Great ice cream!! Our family of four tried a bunch of different flavors and they were all good!! The waffle cone and waffle bowl was yummy too! One person got a banana spilt and it was so big he had leftovers! The service was friendly and fast too! It's a walk up window service or a drive thru. No inside seating. The family and I while on vacation stayed at a condo near this place and one night after a fun day at the beach we decided to come grab a late night snack. We decided to do the carry out option and dine at one of the few picnic tables on site. Service here was really quick and the ice cream did have a good flavor and the homemade taste to it. I personally went with mint chocolate chip and it was very tasty. Other flavors we sampled included Peanut butter overload, Blueberry cobbler and cookies and cream. Everyone was very satisfied with their choices and enjoyed the ice cream. Overall a successful and tasty visit at this smaller Ice joint. My wife and I drove past Bruster's and saw a long line while on vacation in PCB. We figured we had to try since we didn't have this ice cream chain in Houston. We ordered Peanut Butter Sundae which consisted of chocolate ice cream (or any flavor), peanut butter, fudge, banana and many more. The serving size was huge, and the ice cream was rich. The waffle bowl was great. That costed us ~ $8. In summary, I think Bruster's ice cream is worth a visit especially from those who haven't tried their ice cream. Go to the nearby Culver's instead! It's been quite a long time since I've written a negative review, but I feel my recent visit warrants an honest one and it isn't good. The ice cream is just ok and the location of Bruster's is decent but disturbingly dirty. We were all very shocked with how rude the employees are esp a younger blonde girl when speaking to a lady who was merely asking a question about her order. I was standing right there and heard everything. The girl's response was so nasty that the lady got offended and snapped back but just to let that girl know she wasn't going to be provoked before walking away. I wouldn't have been as willing to just walk away. Everything is incredibly filthy outside leaving me to believe it isn't clean inside either. The benches, picnic tables, serving counters, and railings are absolutely filthy. Please clean the garbage can. There is no reason it should be that gross. Go to Culver's where the ice cream and custard are significantly better, the restaurant is by far cleaner, and the employees are kind! I do not work for Culver's or Bruster's or know anyone associated with either of them, and this is an honest review based on my personal experience. read more

This little establishment was hopping when we pulled up. They had 4 workers moving fast to keep up with the window orders, to-go orders and the drive thru! Our ice cream was very delicious. We ordered a waffle cone with birthday cake ice cream ( blue icing swirl and sprinkles), a large cup of coffee ice cream with chocolate chips, and a waffle cone with double chocolate chunk. All 3 were very good and the portions were generous. They had some nice patio seating where people were hanging out, enjoying their treats. My little niece dropped her small cup of ice cream. We had just purchased 6 ice creams. When we went up to the counter to see if they could do anything they said, "well we can't replace a whole ice cream." Really? Then you must not want our service any more. A satisfied customer may tell one or two people but a dissatisfied customer probably tells at least 10 people. I would never recommend a place with such poor customer service. Seriously some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I had a Chocolate Almond Coconut sugar cone and it was loaded with crunchy fresh almonds! Just enough coconut to keep it chocolatey. Very creamy too. My husband got Black Raspberry which he always likes. Only con was the paper stuck to the tip of the cone. Highly recommend. This was the worst experience I have EVER had at any business. We started out our morning by checking out of our beach home. We decided to stop and eat breakfast together as one last thing to do. We stopped at the Egg & I next door to this Bruster's. We finished eating at 11am and still had an hour before Bruster's opened. We really wanted to get Bruster's, since there is no longer one where we live. So we went down the road to the Shadow Box Antiques (highly recommend). At 11:55 am we came back to Bruster's. We had a total of 3 trucks in our group. The first two headed up to the front parking lot. I noticed some spots in the back so I began to back into one of them to avoid having to turn around if there were no spots left in the front of the store. As I'm backing in, we notice a man in a vehicle behind us shaking his head, yelling, and shaking his finger. I continued to back in, because there was nothing I could do at that point. Even if I needed to turn around, I would've had to back up to do so. So I backed into the spot. The man then continued to drive in front of my truck, blocking me in. He is still yelling, shaking his head and his finger. We notice at this point that he is wearing a Bruster's shirt. I roll down the window and he says "YOU CANNOT PARK THERE" and I said "why not?" And he said "this is BRUSTERS parking only." And I said "we are going to Bruster's." He replies, "we are NOT EVEN OPEN YET." To which I replied,"Yes. I know. You open at 12. We have been waiting." And he said "You're waiting to go where?!?" And I said "Bruster's..." he was treating me as though I was lying about coming to this business. He then hops out of his car and charges towards my window. I roll the window up quickly and call the boys who parked up front (it was only us girls in our truck). The boys walk back there to check on us and the employee jumped back in his car and backed up. One of the guys approached his window and asked what was wrong. We were all terrified at this point because he was being so aggressive and accusatory. He then explains that the parking spot we were in was for HIM only because it has shade and he is an employee and that we need to f***ing move or he will have us towed. We told him there are no signs stating that. He continues to be crazy and aggressive. He calls the "owner" of the store who showed up shortly after. At this point it is nearly 12:30. The store is still not open and the guy is still in the middle of the road. We waited in hopes that the owner could de-escalate her employee and help him understand that we were innocently parking there and did not know it was "employee only". And that we still had full intentions to get ice cream after this was resolved. The owner pulls in on two wheels, hops out, and charges towards us cussing up a storm. She starts with "He asked you three f***ing times to move, AM I CORRECT?! YOU NEED TO F***ING MOVE. I WILL HAVE YOU TOWED. This is MY property and you need to get off MY f***ing property. You are TRESPASSING on MY private property." The whole time she is cussing us out she is on the phone with 911 giving them our description, etc. We asked her if we could just have a normal conversation and explain to her that we have been specifically hanging around town to support her business. She was not having it. I am appalled that a business owner would treat anyone that way. The employee was rude, she was ruder, and we will never be back here. We left as she continued to scream at us and follow us into the road. We stopped at a gas station down the road because we were all shaking and completely floored that someone just acted that way. We were treated like liars and pieces of crap from the first second. This was completely unacceptable. I have attached pictures. This all could've been handled differently. Even if he would've nicely asked me for the spot since it has shade, I would have definitely moved over for him. He needs a lesson in "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar." read more

Popular little ice cream shop. I tried the NY Cheesecake ice cream and it was delish. Portions are big and everything our group ordered was delicious. Service was a little slow, but business was steady. Seating and parking are a bit congested, as well.
