During the final signing of the decree, 2 dates were discussed as to when I could go to my home to retrieve my items. Unbeknownst to me, they were not listed on the divorce decree. When I arrived at my home, I was as arrested for violating the emergency protective order. The only thing Lisa could say was "sorry"! In the decree, I was awarded the car. During the final signing, I had to sign a power of attorney for my ex husband's truck and he was to sign a POA awarding me the car. Two months later and I still haven't received the POA! I asked Lisa and she told me to go to my ex's attorney and ask him. In the final signing, a verbal agreement was made that my ex would have our home on the market by the 20th of January. Two months later and the home isnt on the market. I had no idea that Lisa did put the date in the decree. I'm currently stuck with a $6,000 bill and a criminal record and I never stepped foot in front of the judge. SAVE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY. Rates are very reasonable, however in this case you do get what you pay for. My case started as uncontested - but later changed. Communication with the attorney himself is limited and managed by his paralegal. Tammy was professional and responsive, however when speaking to Jesus himself he seemed unfamiliar with my case. He never gave me the feeling he cared and appeared to be content with whatever the "norm" for the state was vs. fighting for my rights as a father. At the temporary hearing, Jesus was timid, and outmatched by the opposing counsel. No-one from the firm prepared me for court. I had never been to court before and informed them of this, and even asked what I should expect. I wasn't given any guidance whatsoever. I didn't know I was going to take the stand and answer questions from both attorneys. He had several opportunities to redirect as well as address discrepancies from my wife's testimony and income to expenses, but did not. At the end, he expressed to the judge he had a flight to catch, and the lightbulb moment came on for me.
