I take both my kids there and I go there myself. Sometimes you have to wait, usually on weekends but most times you get your appointment time plus or minus 15 minutes. The doctors here, namely Dr Davis and Dr Williamson (daughter and mother respectively) are very good. They are personable, which is more than I can say for most and they remember you. I saw Dr Davis through both my pregnancies and before her I saw Dr Williamson. I can't speak highly enough of Dr Davis, neither can my kids. Best GP ever! This past weekend when my usual GP was unavailable, knowing the team at Taringa is only a short drive away was a god send during my current flu-state. Case in point on Sunday when my conditioned worsened and I was in need of a doctor appointment I went to Taringa. On a Sunday they don't take appointments and the wait time was about 45 minutes. And look - the service is a little impersonal but you can make concessions on this given the volume of people they'd see each day and when you're greeted by the pleasant surprise the Dr has bulk-billed you instead of charging the Sunday fee of $90, you're even more forgiving. All in all a reasonably fine medical practice that is a handy number to have up your sleeve.

What I like about Walton Bridge Medical Centre is the casual atmosphere of the place, the professionalism of the staff and GPs, with doctors who are down-to-earth and who will tell you what to do, without ramming it down your throat. After all, once you leave the building whether you follow their advice or not is purely your call! Walton Bridge is also open weekends too which makes it even more convenient and there's a Blooms pharmacy right next door if you need to buy anything over-the-counter to help you cure a cold, fight a fever, or just feel better from whatever is ailing you. When it first opened, like all clinics, we had no problem getting an appointment and getting in on the time we booked for. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and I thought hey, this could be our new doctor! In recent times, the waiting period has been very long... up to 1 hour. There are quite a few doctors here, but none are all that young. The other day I ran 15 minutes late because my daughter was running a fever and arrived there and the lady at the desk told me sorry I don't know how long you have to wait, you're late. I was a bit taken aback by her comment, because it doesn't take much to see I had a sick baby and all the other times I had to wait over an hour... the nerve. Anyway. I might put it down to the fact that maybe she was having a bad day... but I was not impressed. The doctor I saw was great and helpful... but the experience I had with the lady at reception had already left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. It is a good clinic, but expect to wait, and don't book your appointments for a Monday... you can easily wait over an hour like myself.

I'm not one to enjoy trips to the doctor and like my Dad will generally put off a trip to the GP for as long as possible opting for "putting up with things" or self-diagnosing via good ol' Web MD. But sometimes you admit defeat and find yourself trundling to the waiting room. When I recently had to break up with my GP of some number of years, I booked an appointment with the team at Milton Clinic on the glowing recommendation of a friend. I'm happy with their service and as a general rule of thumb can book in for an appointment the day of calling and certainly no more than the following day. I'll also note I've rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes over my appointment time, and even that is a rarity. Generally if your appointment is 10am, you're sitting in front of your GP at 10am. They've been a great support through a few health issues including, last year, finally identifying my two-week zombie state as a robust case of Influenza when other Drs had told me I was fine and to "just rest". They make a trip to the GP fuss-free. Oh, bonus points because I can claim Medicare rebates on the spot.

Now it boasts double that amount. The growth of Milton clinic can be justified by the care and attention they give their patients. At no time ever have I felt I'm being rushed out the door or had a doctor unwilling to examine me because my problem was a little disgusting. I have however had to wait, on some occasions, well over thirty minutes past my appointment time to see a doctor. I would argue its because of the sheer amount of people who rely on their quality and caring services. At times where I have had an injury through sporting activities, this is the place I would go to hands down.

One occasion, I had to have my child assessed urgently, the staff were able to see her and provide great care . Many times, if I needed advise on special care eg mental health care, there was help given appropiately. I love lime green and the waiting room has it everywhere but not so much as too hurt your eyes. I only recently started going here and so far, it has been a breeze. The wait time is minimal, the staff are helpful and patient and my doctor is wonderful. I will certainly not be going back to the bulk billing doctors I was previously going to. Sure they bulk bill, but the wait times were ridiculous and the waiting room felt like a death trap. The Gumdale Centre clearly outlines their pricing structure plus exactly what you will get back from Medicare. If that wasn't enough, they also refund you on the spot. The most important thing is of course the doctor and Dr Webster is a gem. Very efficient and obviously knowledgeable. If you find a good doctor, I recommend you stick with them.
