Their menu consists of cakes, pies, sundaes, splits, shakes, drinks, fresh waffle cones, you name it! If it's ice cream related, they'll have it. They offer holiday flavors too. Peppermint with Oreos, Eggnog, Peppermint Stick, Gingerbread, et cetera... So many good flavors and such little time. They have a walk-up window, drive-thru, a huge patio for dining al fresco, and the staff are all wearing masks. Stop by Bruster's! They do ice cream well! Went to this place because we were looking for non-dairy ice cream. This place is located near the PGA Superstore on NE corner of Arizona and Warner. Online they list a bunch of different flavors of non-dairy ice cream, but at the location, they actually only had 3 flavors (chocolate raspberry truffle, mint chocolate chip, and pb oreo - see photos). So that was disappointing. The peanut butter oreo was good and with limited options in the area, three is better than none but it would be nice if the website was more specific based on location. I went by this ice cream shop with my daughter and her best friends after a trip to Skateland. This place is just 6 minutes away so we decided to lookup and give a chance to the closet ice cream shop, this one was it! It was great, we each ordered regular size and yum all of us loved our flavor. You can choose your scoops with different flavors, that was great as between the 3 of us we got to sample 9 different ones: peanut butter, salted caramel, mint chocolate, coffee, chocolate chip and more. I was excited to see an ice cream shop being built on the NE corner of Warner and Arizona Ave next to Dunkin. I was a little sad to hear it was a chain. It is a fair size building but with no inside dining. There is nice covered seating outside with heaters (added bonus), but with 8 tables of at least four per table, the seating capacity sign is rated for 24 persons. it looks like seating can hold about 50. They have 2 single bathroom units and it is a dog friendly patio. Before I get to their product, let's dicuss their process. The challenge I view is their layout with a drive thru. There will be some traffic challenges. When there are high volumes of cars, and pedestrians, there will be limited spacing for people waiting to order and receive their orders. I went on a Saturday night with four people and it was fairly busy. There were two available ordering windows and service was slow. As with many fast food businesses, the drive-through seems to get priority. This can create a congestion for customers who are waiting to order and receive their orders as they do not take another order until they have completed the prior order. I believe they will have more issues in the summer when there are longer lines, more vehicle traffic, and people are waiting in the heat since the line moves slower. The friendliness of the staff is similar to the DMV, except here they are teenagers and have not been taught to be friendly. They have a large variety of flavors. All are handmade. And they also have sundaes and shakes. All orders are made to order. Their ice cream recipe is a sweet and creamy style. If you like sweet and creamy, you will like this ice cream. The pricing is $4.89 for a small 2 scoop cake/sugar cone or cup. It is $5.99 for a waffle cone. I ordered the 4 scoop waffle bowl flight for $6.39. It is for scoops of your choice in a waffle bowl, you can do the math. They pass out coupons and they have an app with rewards, otherwise prices would be comparable to a meal price for those families with multiple children. The coupons are a benefit. The flavors I chose were Jamaican me crazy, chocolate raspberry truffle, peanut butter Reese cup, and southern banana pie. my first taste was of the Jamaican me crazy which I had to ask for a description and it was coconut fudge in a vanilla base. Upon first taste I experienced the flavor of cream cheese/like the ice cream base either from insufficient mix or of a heavy handed, buttery cream base. Those who love cheesecake will like this ice cream. I found the flavors rich, however for me it was overpowerfully sweet. In flavor and consistency, one can think of cold stone creamery. I would have liked to have had a coffee to counter the strong sweetness of the ice cream. There was a good ratio of ingredients to ice cream. Most Americans love sweet desserts. Some internationals and diabetic will go into sugar overload. One person got cherry almond and could not finish it becsuse of sweetness. The chocolate chip cookie dough was good. I also enjoyed the waffle cone base. It was still crunchy and did not shatter or break into multiple pieces after being the base for four scoops. I think it will be popular because there are not many ice cream places and the flavors are homemade with a changing variety. I would give 3.5 stars because of slower service, future traffic/pedestrian danger because of the layout, and I was not in love with the style of ice cream. For comparison sake, my go to for homemade is Handels. read more

It's not just crumbled Graham-crackers, more like a Graham crumb caramel swirled around thick ribbons of peanut butter that has just the right hint of salt. Update: I hate to do this. We still love their ice cream. However, what I don't love is them asking for a tip at the end. Tipping culture has gotten way out of hand. Most places will show you the "tip option" on the screen and it's easy to tip or bypass- but this establishment asks you out loud if you'd like to tip, in addition to the obvious tip jar outside the window. I understand the employees are just doing what they're told so I'd never be rude to them regarding this matter. However, I'd really appreciate if it went back to just a tip jar. I am an avid 20%+ tipper when it comes to ordering delivery, services requiring skill, sit down restaurants, etc. but I will not tip for going through a drive thru and ordering ice cream to take home. *insert eye roll* read more

As I couldn't see where to message the franchise owner directly, I'm forced to leave a review on here. Not long ago, this would've easily been a 4 or 5 star review, as we've been going since they opened. Flavors are great, staff is generally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have commented, the scoop size has gone from what I would call standard size to baby scoops. As another reviewer noted, it's two scoops in a waffle bowl had more waffle than ice cream, and that wasn't the case until recently. It was so bad, I went up to the menu to make sure there wasn't an option for a kid's scoop size that I somehow got served. Nope, only one size. To Bruster's management: Please adjust the scoop size back to what it was when you opened. You're turning away loyal customers with this obvious cost shifting tactic. It comes off as bait and switch, and is the quickest way to kill your franchise. Raise prices if you're not making your margins, but don't think your customers are stupid. One of the best icecreams I've eaten in a while. was craving a late night snack nearby and they have a drive-through too! Took a banana split, a chocolate mudslide and a vegan chocolate chip ice cream.Everything was so flavorful and good portion sizes. The whipped cream on the split was light and that made it easier to finish the portions. Another plus was that you could use as many coupons as the number of icecreams you buy. You guys.... I am OBSESSED! I have been 3 times in the last week. I might have a problem. I wish there were more locations in AZ, or maybe I don't! This is the best ice cream I have ever had, and I have had my fair share. I have tried the banana chocolate chip and the caramel coconut cookie, both flavors are simply amazing.
