You can literally find just about anything you need here, from snacks and souvenirs to fresh food and desserts. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh brisket and barbecue hits you right away. The brisket sandwiches are fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The bakery section is dangerous in the best way possible, filled with so many delicious goodies and sweet treats that it's hard to choose just one. The hot food section had so many tasty options available that I honestly couldn't decide what to get. Everything looked fresh, hot, and delicious. No matter what you're craving, they probably have it. The store itself was super clean, well organized, and surprisingly efficient considering how busy it gets. The staff kept everything moving smoothly, and the atmosphere was fun and energetic. If you've never been to Buc-ee's, you need to stop at least once. Back again from California for Easter cruise 2026 The fudge assortment box was stale. I threw it in the trash. Sandwiches were good. Pulled pork and brisket. Had chicken strips too. The potato chip things were not good. They were stale and soggy. We were able to get a couple of bottles of wine for the hotel room next door. Love the commitment to this character and the Texas City location was a perfect introduction to this little icon. Lot's Buc-ee's themed products and food items to purchase to take home. They also have popular brand clothing, sunglasses, etc. ended up grabbing their Brisket sandwich to my flight and it was still good to eat heated in a toaster oven. Actually my first visit to this Texas City location! I've had more opportunities than I can count to stop but always said "next time" or "we'll stop at the Waller, or Katy location". You know how that is. I rarely have an issue with any location and that can be said here. That crazy little beaver can do no wrong in my book (ok well, almost no wrong). Great selection. This is a very impressive Buc-ee's. It's large, easy access from I-45, has lots of food and beverage options, a variety of merchandise, clean restrooms and nice customer service, too. There are plenty of gas stations and also a Tesla Supercharger at this location. We stopped in on our way south to Galveston and enjoyed shopping here. No stop in TX is complete without stopping at Buccees! The store is overwhelming but has everything you could need or want! We grabbed a brisket sandwich (always a hit $8.99), beaver nuggets in the bold & spicy flavor, and tried difficult varieties of chips. Our favorite is the wavy Bold n Blended. If you have never had beaver nuggets also try the original which reminds me of Corn Pops cereal but sweeter with a caramel coating. Tons of Beaver merch and we also grab the fresh warm coated cashews. An experience like no other! Make sure you go to the Texas City one! read more

Buc-cee's is the business. I first wandered into Buc-cee's back in June of 2021. It was an experience to be had! Coming from California, I had never heard of it before, but its trademark bucktooth beaver on every Texas freeway billboard told me I needed to stop in, so I did. I believe it was the location in Katy, on my way back to Houston from visiting my bestie from 2nd grade (she lives in San Antonio). That was a BIG Buc-cee's, and this location in Texas City reminded me of the joys I had back in Katy. The "glorified rest stop," as my bestie described it, is still such a jolly place to be. I can't believe it has everything you could possibly want/need. Whether it be for gift giving, running in for some snackies and drinks for a road trip, or just simply going in to treat yourself to whatever, Buccees has it all. On this particular visit, I picked up a bunch of Buc-cee's branded merch including 4 shirts for myself, some souvenirs for family, and a delicious Club Melt. I also couldn't leave without a piece of their famous fudge! Blueberry Cheesecake please!! This store location is pretty damn big, but I heard there are other locations even bigger! I'll have to go to one of those one day, ans you better believe I'll go buck wild again, lol! First time at a Buc-ee's, ever! What an experience. It is a gas station, truck stop, department store with fresh and hot meals you grab and go! I'm still in awe of how huge Buc-ee's is. It literally has everything you'll need for any road trip plus more. It's super clean and organized. I was drawn to their food section! Brisket sandwiches, chicken fingers with fries, large sodas for $1.19! They have baked goods, candied nuts, snack and a huge variety of jerky! They also have home decor, clothing and camping items. What a vibe. I got their chicken fingers and fries for lunch and it was amazing. Fries are lightly battered giving it a crispy outside and tender inside! Chicken tenders were fried nicely. I'd get it again but maybe add a brisket sandwich the locals keep recommending. I hope to check out more Buc-ee's! read more

