Very nice atmosphere. They have more TV then HH Greg on the wall. My wife brother sister in law and myself all had burgers of different kinds and there were no complaints. My little girl had the kids pepperoni pizza. She ate the whole thing and thats a raratie when going out to eat. The food here is amazing. I recommend the po boy if shrimp is your thing. There are lots of beers on tap and are always cold. The staff is friendly and interesting. The last time we went in they were dressed in 80s clothes which was neat. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because every time I've been here our order has been messed up in some way. It was good. We went early for dinner on Thursday and had no wait at all. Our server was friendly and prompt with good suggestions. We had the layered cheese fries as an appetizer. The fries were crispy and the cheese was melty, all I could ask for. I got the shroomin burger and it was tasty. A little salty for my taste but still good. Also order was the chicken fingers and shrimp combo, I didn't try any shrimp but the chicken was flavorful. The portions were good and overall it was a decent value, my family of 3 got out for 44 dollars. I would go back to try something else. read more

The smell of bacon hit us when we stepped out of the car!! I knew it was going to be tasty and it didn't disappoint. The bacon cheese burger is a must. And a single was enough to fill up even my teenage boys. The shoestring fries were ok while the onion rings were crisp and cooked perfectly. There were more TVs than tables. It was quite loud but the music videos playing on some were stellar. Service staff were attentive. Chelsea was super nice and even corrected a miscommunication on my beer order . Wow so shocked at the experience I had here today!! I come here all the time with co-workers, never have had a bad experience until now. First of all, service took FOREVER today. Wasn't even busy. Secondly, we had a gift certificate we had won for $30 and when check out came they said we couldn't use it on the two beers we had also purchased with our food. Okay, fine. So we ask if we can at least have the remainder of our gift certificate. Manager tells us no. Why? They said they gave the gift certificate to the company we won it from for free. Still don't understand how you can't give us a credit or gift card for the remainder of the $30 we didn't use. Manager was extremely rude. Coming from a business owner/manager of a business my self, I would never treat customers this way! Won't be returning and will definitely share my story with others who eat here often :-) read more

This was our first time ever coming into bubba's 33. Our server was chandler and she did a incredible job. We really didn't know much about the place, but after visiting we know a lot now. She was very informative about the restaurant and the specials. We received our food about twelve minutes after we ordered it. Also chandler was very good on checking to see if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this restaurant and defiantly the server chandler. read more

Won't be back. I got a pizza with double sausage. I was excited to see spicy Italian sausage listed. Apparently they make their own sausage in the back. I guess by spicy they mean SALTY!!!!!!!!-- yes it needs that many exclamation points. Spicy Italian will have fennel, pepper and other spices that I don't think they have in the kitchen so they substituted all with SALT!!!!!!!! Worst pizza I've had in a long time. Went there for my nieces birthday. Server was nice, but food thumbs down requested burgers to be well done they were still pink, requested no salt on fries and of course came with a gallon of salt. 20 minutes of looking and asking for our server to address the issue with no luck...... left hunger and they never corrected our order. We stopped in for a late dinner. The music and noise level was so high we couldn't order without repeating ourselves. It was impossible to carry on a conversation. The televisions everywhere is an interesting setting. The bar area smelled like the day after a frat party. On to the food..... My wife had the catfish. It arrived undercooked, raw in places and oozing fry grease. Yuck. She loved the steamed broccoli. I had the ribeye. It was ordered medium well. When cut into it was gray a little less than half way through and pink to raw the other half. It seemed to be covered in something that reminded me of burnt coffee and red wine vinegar. The mashed potatoes were acceptable. The cheese fries as an apatizer were a hot mess of yuck. In total a double yuck. Overall if you're going for the sports bar experience this is your place. If your looking for dinner drop a few (and only a few) dollars more and go to the steakhouse across the street. This is mid line bar / diner food at best. read more

Wrote an email to Dawn the General Partner the day after our visit. A day later she wrote back, which was great. Then ask if she could send a gift card and give them another chance which I said was fine. It has been 10 days and still no gift card. And we live 5 miles apart. And anything mailed from Greenwood to the Beech Grove Area should not take 3 days much less 10. So, I wrote her another letter letting her know that the card had not been received. As of this updated review 4/1/15 I have not gotten a response. I was happy with the initial email, but why offer a gift card and then never send it? Seems Bubbas is inept from the top and it explains everything at the bottom. Crazy things new businesses do to kill off customers. read more

