My (very important) package arrived Friday but I was unavailable to receive it at my home. I was…read moredirected to pick up the package at Bruna on the Gijsbrecht van Amstelstraat. I went to pick up the package, but was told to wait another day. I was unavailable to do so on Saturday, so I came to pick up the package today, Monday, July 8 between 3:30 and 5 PM.
I was told that my package was not in the store. Three employees briefly looked in the back but told me it wasn't there and that maybe it got picked back up. I was given an incorrect number and told to call Post NL to track down my own package. I returned to Bruna to get the correct number. I called Post NL, who told me that my package was at Bruna on the Gijsbrecht. I said that I had just been there and they didn't have it. The lady from Post NL offered to call them, and kept me on hold while she spoke with Bruna. The Post NL employee with whom I spoke told me that the package was actually at Bruna, but she said that Bruna told her that there were 50 packages in the back and they didn't want to look for it. I asked if she was serious, and she repeated this to me. I could hardly believe it. I went back to Bruna to speak with the staff, and told the girl I spoke to that I was a bit upset because Post NL told me that my package was there but they refused to search for it. She very rudely said that I was free to go in the back and look for myself. Is this really the policy? It isn't my fault that the Post NL lady told me that. If it wasn't true, why direct her rudeness toward me? She should have called Post NL to verify this for herself. How am I supposed to know what is going on, or who is being dishonest? All I can do is relay the message. It is unprofessional to put me in such a position, or to treat me in such a rude and dismissive manner.
She then stalked off to find her superior, who informed me that Post NL was lying and that my package wasn't there. I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional or rude behaviour from a post office in my life. This is unacceptable. My package is missing, and none of these people behaved in a remotely professional manner. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Update: My package was there this morning... with the wrong sticker on it. That means that it was there yesterday too.
