We made a stop at Buccees for gas and snacks on the way to DFW. It's Christmas time and the store was all ready for it. There were so many cute items on display, it was hard for me to pass. They had a full selection of tshirts, onesies, wine glasses, cooking utensils and everything in between. Great gifts to pick up on the way to family or friends. We stuck to snacks but definitely might be back before Christmas. I only bought wine, soda and candied pecans. read more

bought a Philly cheese steak burrito on Thursday April 30th around 11:30 AM. Woke up at 1:30 AM Friday morning with food poisoning. Throwing up and diarrhea all that day, Diarrhea all day Saturday and Sunday. Took me 4 days to get over it and finally felt better today May 6th. I will say I have been a Buck-ees fan for a long time. But I will never ever eat at one ever again. We were on a road trip and spotted a familiar name: Buc-ee's! Of course, we had to stop. For those who don't know, Buc-ee's is famous for its spotless bathrooms and massive stores. It started in Texas back in 1982 by a fellow Aggie, Arch! When walking in always feels like stepping into a travel center. This location was huge but not the biggest! I'm not exaggerating, there were 100 gas pumps! Inside, it's a mix of everything: a jerky station, fudge counter, sandwich area, roasted nuts, and endless snacks and drinks (they must have 30 fountain drink options alone). It's easy to lose track of time just browsing. We even saw Buc-ee mascot himself greeting kids and handing out stickers, which was a fun touch. The staff were all friendly and quick at the registers. We tried the brisket burrito: the meat was tender and flavorful, though a bit heavy on the beans and rice. Would've loved a bit more brisket. Overall, Buc-ee's is worth a stop if you've never been. Give yourself at least 15 minutes to wander and check out the snacks, souvenirs, and fun Texas charm. read more

Whats not to love about one of the largest & cleanest gas stations/ convenience store. That happens to have some of the best merchandise, not only for you to wear, but for your household. Must get the brisket sandwich, the chicken & fries. Don't forget a slushy. Some of the best beef jerky available. The candied, cashews, almonds, and walnuts are to die for. You're the only service stations I go in with the intention of only spending a few dollars and leave spending over $100. read more

It's a Buc-ee's so of course it's got the clean bathrooms, which was what we were here to see during our trip down the Bluebonnet Trail. This store is really busy but you can still find all the food and snacks you'd expect to find here. We grabbed a cheese cup and were checked out pretty fast. Parking was not too bad and easier if you go to the far side of the store. read more

We stopped off at Bucc-ees to get gas and get some snacks. The same layout as other Bucc-ees with nice restrooms, beef jerky, a myriad of freshly made BBQ sandwiches, and souvenirs from A to Z. This one was extremely busy because of holiday traffic. The staff were nice and no really big lines to check out. It's worth a stop ( semi trucks prohibited) to stop for literally most things needed for the road. read more

No road trip is complete without a trip to Bucees! Cheap gas, huge bathrooms, fun merch, and a huge variety of food options including a bakery, BBQ area, wall of jerky, soda fountains, and aisles upon aisles of snacks. On the route between Houston and Dallas, this one has cheaper gas and is usually a little less crowded, but still generally full. Highlights include anything with brisket, especially the brisket egg tacos, and the roasted pecans. Sausage kolaches are solid. Best Buc-ee's I ever been to. My friend Anjayla was so correct about this location being the best one. This was always her halfway mark to being home. this Buc-ee's is always in our stop plans. I was able to find NFL and university's lanyards here. I was able to add 4 more to my son's collection. Cowboys, Texas tech, UT, Texas AM. They had so many things to offer here from baby clothes to Christmas adults onesies. I definitely will stop here in Ennis every time I'm passing through. read more

Bought the beef brisket.....it should have been labeled 95% fat, 5% beef brisket. It was disgusting. Had to throw it out and they had the nerve to charge $14.00 for a few slices of fat. read more

Another trip to Bu-cee's and like always, impressed. The restrooms were clean and there is always one available and if you do have to wait it's never for long. The place was packed but that's b/c it's an awesome place with everything you need and more. I was able to get my cherry icee which was terrific on this nice hot day especially while riding my can-am Spyder. read more

This place is as awesomely cool as everyone says it to be. The reason for the 3 stars is the day I came in they had zero water. You couldn't buy fountain drinks or wash your hands after using the restroom. But you could hand sanitize afterwards. It was still pretty gross to think about how many people didn't hand sanitize and etc. I wish they at least had wipes. I made shift a wipe with hand sanitizer and the paper towels, but again I watched so many people walk out afterwards without doing anything because the sinks were blocked off. Otherwise parking was a little hard and it was crowded. Definitely a fun and cool place to stop at. Though I wished they just closed down the restroom to prevent the nastiness. read more

Today I wanted to get an Ice Coffee at the Ennis, TX location. I chose the Styrofoam cup instead of the clear plastic cup. I wanted to preserve the cold coffee for my long trip, instead of the clear cup that sweats & melts the ice faster. I thought it was a commonsense thing, not a take 'em to prison offense. Three employees approached me, a man & 2 women. The man told me to use clear cup after I'd already filled my Styrofoam cup. Then, as I was putting Creamer in it, two women employees came over to tell me NOT TO USE STYROFOAM CUP, I HAD TO USE THE PLASTIC ONE. I asked the lady if I could use this cup since it's already fixed, & that I would pay extra if need be because this was what I wanted. She said no, that it's company policy regarding which cup to use. So, I just pitched the coffee in the trash. I have been a customer for as long as Buc-ees Madisonville was built. Then, also enjoyed having three Buc-ees (after 2 more were built) on my route to take care of family members. I have bragged to SO many people about service, products, food, & cleanliness at Buc-ees. BUT TODAY, THE BUC-EES COFFEE CUP POLICE WERE ACTING LIKE LITTLE BULLIES......CERTAINLY, THIS CUSTOMER WASN'T TREATED AS THOUGH THE "CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT". I can go anywhere else to be treated poorly. I don't need to be policed, & treated like an errant child when I just want some coffee in a proper container. read more

