Mike Goth, in the Holiman office, is a stand-up person and truly dedicated to his job and State Farm. When we moved to Kansas two years ago Mike was referred to us by a friend. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use State Farm at that point. Mike was always available for questions about our new home state even though we hadn't selected State Farm. Then the next year came around, and our numbers just wouldn't work out (again not his issue). This year, I just didn't want to go through the hassle again... but Mike reached out to me and his numbers were great! But what sold me was his dedication and attitude. State Farm is THE WORST company I've ever dealt with. From the very beginning, I could never get a hold of my agent Bruce H. I don't really even think he exists. I'm always getting transferred or contacted by his "assistant." From the beginning, I had issues with my auto pay. I don't know why it wasn't working, but I started manually paying it myself because their auto pay is trash and if it doesn't go through, then they will charge you fees. Happened to me multiple times I tried to use the Tow service before, and they were going to force me to file a claim? Even though I needed it towed down the street, not even a mile away. My rates keep increasing all the time. It's never the same and every time I go to pay it's always a different amount more and more each time. today I needed to tow my vehicle and I put in a request in the app. 20 minutes went by and I didn't hear anything back about my toe request. I had to contact them myself and they told me that I needed to pay an additional $15-$25 in order to get the Tow requested. Why am I paying more for a tow when I pay for the services every month? This insurance is such a scam. More and more money every time you even try to use this insurance. And then the rates just keep increasing. $1 billion company and they keep cleaning out my pockets and the Tow services that they use really do suck. The guy called me last second saying he was 10 to 12 minutes away and asked me if I had a ride because I wouldn't be able to ride with him in his truck because his truck was apparently full. He ended up getting there before my ride could get there because it was all last second and so he left me stranded on the side of the road in the 30° a young woman in a bad area Kansas City Ruskin area crime ridden. Wow. Great customer service! What happened to the old days back in the 50s and 60s when there was genuine customer service and the companies actually cared about their customers? The guy didn't act neighborly with me at all. I could tell it was all about money with him. Everything's always about money when it comes to anything nowadays. Nothing is genuine anymore and it really sickens me. They send you automated text saying "Has your service provider arrived? It's important to us that you're taken care of." I don't believe it for a second. You don't care if we're taking care of. You only care if you get your money in the end. Money hungry that's all it's about nowadays. State farm sucks but unfortunately, it's still the cheapest rate. I plan on looking elsewhere for cheaper rates and hopefully I can get away from them. Don't use State Farm. Had to come post on yelp because I know companies like to scam and silence the peasant customers and I know they can't delete yelp reviews. read more

I was a customer of Bruce's dad before I moved out of state. When we moved back I found out Ralph had retired and Bruce had taken over the office. I've been a customer for over 20 years and have had nothing but great experiences and service. The first time Bruce asked to meet with me for a "policy review" I expected it was just going to turn into a sales pitch to sell me more insurance. My parents became customers of this State Farm office when Ralph Holiman was the agent. They were very happy with Ralph and his staff. My husband and I also became customers of Ralph's. As Ralph retired and his son, Bruce, took over, the service suffered and we all felt we were just another premium. Every time the office was contacted, a different person would handle the call. We requested having one person handle our premiums as we had over a dozen policies with State Farm. We were told that's not how this office handles our business. When we finally left and had our 12 policies transferred to another agent, the new agent told us he was certain that Bruce would be calling us to discuss why we were moving after so many years. We never got a call from him. My 80 year old father got a call when he moved his two policies. The fact that he had the nerve to call my dad and question his reasons for leaving infuriates me. read more
