Tropical chicken salad and table-side guacamole.
Ruth C.

Enjoyed our Sunday night family dinner. I had the tropical chicken salad, which I enjoyed. We also had fresh table-side guacamole, but my favorite thing to eat here is the bean dip, it's heated with a little spice. Delish!!

Good food, great service and perfect Mexican restaurant ambiance! The flavors of my Camerones Flores dish all came together beautifully. The shrimp inside the wrapped bacon wasn't overcooked and it was served with pepper sauce that tasted even better with it. My son loves Mexican food and he was satisfied with his beef taco and loves the bean dip here.

Not the best, but it wasn't the worst either, lol! The bean dip with the nachos was different! Most Mexican restaurants give Salas's and chips but they gave bean dip and chips, very yum!! I have no idea what I ordered (Lolol) it was shredded chicken wrapped in chalupa bread (that's the best way I can describe it, my apologies) it had a distinct taste to it. I couldn't tell if it was sour or it was just my taste buds trying something new. Good news is I didn't ended up sick, so it was probably just new flavors hitting my taste buds. But I'm not brave enough to try it again tho. We went on a Saturday afternoon and about 3 guest were there total. They had fans on everywhere so maybe the AC was out and that's why it was only 3 guess. To sum up my review, it's not the best but it wasn't the worst either. If you brave enough to press your luck, check them out and let me know what menu item to try because my dish was not it, lol!

You want great service.... Then seriously come visit the brothers and beer of Lexington ! Do you want to try and experience authentic food that is not only delicious but fulfilling? Just come and eat here !!! Chips and bean dip are included when you sit down and eat as well as a salsa bar that is full of many options depending on your spice level. My family has been coming here for almost three years now since moving to Lexington from California and I will say this is very authentic and what makes it better is that you feel like family when you eat here. The menu is full of tasty dishes and there are also weekly specials available, come out and try the food !!!

Celebrating my son's 21 birthday.

Best place to celebrate from birthdays to I love Mexican food day regardless of what you want to do the food is always spot on. My friends and family absolutely love this business.

I was fairly happy with this spot. Salsa bar for easy refills. A limited selection of draft beers (bud light, Dos Equis, 1 other which I can't recall). Plenty of tvs. Quick service and polite staff. We were served chips and salsa. Just kidding, chips and retried beans upon arrival. Nice way to change it up. Luckily we were able to add some different salsas to the mix as well. I had the California burrito. It was the best I've ever had at a local Mexican joint. The meat to veggie ratio was Outstanding! The peppers were nice strips and definitely added a little spice. The rice was ok, no veggies mixed it. Hubby said his taco plate was great. Kiddos had beef tacos and fries, no complaints from them! I will definitely return.

I needed a good quick Mexican meal yesterday and decided on Brothers and Beer in Lexington. I love Mexican but like light meat dishes best. This establishment has liquidly refied beans as a chip dip (which was good) but also has a salsa bar if you wanted something else. I ordered a chlli relleno and vegetable enchiladas which both sounded good. I missed my call on these dishes as the vegetable enchilada was sweet and didn't have a good taste. The cheese on it and the chili relleno were too thick with thick stringiness and no flavor. The chili relleno had cheese and meat sauce inside but didn't have a great taste either. I may have ordered the wrong things as they have a heavy meat menu that might be better. I hope the meat dishes are much tastier.

I arrived approx 5pm on a Friday eve, no problem with seating, this place is small but nice. We have so many Mexican restaurants in this area that I wasnt gonna get my hopes up. They have a salsa bar and a refried bean dip that was quite tasty. The menu has so many items that I finally just ordered my usual shrimp fajitas, yes they were delicious! Our food came our pretty fast, and was presented well. The only issue I had was the side of rice had no flavor at all. Our waiter was attentive but I dont think he understood English very well, I had to repeatedly ask about my drink ingredients. Bottom line the food was good, well seasoned, quick and the service was professional. I will try them again in the near future and maybe try a different item. I love a easy breezy restaurant that satisfy the palate!

