The staff are incredibly welcoming and very friendly, and there are usually at least 4 stylists working at any one time, so wait times are never likely to become tiresome. Legend is a little pricey, but everything inside oozes luxury and an experience here is definitely one that will not be forgotten overnight.

They saved my hair!…read more I came here once to see if they could help me after I'd had a hair disaster at another salon nearby. (I'd asked for highlights and I got thick block streaks.) The girls here were great, they completely understood what had gone wrong and they advised me on what to do. They managed to slot me in two days later, brilliant! As I entered the girl on the desk remembered me and came up, smiling and chatting. I was put at ease straight away. They gave me a coffee and a magazine and got to work. A few hours later my hair was complete and I was in shock. There were no blocks of blonde anymore just carefully blended shades complimenting one another. They'd even got my style correct without having to ask. Over the years my hair ideas have changed so I had to step away from Evolution as they want to do the same thing with me each time. I come here for any trims I need and I go elsewhere for my colour.

When I arrived for my appointment and confirmed what I was having done I was greeted with a groan and a rolling of the eyes. "How long is your hair?!?! How long is this gonna take?" I was asked. I knew this wasn't going to end well. I took a seat and the following four and a half hours were excrutiating. It seemed that everyone who worked here had a good pull or push at my hair, as well as a moan or comment about the time. When they had ALL finally finished I was furious. All I had asked for was half a head of highlights (my usual hairdressers order) and what I got was ridiculous. The outcome was thick chunky eneven streaks that looked like a child had been at it. The manageress came over and only by seeing my face began apologising. When I rang up to make the appointment I had made it very clear that I have very long hair but they just hadn't listened. I continued to explain this to the manageress. She eventually accepted that I was not going to pay for this mess on my head. She offered I could go back and they would correct the error but was I really going to make the same mistake twice! NO! NO! NO! I found somewhere else that managed to even it out. Just awful!
