He was hired October 5, 2017 and paid an upfront amount of $1500.00 for his so called "$500.00" divorce. He failed to file the papers he was supposed to the following day, and then, fast forward 4 months, he agrees on your behalf(that was not agreed on) to cancel a HOC that was to happen in February 2018. Fast forward to May 2018, another HOC, he FAILS to even show up for it, so he has some wack job fill in for him[ Steve Martin], who was unaware of the case, and failed to defend his client. During this HOC, there was supposed to be a conference call between everyone and there wasnt. So things happened that Todd Martin's client (Joe) knew nothing of. And even Todd himself didnt know about. He failed to file a motion that there was not an agreement on the HOC papers before the date that would allow to change or dispute things, so now we are back to square one. He also shares client confidential information with the other party. He's been put on probation with the BAR before. He is not on the dads side in child custody cases. He is 100% for the mother to take the children away and slam you with as much child support as possible. He tells you to send cash money to the mother for support which does not count and is considered charity so you have to pay that money twice! On top of all of this, he allowed insane things to be put in the papers such as, the father's present girlfriend(me now fiance) can not be around the children unless we are legally married, I am not allowed to post photos of the children on social media nor even mention them or their mother at all on any platform or we will be in contempt of court. What kind of crap is that? It also states the children cant be left alone with me nor can I go pick them up. I have no record and no reason to be a danger to the children so why any of this was allowed is absurd. The father(Joe) doesn't get equal holidays, such as fathers day but it states mother day in the papers, birthdays, and other school holidays. As of 10-18-2019 Todd Martin still has not manned up and done the right thing and helped his client. We will be seeking to file on him and are sending in paper work to Office of the Disciplinary Counsel in Louisiana. Which is not a first for him. Hes had his license suspended before. Google him before you ever bother hiring him. We screwed up ever trusting him and paying him. He made things worse. His client has now been banned from any contact with his children, cant see them and the mother makes up un godly amounts for the father to pay on top of the $2,400 a month child support she already gets. His client(joe) has still not been served any papers to date nor got a copy of anything. Funny how he is paying attention to the reviews but didnt mention one thing about any of what was said in this review. Still doesn't care his client has been blocked from seeing his children and talking to them. How sad! Karma one day. I hope he never has his new child yanked away from him like Joe has been from his. How does an attorney allow someone's First Amendment Rights to be shut down through a set of child custody papers?? I have NO criminal record, no record of any kind actually, and somehow, such insane provisions got added regarding me??? I had NOTHING to do with that and why my name is in those papers that YOU signed off on, is mind blowing. Joe WILL FOLLOW THROUGH WITH FORM BEING SENT IN. Todd Martin needs to be stopped.