Our second visit was no better than the first. The food is average. The music is too loud. The service is minimal. On our first visit, the burgers were overcooked to our taste. The only options are medium well and well done. The breaded tenderloin was more breading than tenderloin. The server bragged that pizza is one of their specialties. On our second visit we ordered two unremarkable pizzas. We received one extra greasy pepperoni, and one barbecue chicken that my wife described as "not too bad". The server made a point of stating they were affiliated with Texas Roadhouse. They may be, but there is no comparison in the quality of food and service between the two. Texas Roadhouse is much much superior. We will not eturn to Bubbas. read more

Not the best experience. First our waiter informed us that someone bumped into him carrying our food out to us & that he dropped all of it... Then when our appetizer of onion rings did arrive about 25 minutes after ordering it, it came without the marinara dipping sauce that I had requested. The onion rings were the worst I've ever had... Was there breading on them or just fried grease? I'm not sure!!! Also the seasoning was a bit much for me. I prefer any fast food joint over Bubbas 33s onion rings. Also our entree order of shrimp tasted so poorly that after one bite we decided we couldn't even eat it at all. So me and my wife went to Bubba's for a lunch date. It was our first time there and decided to give it a try. Soon as we walkeed in we knew it would be a good place, hostess was very friendly, the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. More Tv's than seats and all sorts of sports, music, and Chive tv. They have a great selection of beers on tap, and quite a few combinations of cocktails. My wife and I decided to try appetizers so we could sample a little bit of everything without breaking the bank since they don't offer an appetizer sampler. We got 12 smoked wings, the shotgun shrimp, fried pickles, and Bubba's fiesta dip. I will review in order. 1. The smoked wings were not smoked at all, absolutely no flavor of smoke anywhere. The raspberry sauce they put on was ok but not good. 2. The shotgun shrimp was good with a little sweet and spicy, and cooked just right. 3. The fried pickles were excellent, good crisp on the outside and juicy inside. 4. The Fiesta dip was horrible! It says it was bacon ground beef and was worse than what I could make at home. The grease wasn't drained off at all, no seasoning, no bacon and was bland as hell. The wait staff and manager were great with customer service and even invited us back with a free app coupon. I have to say we won't be back due to my wife getting sick there at the restaurant and me getting sick later that evening. I don't know if it was just a bad lunch crew in the kitchen or what? read more

We've been three times now since their grand opening a few weeks ago. The shrimp are delicious. The 33 burger is so good. Last Sunday I had the 33 double burger. One of the patties was slightly overcooked but was still a very good sandwich. Bar drink prices are little high. But the burger! - We will definitely go back. Cheers read more

After talking highly about Bubbas food and atmosphere to a group of friends who have never visited the restaurant so we decided to eat there for dinner but after this horrific visit I will never be back, nor will the friends who joined me. All in part to the terrible manager they have there name Rob who one could tell had no management skills what so ever. An initial complaint was told to the server that all the food was brought out cold, she sends Rob over who addressed us by saying 'I heard you were pissed off' which in my opinion is not a proper way to address a table who has a complaint. After explaining we were not 'pissed off' about the cold food we just wanted to let them know food was coming out cold he accused the table of being drunk and was very unapologetic about the food. When asked for a corporate phone number I was told by Rob they do not have a corporate phone number to call and complain. Now having worked for Texas Roahouse who falls under the same umbrella I happen to know there is one. I will never return to this location, my advice just go to Texas Roahouse or some other establishment will you will receive proper service and respect along with warm food! read more

