It's a bit odd walking in here, because it's had a slightly northern Engliand gastro-makeover, but isn't becoming of a country pub in the middle of nowhere; but when you get past this, the staff are charming, and the food is surprisingly good. Also more importantly there carvery is delicious. There is the standard vegetables with things like turkey, pork, gammon and beef. They also have the nice sauces like cranberry, mint, mustard etc. The service is very nice and they have a great selection of deserts. They are nothing fancy but they are things you want, including an apple pie with a bottemless jug of custard, nicklebockaglory, chocolate cakes etc. The downside to the place is that they can be quite stingy on the meat and you should not be afaid to ask for more as they really dont give much