Buc-ee's is INSANE! Love, love, love Buc-ee's! This is a must when in Texas, the perfect place to stop by whenever on the road, conveniently located off the highway. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I did a little bit of research and as of August 2024 there are 50 Buc-ee's location in the US and 35 of them are located in Texas. Other states that have Buc-cee's are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Colorado, Ohio, Tennessee and South Carolina. The overall atmosphere of Buc-ee's is hard to describe...it's part gas station, part giant convenience store, and part something unique, an experience that goes beyond a simple refueling station. I spent an hour exploring and still felt like I hadn't seen everything. They have everything you need from home decor, hats, clothing, sunglasses, souvenirs. Snacks, drinks, salads, burritos, barbecue, fudge, jerky, cinnamon rolls, cookies, etc, etc! Their coffee selection is insane and delicious, they have lots of options and a variety of creamers. One of the most impressive aspects of Buc-ee's is the cleanliness of their restrooms. They were immaculate, well-maintained and spacious. Can't wait to stop by again! read more

I am continuing my tour of Texas Buc-ee's, having been to the one in Melissa (northeast of Dallas) a couple of days ago and now I'm in Ennis (southeast of Dallas). At 6:00 pm on a Saturday evening, the place was quite full with nearly all the gas pumps being used and people all about the store inside. Like other Buc-ee's, you can expect fresh brisket and barbecue sandwiches, candied nuts, fudge, slushie drinks, coffee with a variety of creamers and sweeteners, snacks, sodas, of course lots of jerky options. And then the store with clothing, towels, hats, decor (some Buc-ee's related, some just Texas), and so much more! Did I mention the ultra-clean restrooms? Yes, Buc-ee's is hiring and their pay rates look pretty darned awesome. Big parking lot that I had no trouble with my Sprinter van. Class A motorhomes might be challenged but they are allowed. I was in the Ennis Area. So my friends and I headed to Buccee's. We were greeted right away. We got out photo taken w Buccee, That was nice. I feel,like they have a lot more merch than the North Fort Worth location. I was oohing and ahhing through the store lol. Gosh, it was like food heaven in there. I was looking for some Chocolate Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt from a dispenser. A Buccee's Associate told me they have a small Freezer with just a few items like Blue Bell Ice Cream and Buccee's Pop's. The Chocolate Blue Bell cup was just $1.25. It was so much fun looking around and getting My Chocolate fix on. There's no way around the crowd. Unless, you go at night. Typically we steer clear of Buc-ee's on major highways because they are always SO PACKED but we decided to give it a try on our way home from Dallas to Houston. It's odd that both this Buc-ee's and the one in Madisonville are both on the northbound side. Nonetheless, it's not *that* hard to cross over the highway to get here. This place is huge and yes, VERY busy. Luckily there are lots of pumps, lots of stalls in the restrooms, lots of options for food and drinks... only, with all the options, I was disappointed they didn't have the kind I was looking for: diet ginger ale. They had regular in both the bottle and fountain but the diet drinks are a bit lacking. Our kiddos got their usual, Icees and fresh, hot beaver chips (homemade potato chips). There are always plenty of gas pumps and cashiers inside. They have very large bags of ice. Too big!! I had to go from one side of this giant store for drinks, the middle for ready made sandwiches & bathrooms (very clean!) then opposite side of the store had everything else you can imagine. Food was ok for having sat in a warming area for who knows how long. Hard to find real Coke. Mainly Buckee's brands. Lots& lots of gas islands, but traffic is kaotic especially if you have a trailer or RV. THEM, finally no place to eat inside or out. Picnic tables would be nice! I absolutely love Buc-ee's! Everytime I visit Texas and see one, I always have to stop and load up on all my favorite items. I was slightly disappointed this time because I was looking forward to getting some of their famous roasted pecans. They had some available, but for the same price as the roasted almonds and cashews, the pecans were packaged in a much smaller brown bag and not the usual cone shaped Buc-ee's packaging. So I sadly had to pass on the roasted pecans this time. They also didn't have my favorite Boston peanuts. ;-( Other than that, I got everything I came for. Definitely makes a pit stop worth it. Second Buc-ee location I've visited. This one was more crowded both at the pumps and the store but wasn't a problem. Bathrooms were huge and clean. Wide variety of food. The chopped brisket is known to be the best---it was the WORSE EVER The brisket was huge chunks like the size of a golf ball WTF!! Stopped here on the way to Houston, and in a quest to stop at every Bucees that is on our travels, I decided to actually get some food from this location. The location is your standard setup - middle areas for freshly made brisket sandwiches and pulled pork sandwiches, as well as bakery counters, MTO food, and the usual convenience store areas and clothing and decor areas. I decided to get a little of everything: A Texas BLT, a premade Brisket sandwich, and a Texas cheesesteak burrito. BLT: This was ordered on the MTO screens, which I had never done. Come with BLT, as well as a spicy mayo sauce. This was actually very good. I have decided I am going to get BLT's more often, and this was a good start to that crusade. Brisket Sandwich: Very good - could use some more sauce, but the bread and meat was very tender and fresh. So it's a huge gas station but you go inside, they have clothing, jewelry, gifts, food, etc.. The brisket is highly recommended but we were too full to try it. But I did buy some pecans because I saw on yelp. Somebody said they were pretty good. We also bought a few other little gifts. I even got a muffin and yogurt parfait for breakfast tomorrow.
