Food was absolutely delicious but the woman at the counter was extremely unfriendly. We were in from out of town and had a few questions trying to match items from the yelp photos. We were the only patrons there at the time, but she acted completely irritated. Anyway, the pork combo plate was delicious, ample serving size and we had leftovers. It comes with yummy fish sauce, shrimps were tasty and the pickled veggies were also fantastic. We ordered two plates and ended up making fried rice with the leftovers. The pork and shrimp spring rolls were also good, and came with three large servings, and peanut sauce that mixed well with the chili sauce. The banh mi was okay. My husband tries every place he comes across and although the flavors were good, he thought the chicken was quite dry and the bread was a little too chewy, requiring a lot of effort to get a bite. It had a little bit of spice, which he liked. The Thai milk teas were good- but note they are pre-mixed so you can't go half-sweet if that's your thing. I'd go back for the food but really hope they figure out how to be friendly to customers -especially with a $$$ order! For that, they don't earn 5*. read more

I was reading a few previous reviews and I just want to clarify something. The woman who runs the store is an absolute DOLL. She has never been nothing but kind and patient with me, and I am always trying new things on the menu. The shrimp spring rolls are my absolute favorite. Spam misubi is a treat for me, and she makes them perfect here. I call my order ahead of time, and every single time, the lovely woman remembers me immediately and ends the phone call with " see you soon honeypie". We found bubble cups on a super hot day after feeling like some milk tea might just be the perfect thing to cool us off. When we got there, it was super hot inside, to the point where we ended up having to take our items to go because we were literally sweating. Although they have a lot of items to choose from on their menu, it's a hot mess in terms of organization. There are numerous items that are printed on separate flyers, posters, and on the wall so if you're easily overwhelmed by disorganization, this is not the place for you. Eventually we did narrow our options down, and placed our order. We were the only ones in the restaurant other than who I can imagine was the owner and her daughters, but our items took a super long time to make. Both of our drinks were very strange, a weirdly viscous texture and both the flavor and sweetness of our drinks were off. After our drinks came out, it was another super long wait for our food, which we took to go because it was so blazing hot. Once home with our food, his sandwich was very bland, chewy and the bread was somewhat stale tasting, and my noodles were greasy, heavy, and very unappetizing. Overall, I had high hopes for this place because of the reviews, but the service was unfriendly, the food was underwhelming and poorly seasoned, the wait was really long, and the heat of that restaurant was completely unmanageable. After playing pickleball on a very hot day, the six of us decided we needed some shaved ice. Excellent Yelp ratings guided us to BubbleCups. We were happy to see that they have an extensive menu from drinks, lunch plates, appetizers, banh mi sandwiches, soups and even fried rice. The two ladies working here on this holiday afternoon were super nice and accommodating. They turned on fans for us as it was warm inside. There are a number of tables inside so we were able to sit and enjoy our food there. The shaved ice comes in a cup like a boba drink. I decided to try Bubblecups and pickup a Honey Dew Boba drink. It is a small store with a huge menu. Wow they have a lot of things to chose from. I will have to come back sometime. There was a little wait as the young lady behind the counter was putting together another order. I received my Honey Dew melon Boba with just the right amount of Boba and Honey Dew flavor. I saw that they also had popcorn chicken and spam masubi as well which are my favorites! I was super excited and decided to try it all. 1. Popcorn chicken: Pretty below avg and flavorless. Wish it had The crunch was good but the chicken didn't taste fresh and it was definitely refried from before. 2. Spam Masubi: Not bad but also nothing special. The rice wasn't compacted enough so the Masubi fell apart immediately after biting into it. The sauce was also just alright and a bit bland. 3. Honeydew Milk Tea Boba: unfortunately made from powder and the boba was not fresh. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, the service was great and I love the amount of different options they have on their menu. I live near BubbleCups and have always seen it when I drive by but never tried here. I decided to take a look at the menu online and didn't realize just how many food options they have. I decided to try 3 options for lunch and was insanely impressed! I called in and ordered the bbq pork combo with noodles and crab rangoons. The person who answered the phone was super sweet. When I popped in 15 min later my food was ready and I decided to order the spam masubi. The person taking my order was so kind while I waited. We chatted up and soon my masubi was ready. Review #115 - 2020 After our quick stop over at the blueberry farm, I decided to take the girls to grab some drinks & snacks before heading over to the beach. I wasn't sure what we wanted, so I decided to wait until we got to the place to order everything in person. The place looked pretty empty when we showed up, so I was kind of skeptical if they would actually live up to the reviews. My niece wanted a passion sunset, but the lady said they didn't have any of the drinks on their specials menu so we just ordered off their regular menu. She ended up with a passionfruit green tea (I think) with lychee jelly and she said it was pretty good. I ordered a mango green tea with lychee jelly for my 4-year old daughter and she finished it so that's a good sign. My 11-year old niece got the lavender milk tea with boba, which she said was ok. She said the lavender smell was overwhelming--it made her feel like she was drinking hydrosol. Not so good! I decided to get their dessert drink, the coconut over basil seed, which kind of reminds me of those Vietnamese che from Bambu. It was actually not bad. I think it would've been better if they had washed out the syrup from the canned fruits. I got two orders of the crab rangoon, which actually tasted better than I had expected. It did get a little overwhelming after a few pieces as there was a lot of cream cheese filling. I liked the flavor of the SPAM musubi as well. I wish I had ordered a few more pieces to take home for my son because he really likes SPAM musubi. Service was a little iffy at first, but the lady was much nicer after our order was ready. It was generously loaded with chicken, lemon grass seasoning, julienne carrots, and topped off with cilantro. The roll was slightly crusty on the top and soft throughout. This place had lots of choices on their menu from Viet to Cambodian to Filipino food. It was a like an assortment of all the delicious Asian snacks in one store. I got the Thai tea with boba, spam musubi, bbq pork banh mi, and sesame balls. Thai tea isn't too overly sweet like most places do theirs. The boba is on the softer side for my liking but it didn't totally ruin the drink for me. I don't even like ordering Thai tea since it's pretty basic but I went with the safest option and they knocked it out of the park. The spam musubi was good! The rice paddie was just a little too thick for my liking and it made it a little hard to eat. I could've honestly done with half the amount of rice per spam musubi and I ended up taking out most of the rice anyway. The bbq pork banh mi was smaller than anticipated but filling nonetheless!! It was very yummy! A little difficult to eat and it fell apart toward the end, but still would recommend! Bread was nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside just as it should be! As for the sesame balls... omg it's comparable to Oakland. I have found my new fav place for small little sesame balls! So happy they didn't disappoint bc a few places have in SR lol. The service was a little slow (5 mins to get my order taken, 10 mins for food) but there looked to only be one person working so I'm okay with that. COVID has rocked a lot of businesses and I will be patient if it means I can support locally. Despite a little bit of a wait, the person who took my order so warm and kind the whole time. Overall, would definitely recommend if you're looking for quick and easy Asian food. The owner is amazing and knowledgeable about the tea and the various "toppings" you can get (boba, Jellys). There are tons of specials and suggestions posted as well if you are not sure what to order. They have seating inside or it's very easy to take home. The portions are large and flavorful. Very friendly behind the counter and informative on the various types of milk tea. What I love is everything you order is made right then so you know it's fresh and delicious!
