They do not skimp out, which is a plus! Pricing is extremely fair and portions are good! We got a small and it came with two scoops New York cheesecake: 10/10!!!! This one was the best by far. This place always has a line out the door. My son and I ordered the kids one scoop. The small 2 scoop is only a $1 more but it's just so much more ice cream. 1 scoop is plenty. There's no indoor seating, only a few benches outside for you to sit on. To order you get in line and go up to the first window. When it's ready they call you to the second window to pick up your order. They have many different flavors to choose from, including some unique options like horchata. We usually order 2 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone. This time I ordered mint on top of oreo ice cream, while my husband tried cherry vanilla on top of chocolate chip ice cream. The wait was pretty long but once you order, the ice cream was practically instant. The quality of the ice cream was decent--good for pricing. I am a big coffee flavored person and the coffee wasn't the best. I recommend/prefer Handel's coffee flavored ones. In the picture, Coffee Chocolate Chips: Coffee was alright but the chocolate chips were nice. Handels has a better coffee taste. 7/10 Coffee Toffee: The coffee was good but I am not a fan of the peanut butter taste which was in the bits of the ice cream. 6/10 Rocky Road: The taste was fine but it was just the quality of the ice cream for me. 7/10 Cold Brew The ice cream was so bad. My family LOVES ice cream, so I'm surprised that we didn't try this place sooner. Bruster's brings such a uniqueness to our city! I really enjoyed the walk-up storefront. It was very reminiscent of being at a carnival or even on the boardwalk at the beach. Very different & fun. The only aspect that I didn't love was that there weren't many seating options. There's a bench out front & then tables & chairs in front of other establishments on the strip, but it would have been nice to have a variety of seating areas in the Bruster's vicinity. No one likes to eat icecream standing up or in the car, right?? :) I really loved that they offered a free "kids cone" for anyone 40" and below. It was the perfect size for my 1.5 year old & we didn't have to buy a huge scoop for him. The icecream was delicious! Very light in texture & delicious in taste. I had peanut butter-chocolate & a scoop of cookies & cream. Can't go wrong with those! My step daughter had cotton candy explosion & I was super impressed by that flavor! You would never catch me ordering that because it sounds far too sweet, but it was super tasty! Not overly sweet at all with a subtle taste of cotton candy w/ (I THINK) pop rocks! Super fun. Whenever I crave ice cream Bruster's is my go to! I check the menu beforehand since they keep it up to date. I wish the banana chocolate chip flavor was permanent and always available, if it was I'd probably be going a lot more often haha Today I got the banana chocolate chip & tried the horchata flavor and it was so good!! Came on a Tuesday night to check this new place out in Whittier. Its nestled in between a Wing Stop and a small pizza joint. The locaton is window service only. No tables to eat. Unless you sit on a bench on the sidewalk or a table next door at the pizza place. They do have a good selection of ice creams, italian ice's, etc.., and the sign says all made in house. My son ordered a kids cone for $5 but it was huge. Cookies and cream and my son said, " this is the best ice cream ive ever had!" and then started to do his happy dance in my truck while eating his cone. Keep in mind he's only six:) I tried there turtle sundae, which comes with two scoops of any ice cream, caramel, caramelized walnuts, whipped cream and a cherry, for 8 bucks. Very good. Nice size. I got the butter pecan and there only coffee ice cream they had.. Forgot the name but both very good!!! read more

The most unprofessional experience I've ever had. After patiently waiting over 20 minutes for an order I had already paid for, the staff handed me the wrong order. Before I could even realize the mistake after driving away, I received six aggressive phone calls from an employee who was yelling at me to turn around and bring back the order--accusing me of "stealing ice cream." Seriously? I returned as requested, only to be met with more rudeness in person. Not a single apology--just more attitude. Meanwhile, my actual order, which had clearly been sitting out the entire time, was completely melted. I remained calm and respectful through the entire situation, even while being treated with absolutely no professionalism or courtesy. Accusing a paying customer of theft over a mistake they made is beyond unacceptable. read more

