Came for some bubble tea after we went to hmart. I got the Thai milk tea and my friend had the mangonada. Definitely liked the mangonada better. The milk tea was very so so. The tapioca in it was pretty hard I didn't really enjoy it.

Where It Fell Short * Sticker Shock: A single waffle "egg"--that is, one large bubble waffle filled with two scoops, sauces, and mix-ins--runs about $12-$14, and if you add extra scoops or premium toppings you're easily looking at $18-$20. That price point feels steep, even for a trendy dessert spot. * Portion vs. Price: Though the portions are generous, the jump from a basic scoop at a local creamery (usually $4-$5) to these extravagant concoctions can be hard to justify for a quick treat. * Not Always Worth the Wait: On busy weekends, you can expect a 10-15 minute line--and if you're just in it for a simple ice cream fix, you might regret waiting in line for something only marginally more exciting than what you can get at a lower-priced counter down the block. I was craving dessert and this place really hit the spot. My boyfriend and I opted for green tea and Thai tea ice cream. I also added pistachio to the egg waffle for an extra crunch and the ensemble was delicious!

visiting bubble egg was the best decision I made when coming to America! I go to drink these cracking drinks at least 3 times a week I advise everyone to visit this cozy cafe with the most delicious bubble tea! p.s. my girlfriend's favorite choice is tropical fruit tea

I went to Bubble Egg with a large group and our orders were handled professionally and fast despite the rush. Everything came out quickly and they still made sure to make adjustments if needed. The inside is large and can accommodate a lot of people. I would definitely come back here again. I liked my Thai tea with boba but it's a little less sweeter than the usual Thai tea you'd get anywhere else, I wasn't mad at that.

Loved this! Came here late at night and the food really hit the spot. I was ordering chicken tender and a bubble waffle separately but the lady taking my order told me it was cheaper to do the chicken tender/waffle combo plus it comes with fries. So I got that and it was delicious!

I had the Cookie Monster which as you can see from the picture is super cute The service was average the guy answered my questions and made my food . OMG this place is amazing!! The decor inside is so cute and we love the little egg character haha We ordered the plain bubble waffle with thai tea and jasmine tea ice cream as the cashier recommended getting 2 scoops of ice cream. It came out to around $10-11, which I thought was pretty pricey but after how delicious it was, I thought it was worth it! First of all, the ice cream flavors are some of the best we have ever had!! The thai tea tasted exactly like drinking thai tea and was a little on the sweeter side for me but I would still recommend. The jasmine was light and delicious, tasting exactly like the tea! Both flavors were 10/10. But 2 scoops is definitely for sharing and I wouldn't have been able to finish it on my own. I LOVE bubble waffles and this is one of the best I have had. The waffles are DELICIOUS and remain crispy even after being in contact with the ice cream. Obviously, it is super aesthetic in the way they serve the waffle but I almost would prefer to have the ice cream and waffle separate haha but even like this the waffle remained crispy until the very bottom. Honestly, I'd come back just to get some plain bubble waffles!! The strawberries were sour so probably wouldnt get those again. Overall, the bubble waffle dessert was 10/10, and I'd definitely come back here again when I find myself in Katy!! I just wish they had another near Bellaire :(

It's been a few months since we've been to bubble egg but it never disappoints. We always get the Go Bananas with banana pudding ice cream and an iced Vietnamese coffee. So yummy!

Some of these recent reviews are questionable. We came here 15 mins prior to closing. I asked if it was too late but the staff was welcoming. We ordered a drink and a bubble waffle. The ube pudding drink was very tasty. Light ice, not too sugary, and boba was chewy not tough. It did not take long for the drink to be made. About 5 mins or less. Bubble waffle did not take 30 mins, more like 15 because there was a group of 3 in front of us. Staff was never rude, they were extremely nice even when people were just sitting there for a long time. Prices were fair. Place was very clean.

Good spot for dessert and a tea! We went here after eating at Jia Kitchen and needed something sweet. My boys loved their bubble waffles with Oreo filling, whip cream and Nutella. I got a brown sugar Milk tea with boba and I really liked it. I definitely recommend shaking it up and stirring before taking a sip because it's super sweet! Next time I want to try the taro pudding milk tea.

Great decor, walked in thinking I would love my experience but man workers killed the vibe HARD mind you I did roll in at 8:45 which is an hour and a half before closing but dude was done. Asked for a sample and he said they normally do but "not right now" even though I could see the sample spoons on his table. Also asked what the traditional popular ice cream was on the #1 and he was like "well whatever you want." Took no time to explain Andy thing or even motioned flavors just pointed to his station. Watched to this exact same thing to the person that came in after me. The person came in super bubbly (no pun intended) as if it was her first time too and was a bit chatty asking questions and the worker dude just KILLED THAT VIBE HARD lol. It was super funny. Front employee is super rude. Smells horrible. I asked for a sample and got a dot of ice cream on the spoon then I asked for a second sample of chocolate and employee refused . I am never coming back to this place with horrible customer service. DON'T RECOMMEND. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

