You had to be so engaging to connect with my daughter like that in one visit, that she was willing to leave her lifelong provider behind. We were in need of diagnoses, but she wouldn't have been so ready to switch if she hadn't met you. Change is hard, but you were instant family. We walked into her first primary visit with you, without any diagnoses at all. We walked out with hope. All we got was one visit, but it was enough. When she found out you were gone, she cried. Instant. Family. Today we got her results, that she never would have gotten without your help. She has level 2 autism (along with ADHD). She has been in need of help and we didn't know where to turn. The day we met, something in my spirit just knew, right as you walked in the door, to pay attention. You looked at my daughter, really looked, and you spoke to her in an easy manner. You did what we'd call info-dumps, and it was delightful! And I've repeated a few of the things you taught us. You took your time, you were easygoing and down to earth, and you won us both over completely. We miss you, and a negative visit with her new primary (who spoke to me instead of her and spoke about her bodyweight in such a negative way that she cried all day and refused to eat; the discussion could have been had but not in a way that makes her feel diminished and disallowed to speak up in her own defense) has us wishing you were still practicing here. But, we have a diagnosis! And we can take it with us wherever we wind up choosing. Because after you, my daughter knows what to look for in a doctor. Sir, you changed our lives and we're grateful. We wish you well, and we know that all of your future patients are in the best hands they could possibly be. To travel through the cancer journey can be a very anxious time. From Dr. Dy, to Kate and Deb that check you in on a visit, to the nurses who take your vitals and get you in a room, to the nurses who work in the chemotherapy department are nothing short of people filled with compassion and care for the patients. Through my chemotherapy infusion to maintenance now that I am in remission, I still feel like I am the most important patient they have. I have seen first hand how they do the same with all their patients. I know their jobs can be stressful and heartbreaking at times, but to work in this center has to be a calling. They have made my journey as comfortable and less anxious as possible. From my first visit with Dr. Dy I felt assured that he and the staff would do their best to make me as healthy as possible. I recently visited the Forsyth location on Wednesday morning, March 8,2023. Was exposed directly to…read moresomeone at work with Covid and had many Covid symptoms, including; fever, all over body aches, terrible headache, nausea, chills. Was seen by one of the PA's and he did my Covid test and also did a flu test. He came back in and said it was negative and I was completely dumbfounded. He told me it could just be a false negative and to wait a day or two and either I could come back there for another test or I could get a home test and do it myself but to make sure to wait a day or two before doing it. Why so adamant about that. Now I feel suspicious. So I left and immediately went and bought 2 home tests. Went home and took one and it was a positive result practically instantly. Waited until Friday morning and took the second one and it too was positive pretty much immediately. I'm not sure who is actually doing the test behind the scenes but if I got 2 positive results, one being done right after leaving there, I have to be concerned and suspicious if they are doing things correctly. I would have to say, apparently not, which strikes me as concerning because this poses risks to the public if they aren't doing things correctly, for whatever reason. I do know they can get false negatives and had I not done a home test within 2 hours of leaving there I might have believed it was a true false negative but that's not what happened. I did call the number listed as the corporate number even though it's not really a corporate office, just another location and I spoke to a lady who also sounded very surprised when I told her I went home and did a home test right after leaving there and got a blaringly obvious positive result. Then another lady called me later and she explained the false negative scenario also and I proceeded to explain to her about the home test. She said she would make sure it was not billed and/or removed from the charges filed to insurance but honestly, it's more than just a charge in my opinion. If I had gone by the result he gave me, I could have assumed it was negative and then I would have put a LOT of other people at risk. I have been to this location approximately 2 or 3 other times prior to this but after this experience I will not be returning again. K.S.
