Best stop on our road trip! My husband and I were driving cross country for work relocation. This particular one was New York to LA and stopped in his old high school town to try some local BBQ. We were not disappointed. Brothers BBQ is out of a small building with outdoor seating only. The brisket was juicy and thick cut, the sauce serving was generous and paired nicely with the char on the fat layer. My husband's hot link sandwich was delicious, the meat was sumptuous and flavorful. Finally the sides were surprisingly just as good if not even better than the BBQ! The collard greens were made perfectly, so hard to find a place that does it right and coaxes out such delicious flavors. The beans were by far the star though, I've never had better at any establishment in the country. There's some sort of ground meat and a little bit of spicy BBQ flavor that make these so irresistible. If you're in the area or even just passing through like we were don't wait to give this place a try. 10/10 would come back again. read more

Easily one of the best nachos I've had in about 5 years. It was my first time and I'll definitely be back. Friendly customer service, and the wait wasn't terribly long but the food was worth it. Nacho cheese flavored Doritos chips, nacho cheese, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, sour cream and pickled jalapeños layered nicely. I do recommend sharing this between 2 people. Looking for a place for a quick lunch in our motorhome with ample parking and turn around area. Brothers BBQ not only has delicious food but for us traveling in an RV it so much easier having a large parking lot to turn around. Pulled pork delicious and plenty of meat! The sides were just as good especially the baked beans and potato salad ( red potatoes). Located just north of Fort Leonard wood and just south of interstate I-44. Hands down BEST BBQ! But get here early when they open because the sell out fast. We got the pull pork and fish sandwich. The pull pork was full of smoky flavor and BBQ sauce was bomb. Same with the fried fish sandwich. It was crispy and flaky. We chose the cole slaw and potato salad for sides. Both were absolutely fantastic. Coleslaw had a slight vinegar and sweet flavor and the potato salad was the best. Had a nice chat with the owner. Staff was friendly and service was excellent. Give this place a try. So me and my husband always debate about bbq because I never like bbq sauces so I always end up getting dry rub . BUT OH MYY GOODNESS, THIS SAUCE IS SO GOOD. This was probably the best BBQ I have had anywhere in a long time. If you are in St. Robert or visiting Fort Leonard Wood, this is definitely a place to get some great food. I ordered the pulled pork and ribs combo with two sides; potato salad and baked beans. The pork was moist without being wet or soggy. You can taste the rub with different sweet and spicy flavors in the meat. The little tub of sauce could have been more generous. Had I known I would have asked for two or three. The sauce really complemented the pork. The (three) ribs were shorter than I expected but the meat was almost a half inch thick and tender through and through. I would have liked four ribs but then, I was stuffed at the end of dinner. The potato salad has a little too much mayo in it for my taste. The baked beans were awesome - some of the best I have ever had - not too sweet and not too spicy. The gentleman behind the window was supper friendly and brought the food out to my car because it was raining. Which leads me to the only down side... This is an outdoors location with picnic tables. The joint is only a large wood storage shack. But if your don't mind waiting until you can get back to your room/home it is worth the drive. Considering they are selling out of a shack in an empty parking lot just outside of the main gate I can only imagine what they could do with a sit down restaurant. read more

Decided to stop by here for lunch after reading raving reviews. A was there at 11.10 am on a Tuesday and there were no signs of life. The hours on Yelp, Google and on the sign in front for Tuesday all said "open at 11.00 am". There was another disappointed customer there as I was looking for alternative places to eat on my phone in the parking lot. Unacceptable. Quite possibly the best BBQ I've ever had! We had the ribs and pork burnt ends. The burnt ends were melt in your mouth, basically meat candy. The ribs were delicious, I always put bbq sauce on my ribs, but not these ones the dry rub was enough. Will return, and please keep the pork burnt ends on the menu! read more

Best to call ahead as they close when they sell out. Called ahead and picked up our meals to take back to our hotel room. Perfect for our Fort Leonard Wood basic training graduation so that he could relax and peal off his clothes in our room. I travel from St Louis to Kansas City monthly and have tried BBQ I'm more places than I'd care to talk about. This is by far the most flavorful, most tender, best smile BBQ I've had. Forgot about the sauce because I didn't need it. Smoke turkey leg was so tender I pulled it off the bone it a cheap plastic for and it didn't break. Met the owner and they were polite and engaging but not too chatty. I like to eat good food when I have rather than talk about it lol. Need these gentlemen to move that pit of theirs closer to I70 or 64 so I can grab a plate more often. read more
