of this office that morning and we were asked to leave. I asked the women on staff if I was wrong for protecting my daughter. Why couldn't they take the time to find the remote to distract a little girl from the sounds of drills and suction which can be scary for a kid. They were already late so what's another couple minutes? Why rush my daughter and then get upset because she needed a little reassurance? It's hard sometimes to not believe that our mistreatment wasn't because of our skin tone. In honor of AAPI month I won't say that I will never go to another Asian dentist or doctor again but I know I did the right thing in protecting my daughter from Alex Jhang!!