Bucee's is a Texas staple that any out of towner must stop at. It's an elevated gas station that has a variety of hot foods, sweets, icees, drinks, and Bucee brand merch. I got the brisket sandwich which was filled with meat and the sauce was so good! I added pickles and onions on my sandwich. I also bought a box of mixed fudge and buccee treats to bring back home. We were staying at the hotel near by and walked over to grab some bbq for dinner. We got drinks, snacks, dessert, and meals. Everything was good. We enjoyed watching the employees prepare the bbq. We stopped at Buccees Texas City on the way from Galveston for a weekend event. Getting here was rather tricky. Not the fault of Buccees but the construction was terrible. Once we made it there, we were greeted by all the friendly faces. It was a nice sized crowd as usual, a Sunday morning with lots of travelers. They had plenty of stock on snacks and the hot sandwiches were being freshly made. I got a hot club sandwich and some kettle chips. Also some snacks, banana chips and candied pecans. No disappointments here except the construction. It's better to stop on the way to Galveston as opposed to the way back. read more

What's going on with this Buccees? This used to be a regular stop for me and the family, but wow, staff and management have gotten so rude! The gas pumps are scary with some of the folks who are less than respectful. It's cost too much money for employees to be so uncaring and rude. I can go get bargain gas down the road at Sam's, bathroom break can wait for a less stressful venue when planned. I genuinely do not understand the policy at Buc-ee's requiring customers to pay with a credit/debit card at the pump while sending cash customers inside. If I'm paying with a card, why force me to stand outside and use a gas pump reader -- especially when pump skimming and card fraud are real concerns? Many people prefer to pay inside specifically because it feels safer and more secure. Others want a receipt printed properly, want to control the exact dollar amount, or simply prefer interacting with a cashier. For a store that's known for being massive and customer-focused, this policy feels unnecessarily restrictive. It removes customer choice for no clear reason. If someone wants to pay inside with a card, they should be able to. Period. It's an odd rule that creates frustration where there doesn't need to be any. Do BETTER! This seems illegal. read more

If you've never made a pilgrimage to a Buc-ee's, it should be on your bucket list because there's virtually nothing like it in America. Many customers come here for their clean bathrooms, and I have to admit the men's room has 30 urinals and a dozen stalls. They have a coffee bar and drink stations that even Quiktrip can't compete with. This place is a bakery, barbecue joint, Bed, Bath and beyond, and a Walmart all rolled into one. Definitely a great place to pick up breakfast tacos and numerous hot grab and go items. Tons of cold drinks, wine, and beer. This place also doubles as the jerky center of the universe. Absolute disappointment! Not pet friendly at all. One would think that a large scale convenience center, that cateres to travelers, would know that millions of Americans travel with their pets every year. I carried my 11 pound Maltipoo, in a pet carrier, into the store to use Buc-ees world famous restroom (me...not my dog). I was immediately stopped at the door and refused entrance. The employee told me that I was welcome to put the dog in my car and come back in to shop. Well gee thanks! Good to know that they were willing to offer a compromise in order to take my money. Inside, all the usual Buc-ee's merchandise including stuffed animals, t-shirts, sweaters, bumper stickers and such. A bit more "beach" stuff here. Brisket, jerky, coffee, candied nuts, soda fountains, icee's, coolers with drinks, just so much stuff here that it's overwhelming. If you have to wait (which I never have) then you are not waiting for long. Plenty of parking spots to take a break from your road trip, let your dog out to stretch and pee, potty break, or just go shopping! Not all Buc-ee's provide all the items. Ther are smaller ones but the big ones are where it's at. Restrooms are always clean and a stall available. Grab all kinds of snacks and they have their own special items like beaver nuggets. If you didn't know Buc-ee's is a beaver. Also slushi!!!!! Omg they brisket sandwiches are on point but they also have tacos and dessert. Great place to get bday and Xmas gifts! Well...police blocking off all entrances is never a good sign. We tried to stop here on the way back from Galveston. All entrances to the parking lot were blocked by police. We got the following items: spicy pickled eggs, pickled okra, candied cashews, 2 chopped beef sandwiches, grapes, a sausage on a stick, and Bbq chips. My favorite wild card was the pickled okra. Don't come hungry, or else you will end up with one of everything. There's just way too many snacks and sweets to look at! The souvenirs section is also a hoot. The closest thing to Buc-ee's as a Californian is Eddie World on the way to Las Vegas but this place is 100x better! I've seen Buc-ee's videos everywhere on social media and I was so excited to finally go. As soon as my GF picked me up from the airport, she wanted to take me to this GINORMOUS Buc-ee's and it was the right call. Bought some touristy boot shot glasses to take back home. Got some roasted nuts which were delicious. I've had their beef jerky before so I got some which were also delicious. Got their Big Buckin' Brisket XXL Sandwich which was DELICIOUS AF, 100% RECOMMENDED! Can't forget their beaver nuggets which are so sweet but so delicious!