Had an AWFUL experience. Came here for dinner after the Indy 500 race on Sunday. We were instantly profiled as we were all still in our get-up from an awesome day at the track. For a party of 7 we were told a wait time of 45 mins, however this table of 10 in the "garage" was wide open. After asking if we could just sit there it was a hesitated, "I guess so, if it's clean" response. Waited for food for over an hour and fifteen minutes and they blamed the slight flickering of power outage on the reason our food was taking so long, this was well after the hour we first put our order in so I have to call BS on that one. Kindly asked the waitress (being a previous waitress myself) if some of the food we ordered is up on the line, please bring it out. The typical burgers, chicken tenders, salad, sandwiches were ordered.. nothing fancy at all that should have taken as long as it did. ALL of our food came out cold once it did make it to the tables. We were not happy however we still picked at the food. People were ordering a few margaritas and mixed drinks and come to find out our table had been cut off (Mind you, we had waters and pops too). I do think 2 people in my party should have been cut off but not the ENTIRE table including those of us drinking pop! However, this was NEVER brought to our attention. The manager must have been afraid of us (his name is Rob and is the worst manager that has ever worked in the restaurant industry) to come tell us the table has been cut off. So when the people who still could have a drink ordered them and never got them, questions started arising. Rob never took responsibility for his actions and kept blaming the waitress who was trying her hardest to keep everyone happy. Classless, right? Rob also felt the need to call the cops for 1 $40 tab that had not been closed out. Cops have so much more better things to do than to respond to such a petty thing like this. What a waste of there well respected time!!! 4 cop cars showed up and did absolutely nothing as there was nothing that could be done. We were not rowdy and causing ruckus or harassing anyone. A huge waste of time for them. When asking Rob for his corporate line to speak with his upper management about our God awful experience there he responds, "we don't have one. We are under Texas Roadhouse." Every restaurant has a corporate line to call into!! So if you're looking for a good place to sit down and enjoy, I would recommend going to Margaritas right in the same plaza for a wonderful food experience where your orders come out hot and very nice atmosphere. read more

It's your typical ADD-inducing sports bar. Tons of huge TVs all set to different channels and booth seating that is designed for the larger American. My husband and I hated that we had to sit on the edge of our seats (the booths can't be scooted forward like a chair) to be able to reach the table. I'm pregnant and there was still too much space, it was uncomfortable for me. Nascar flags everywhere, loud music, and as much as I tried not to judge, I'm pretty sure everyone there was a Donald Trump supporter. As depressing as the realization is that this is the way Americans eat nowadays, the food was decent. My husband enjoyed his burger which apparently was 1/3 bacon and I enjoyed the aloha chicken. The fries were hot and fresh. It's a bit of a Walmart version of Texas Roadhouse, which shows, as it is owned by Texas Roadhouse. The service was decent, mostly high school kids learning how wait tables, which I find admirable. An older manager came out to check on everyone which was nice. I will probably go back sometime, but won't make it a habit. read more

Last night I went to the Greenwood location for the first time. And last. There were 3 adults and 1 child in the party. We were not even seated before she was rushing our drink order. We ordered Layered Cheese Fries. The plate of fries she brought us had less than a tablespoon of cheese on top and nothing "layered". All 3 adults ordered "Bubba's Bacon Burger" We asked for them to be well done. My parents have been to this location before, I hadn't. The server, Chelsea, informed us that the burgers *could not* be well done. My parents say they always get them well done. The server again says due to the pork in the beef, they will still look a little pinkish. My mom says she wants hers as well done, as she has had in the past. When our burgers came out, my dad's was medium well, mine was medium, and my mom's *could* have made it to medium rare, but that is pushing it. They recooked my mom's, but she had lost her appetite by the time it returned 15-20 minutes later. After speaking with two different managers, my moms meal was finally taken off the bill. I had placed a separate order to take home to my husband and teenage son at home. Since there was such a problem with getting the bacon burgers done, the server, Chelsea, suggested that I order them Classic Cheeseburgers with bacon and assured me they would be well done. Imagine my dismay upon arriving home nearly 30 minutes later and opening their burgers to find that once again, the burgers *might* qualify as medium-rare. I am absolutely still livid the next morning to have paid nearly $30 ($27.23 to be exact) for two burgers that i had to recook once home. i will never return to Bubba's 33. read more

I ordered pickup through their online ordering system. My girlfriend picked up the food and came back to my place after paying. The order was missing an item. The item was on my receipt. It was in the emailed copy. It was paid for. They didn't not give it to us. I'm already predisposed to knock off a star. We called... John (I wasn't paying attention when they said their name) didn't seem to care. The food itself was fine. The fries were actually really good. I had the Southwest burger and it was pretty bad. It was also impossible to eat. I do not care for the texture of their burgers. I'm all for adding in fat content when making ground meats, but something about the burger's texture was really unappetizing. The fries really saved this place, however I don't think I'll be back. i paid $50 for two burgers and two appetizers. My girlfriend thought her order was pretty good, but this is my yelp account and i didn't care for 2/3 of my items... one of which i never received. If it had been about half the price i probably wouldn't have started an account just so i could review this place, but alas... here we are. read more