The guy at the window was very nice and helpful but this place is definitely under staffed so please be patient if you stop by. *Spoiler alert* I L-O-V-E ice cream. It's my favorite dessert. And I have had the Taps (God rest their souls) chocolate lava cake. So I am a bit biased in my view on any ice cream establishment. This is a brand new place in the Whittwood Shopping Center so they are having their "soft opening". We went there after dinner for a little treat and boy did they treat us. They let you sample any flavor you want: I had the Cotton Candy Explosion, the Roasted Pecan, and the Halloween Scream (it was the weekend before Halloween :). Each flavor was delish. But anyone can have tasty ice cream. Kind of hard to mess that up, right? What sets this place apart is that they actually make the ice cream on site with fresh ingredients. In other words, they are not shipping ready made bins of ice cream in trucks. They are actually putting every ingredient together on site from the cream to the sugar to the chocolate chips and everything in between. Very cool. Figuratively and literally ;) Another notable: this is not a place to sit and eat your ice cream. It is set up like a stand. You walk up, order, wait a few minutes, they call your name and give you your treats. So it is meant to grab and go. The servers the night I went were so friendly. For a soft opening, which usually means all team members are still learning, they were on it. Lots of smiles and quick service. They have shakes and cakes and other goodies aside from the star of the show which is the ice cream. I had a scoop of Rocky Road (I have a weakness for the classics). My son had a "Monster Cone" which was Halloween Scream with scary candy eyeballs (see pic) and they even had a treat for our Beagle Max (see pic). That's right they even have doggy ice cream! My favorite order is to get a small that allows you to have 2 different kinds scoop of ice cream and even more that they offered dairy free is a huge plus! I loved this place until one night -about 2 weeks ago- I was waiting for an order next door and parked right out front. There were two workers i there talking and cleaning up when all of a sudden I see the woman eating ice cream out of the freezer with the same spoon! She double dipped instead of serving herself in a cup, very, very disgusting. I'm sure they have her on video. I couldn't stop looking and we eventually made eye contact, she definitely saw me looking straight at her that she turned around and left to the back. You should really restrict your employees to do better and have better hygiene manners. read more

Right now this place has three coffee flavors: Coffee chocolate chip, coffee toffee, and cold brew. So we got those 3 and rocky road. Coffee chocolate chip and coffee toffee were both pretty good but nothing special. Avoid cold brew though. Maybe I don't like cold brew but the ice cream version is terrible. They have these like weird mushy bits in it and it tastes blah. Rocky road was really good but not as good as other places. Tried this place for the first time today with my mom. She got two scoops of strawberries and cream which was great! I ordered a brownie sundae...not so great. Service was worse than the brownie sundae. The guy serving us was very short with me from the beginning. When I ordered and asked what toppings come with the sundae he said it was a standard sundae and I proceeded to ask for only hot fudge as my topping, and I made sure to ask again what toppings come with the sundae and again he was very vague and said it was a standard sundae. I then politely reiterated that I only wanted fudge as my topping. When I received it, it came with other toppings that I specifically did not ask for. I then asked if I can get another one the way that I asked initially. And he just scooped off the toppings and served it back to me this way. It's the service that I am disappointed in and the fact that I asked several times and reiterated what I'd like, and am given what I did not ask for. The brownie sundae itself was OK, I personally would not recommend it nor would I get it again. You're better off getting a brownie mix at the store and having it with standard ice cream from the store. read more

Just doesn't make sense to come here to spend money. They came in at the 8 dollar price point plus the classic awkward tipping that happens through the iPad that easily brings a couple to over 20 bucks. We were told you can get certain items but they can only be made with vanilla ice cream (not the full selection you see online). Sundaes and blasts for example. The layout isn't very well planned out either. They have about 7 employees inside tag teaming one milkshake but have no speed, official seating, or ambiance. You're gonna be left to eat on benches next to overfilling wingstop trash cans, and people watching the homeless or eat in your clean car and possibly spill. This particular price point can get you some fun date idea dessert places and this one opens themselves up to harsh criticism by demanding so much but offering freezer aisle taste. read more

I have been to a previous Bridget location in Cerritos/Artesia area and this one is tucked in at the Whittwood next to wing stop and Panda Express so it makes for a perfect location!!! After dinner just walk on over and order your dessert. All of the employees are so kind they make fresh batches of ice cream daily AND their waffle cones are also made fresh to order!!! I am a sucker for Ice cream and I know good ice cream when I eat it! It's creamy velvety and oh so delicious!!! I can't wait to be back to try more flavors! The small which is actually two scoops is priced nicely and for my partner who can't eat dairy they have non dairy options! They also have a free pup treat if you come with your furry friend.
