Since the recent horrific damage from Hurricane Helene, the town of Chesnee, S.C. has been in pretty much of a mess. Afterwards, I stopped here in the hopes of finding some much needed food as we lost two freezer loads of various items. Amazingly, the first thing I encountered when approaching this store was a Food Lion tractor trailer unloading desperately anticipated supplies. Thank You Food Lion for tending to the immediate needs of these good folks! Back to yesterday. I absolutely love Carolina Pride thick sliced beef bologna. Almost impossible to find. Not only did they have plenty of it ; it was on sale! I'm beginning to change my mind about this grocery store chain! Again; Thank You for being there for the Chesnee, S.C. Community!

After speaking directly with store manager, it is apparent facemasks are not that much of a consideration, lip service only at best. Even on senior day (Wednesday) there is no attempt to protect those most endangered by inconsiderate maskless customers. I am taking my grocery shopping to INGLES 10 miles down the road, where there is a much more directed approach to wearing masks.

It's currently full of Halloween candy. After that it will be filled with Thanksgiving things; then Christmas and so on. This Walmart and all of the others I've seen are pressed for floor space. Amazingly, they have employed some really helpful and courteous people. The hourly paid store associates get five stars from me. I'd be hard pressed to give two stars to their superiors! The one outstanding and redeeming quality about Ingles is their wonderful sub sandwiches. They use Boar's Head meats. They save the day for Ingles! This stuff is far and beyond better than the meats used at nationally recognizable sub restaurants. It's better than good; it's unreal! Ingles; you still have a long way to go to being on the same level as Publix! Keep serving that fantastic Boar's Head meats on your subs! I'll continue to hang in there with you!

They had a perfect pack of candles that I HAD to have, and I bought honeycomb for The Granddaughter -- she loves it. The young lady at the counter was so sweet and friendly.
