Love the gym...lots of improvements & great equipment...what I hate are the people who come here to…read moretalk...or more accurately, like to sit on machines & talk and waste not only their time but anyone who might want to use that machine...while warming up on an elliptical yesterday I timed 2 women talking on adjacent leg machines...they sat & wasted 14 minutes without doing a single rep!! Sure, if they get in my way I'll say something but I shouldn't HAVE to!! I can suggest a nice little diner up the road for you people who want to talk rather than do what you came to do... You'd be much more comfortable!! Love the gym, hate the people!!

On separate incidents they have been bitten on the back and arm. During one incident I was walking by the daycare and noticed my daughter lying on the floor face down crying with the worker walking away from her rolling her eyes. When I demanded answers, I was told by Jen Villa (director of guest services) that I needed to apologize or I was banned from the YMCA until I did. I left a message for the board president to call me regarding the issues and was assured by the front desk manager that the note was given, however discovered recently that it was not. In addition to the many excuses that we were given as to why these things happened to our children, we were told that our children are the only one's that anything has happened to. I have also recently heard that is not true from a mother who has also had issues with the daycare.

This person that runs this place can not even respond to emails or calls for that matter. I just…read morewanted information about personal training. Very unprofessional! I was told that he lost the email. You have certainly lost my business!

They have a free week trial offer. You go in sign up and they give you a key fob. I did the offer…read moreand at the desk the girl told me they would need a card in case I did not return the key fob. It would have been a $5 charge. I signed up on a Monday around 6:00 pm. Fast forward to the following Monday (end of my trial). I went in and returned the key fob. It was around 5:00pm (before it was even a complete week). Here is where the problem starts. I check my email and find out they have charged me $48. Why? I have no idea because I NEVER said anything to them about wanting a membership. They do not even have a membership plan for $48. At most I should have been charged $5 if I did not return my key fob BUT I DID and on time. I text the owner about the mistake charge and he does not reply. So the next day I call and he says "yeah, I got your message. I'll do the refund today." He did not apologize or anything. He was too rude to even text me back about my initial complaint, making me think he did not get my text. He did not act in the appropriate manner for a business owner. It took several days for the charge to be refunded to my card. Just on this alone I would never sign up with them because they have your card and who knows what they will do with it. Completely unprofessional to assume someone wants a membership. Now onto the gym itself. It's sub par. The equipment is old. There isn't much equipment. It's a small gym, there are a few rooms for lifting and stuff. I didn't really have a problem with the equipment but I did have a problem with the showers and bathroom. The bathroom smelled very badly of sewage and the floor was dirty. I used the shower room one night and the floor was filthy and there was grass clippings all over it. The showers themselves were also gross. I took my toe and ran it over the shower floor and a layer of funk came off. It looked like someone had used self tanner and tried to shower and the leftover was on the floor and turned to shower funk. I was debating getting a membership here until I used the shower and bathroom and then the whole getting charged incident even before my trial ended.. not cool.

It's unfortunate to say, but this owner is hostile. I signed up for a membership about a week ago…read more Though the machinery is a little dated I didn't see an issue with anything within the facility... other than it's owner, discovered later within my membership. On the fourth day in, the Lateral Pulldown Cable Machine had a malfunction while I was using it. So me thinking that it would have been the best idea to leave a note to the owner stating what happened, hoping that he would noticed the note soon and prevent anyone from getting hurt. Considering the machine wasn't working, I figured the first thing that would come to his mind, was that he would be fearful of me getting hurt on it and then suing him. So I left the note informing him on his desk and then one on the machine stating, "Out of service". I know that not being a staff member, it was not my place to fix the issue, but to inform someone of authority there that the machine had malfunctioned and that it should be worked on before someone got hurt on it... So to my surprise, when he arrived this very morning, it had actually been the first time he would have been at the gym since the incident. I was there running. As I observed him walking over to his desk, he found the note I left. After reading it, he walked over to the machine. Worked on it for maybe a minute and a half, and then continued to yell profanity in anger! This man was so angry he was yelling obscenities. The f-word and other profanities. I just couldn't believe how aggressive he got. Then he walked to the back of the gym and began slamming things. (I didn't bother to stick around). I went ahead and left as the owner performed what I would call, a rampage, because of a small issue that any warranty or any sort of coverage could have fixed. All in all, this gym should not be attended. Not because of the malfunctioning equipment, but the incredibly temperamental owner.