The Jose Cuervo fajitas is to die for! And the fresh guacamole made table side is also a must. I'm definitely going to eat here again, but it's going to be hard to not get those fajitas again!

Well another amazing meal we decided to go for Cinco de Mayo day. It was so incredibly festive they had singers and music players and festive decorations. To bad if you missed it. I think they even had drink specials if you drank. We had a great time. Always fun, fantastic food and great staff. Thank you for being in Lexington.

3 small saucers of salsa. Extra salsa you are charged.

Awful!! Be ready to be CHARGED EXTRA$$$ $7 for a tall draft beer. Sent a tall beer back because a BUG WAS FLOATING IN IT. Beer was sour!!! You get 3 small saucers of salsa free then you get charged. You get 2 baskets of chips per table then You get charged. Liquor drinks are on the high end of the price range. There is a charge in kids meals. Just lots of extra cost for Mexican food. There are many good Mexican restaurants near by that won't nickel and dime you.

Fourteen Mile Tap House has revamped the inside of the building and has made it a lot more open with some extra TVs. They extended the inside bar and expanded the seating area. They've got a pretty solid selection of beers, but I would have liked to see more sours and ciders, personally. They don't have a huge selection of bottled/canned beers, but between the draft selection, cans/bottles, domestics, wines, and even some frozen drinks, you're sure to find something you'll like! The pina colada was pretty decent. It is pre mixed, so it's not a hand crafted cocktail, but I was not mad at it one bit. The food menu wasn't too bad, but I think it could use some improving. The pretzels are not made in house and leave a lot to be desired. We got the Brie and mango chutney, which was good, but we definitely expected the Brie to be baked or broiled or warmed in some capacity, but it wasn't. The menu doesn't suggest it will be warm, we just assumed it would be. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was a little difficult to spread on thin crackers, so it got really messy. Nachos my friends got looked fine, but not overly impressive by any means. It's definitely bar food, not a fancy restaurant. Overall, we had a good experience. The prices were fair, the service was great, the establishment was clean, and there is a good variety of drinks to cater to damn near everyone. I will most certainly return to Fourteen Mile Tap House with some hope of the quality of the food improving.

Great food for such a small, local place! Our server was new but she was so pleasant and attentive…read more She did an awesome job! We ordered the garlic cheese curds as an appetizer and they were full of flavor, and not too garlicky. I had the grilled Salmon with grilled asparagus and sweet potato fries. The asparagus was perfectly seasoned, not soaked in sauce, the sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside and the salmon was flaky and delicious. My husband had the fried shrimp with southwest hush puppies which were both fried to perfection. The banana cream cheesecake was the perfect takeaway dessert and it was so rich and creamy. We will definitely be back!

The owner/chef came out and introduced himself-so warm and kind. He is very active in the community which just makes it even better. Yall this place is a gem!!! Don't pass it by. Hands down some of the very best food in Lexington. Any other "normal" chicken will never be the same. .

Spotted this pub as we drove by, coming into town for a stop over on our way to Norfolk, Va…read more fortunately it was within walking distance from our hotel. Such a cute area with boutiques, bakery/coffee shops and restaurants. I was excited for, craving and hoping for fish and chips and they did not disappoint! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Now mind you there were a lot of empty tables with "reserved" on them at that point. Fast forward an hour later, because we didn't get a txt from them, we went in to see what the story was. They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! They said they would take care of us, and walked us over to the bar side, and told us we would have to stand at the counter to eat! I was fuming. The other three from my party walked out, while i proceeded to tell the manager this was extremely poor service! All he could say was they were busy. I pointed out the empty tables that were empty when we first walked in an hour ago and are still empty! They finally gave us one of those tables. We were out in an hour and guess what ...... there were still empty tables with "reserved" on them! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone! My suggestion is to go someplace else!! Like I said, our waitress was extremely nice and couldn't apologize enough.
