During worship, the scripture readings and words of the sermon spoke to my heart, the joy of music touched me, and the sacrament of communion brought me peace. Following the worship service I was warmly greeted and welcomed. St. Stephen helps match folks with opportunities to volunteer their time and talents to help others. From the variety of opportunities, I found something (preparing/delivering meals for the housing insecure) to get involved in right away, as I wanted to begin to help make a difference. Starting with this one ministry, I began meeting others, learning of the community's needs, feeling a part of something larger, being a part of "God's Work. Our Hands." I've now been part of St. Stephen for five-plus years. I love that we are young families with kids, and, we are college students, singles, parents, and active retirees. There are many areas of social injustice that need our attention, our action. God does his "*greatest works through people with grateful, trusting hearts." Let us practice trusting and thanking God continually. *Jesus Calling, Sarah Young
