The people working there are very friendly unlike the dejected spirits working at Subway, and the lines are usually shorter too. There can be a wait around noon though. These folks hail from south of Des Moines and two weekends a month of travel up to the Farmers Market to buy either pint or quart size rations of these delicious concoctions that likely come from the garden of Celestial beings....or from the gardens of Chuck Norris. Regardless of the origin, this salsa it's totally legit! It commands a bit of a premium at $7 per pint, but we found it to be totally worth it. It comes in mild, medium and hot, with the medium representing our favorite option. A lot of people were looking for the quart-sized option as it seems that the stuff disappears quickly. It's run by a couple you definitely know what they're doing and seemed to really enjoy selling salsa! Well worth grabbing some if you're at the farmers market or if you're down near the store. I'm not sure if they carry it in local grocery stores, but if they don't they should!

I appreciated the staff's kindness as they walked through their Farmer's Market breakfast options. I selected a chorizo taco with cilantro and onions and their hot sauce, which was excellent! They have Coca-Cola products and water for beverages. I'll make them a regular stop on the DSMFM tour!

Their pastor taco also had the fattiest meat compared to the other taco trucks. Their salsa also did not impress me. They serve tostadas, tortas, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, and omelets. The service here was very good. There was a family ahead of me with multiple orders but the man running the food truck was nice enough to advise me that my food would take approximately five minutes. Even though there was a wait, I thought five minutes was still fast! The truck even listed their business times which I thought was very professional of them since this was missing in other taco trucks I've visited. I hope to come back here again to try something different on their menu and hopefully be impressed.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They did their best to see if it was something they could order for me. I did up getting some really great authentic salsa verde though. The people working the counter are friendly (usually kids or very young adults) and they have very good prices for being a small town grocery store. The restaurant I struggle with however, and that is why I can't give it (as a whole) 5 stars. Every single time I have been in there, you couldn't buy a smile on someone who works there. They all just seem extremely over worked or like this is the last place they imagined working. The food is typical fried food...not a vegetable to be found. My husband and I have taken our kids there a few times for lack of better options. I'm not taking my kids to a bar to eat, and one can only have so much Casey's pizza. The bright side is, it's attached to a grocery store. So I go and buy some veggies (usually carrots for lack of other reasonable options) and then mommy can sleep well at night. The ice cream here is delicious, if only it was served with a smile. Lol Call me old fashioned, but im'ma stickler for people at least faking the enjoyment of their job...after all, they chose to work there.