This place is trash. Management needs to train their employees to have a little more class then to act like little privileged aholes. One of their employee had the nerve to give me an attitude all because I didn't tip him on screen. The funny part is while he was throwing his little tantrum (slamming the receipt and pen on the counter) I was reaching in my pocket to pull out the cash to tip him; I always tip cash to ensure that the employees receives 100% You think I tipped him after that?? Yeaaaaaaa...right (-_-) ..What I really wanted to give him was my fist. OVER ALL* The food is mediocre. The tea was old and bitter (Like the dudes attitude). Overpriced. Well, I kind of felt bad wanting to leave a negative review knowing they've just opened but it seems to be the consensus. We ordered a bubble waffle and a peach milk tea. The milk tea came out in 20 minutes and was mediocre....,it wasn't until we finally asked where the waffle was 40 minutes after ordering that we realized they don't have a functioning POS system or a place for the tickets that do print. They couldn't find my order and made a random waffle without asking for our copy of the receipt. The entire time management was sitting at a table next to us chatting it up instead of making sure they were running smoothly. Threw the milk tea and chewy waffle with random filling away and went to Beard Papas and Share Tea for our dessert, where staff is actually friendly and you get why you order. Based on other reviews, if we try this again it will be the Bellaire location. read more

It took me days to write this review. I don't think anyone should lose their jobs but, get new staff. We were their for over 40 minutes before they noticed we haven't received our food. They lost our receipt. 3 other families came in left but, then the mess up of the receipts again...this is not a five star restaurant. It's great dessert but, I didn't know serving ice cream would be so difficult. Look at other reviews, they look just like mine. Fix the problem, find a better solution. Right now it's not working. I gave it a 1 star because teamwork and understanding how to work together is the first thing to fixing this issue. Pro: Great dessert place Con: Horrible service read more

Wow, this place is really innovative. I enjoyed it a lot. The different flavor combos are kind of strange when you're thinking about them but totally work once you're eating them. I tried the Cheetos Cheese Dog Savory Bubble Waffle and it was great! Also, the waffle fries were crispy and well seasoned, some of the best I've ever eaten! I'll definitely stop back again in the future to try something new. Counter service was fast and friendly and the cafe area was clean and well maintained. My husband and I went to Bubble Egg for the first time yesterday. We happened to be in the area and decided to give it a try. And I am so glad that we did! We were in the mood for something sweet so we went the ice cream route. Although they do offer so much more waffle meals than just the ice cream ones that they are famous for (we want to come back and try a savory meal next). I chose to have a waffle mixed with Oreo, birthday cake ice cream with sprinkles...it was so delicious!!! The waffle was so soft and warm yet had a slight crispy crunch to it...I'm drooling just thinking about it! The employees were very friendly and helped us with the menu. This place did let me down when it first opened . But, it's ok because it's new and it has gotten better since . Trust me ! I've been here from day one and going on over 5 visits . I am happy they have gotten it together . Great team of people working there right now . The drinks are very refreshing and delicious meaning if u like your drinks with bits of fresh fruits then this is the place . They take their time to make your drink right and not rushing . The bubble egg , waffles fries and drink combo is a must ! Price is not bad ! I like that I could get a little of everything from the combo for $10 ! Hope it stay that way bc I am a happy customer : ). I will continue to come back and support them . Over all great clean store , fresh hot food made when order and refreshing drinks ! Amazing ! This place is really just about the hype. Very "social media post" worthy. Don't get me wrong, the waffle cone tasted good, the icecream as well and the toppings (fruit) were fresh. But for almost $10, not worth it in my opinion. And it was only one scoop of icecream that started to melt into the bottom and made the bottom part of the waffle cone soggy. It was first time trying this place and it was amazing. I ordered a blueberry up with a strawberry ice cream. It was very delicious and enjoyable it wasn't too sweet. It's my first time here. Wow! I'm so disappointed! I feel so cheated for overpaying for low quality food & drink. The combo I ordered was $10.95 for ice cream/waffer/drink combo. I ordered an add'l drink for like $5. Total should have been about $16. The guy took my order wrong. I ended up paying like $19 for the combo & add'l drink. I waited almost a half hour before asking him for the second drink. Drink was terrible & not anything like in the pic. So I wonder why I had to pay the extra bucks for drinks that were terrible!? *Please check your receipts & orders guys so you don't get ripped off too. I WILL NOT come back here! read more

I didn't think I was going to eat much of my entree since the oysters had filled me up, but I ate the short ribs down to the bone! Every single one of those ribs I devoured, no meat was left on my plate. The music is pumping loudly with no DJ but at 9p the DJ came in & took the music up another level! I think the older folks come out early & likely the younger people take over after 10 or 11p. I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. As someone who has worked as a server before, I would never speak to customers that way. It felt unnecessary and rude. To make things worse, when our food arrived, I noticed what looked like a small metal piece (possibly a wire or bristle) on the plate next to the bacon. That's a serious food safety concern and very alarming. When the server came back, she didn't apologize or acknowledge the issue at all, which made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, between the poor service and the issue with the food, I was very disappointed. After this experience, this restaurant is now on my blacklist. I won't be returning.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Bubble Egg. The service was terrible, the food was blah, and the drinks were too sweet. It took forever for our server to take our order, and he kept messing it up. We ordered a waffle with matcha ice cream, but we got a soggy waffle with vanilla-flavored green-colored ice cream instead. Again, the matcha ice cream had no flavor at all, and the waffle was not crispy. I used to frequent their Bellaire location and the waffles there were sooooo good. We also tried their sparkling mango mojito, but it was just a fizzy water with a hint of mango and a ton of sugar. This place used to be great, but it has gone downhill. We won't be coming back anytime soon. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. read more

Stopped by Bubble Egg for a change of pace from our usual Korean shaved ice run at Bingsu next door. I ordered the Mango on the Rocks signature ice cream with cotton candy ice cream and brown sugar boba. The flavors were good and the mix-ins worked well together. The shop also has a three-foot Connect Four set, which was a nice touch and gave my son and me something fun to do while we ate. Overall, a solid spot for ice cream in the area. She let me sample different flavors of ice cream, but me and my my friend ended up going for savory waffle that the cashier recommended - the spicy wing waffles.
