My first appointment with Dr. Samira was one of the most disrespectful and dismissive experiences I have ever had in healthcare. From the moment she entered the room, I felt as though she had no interest in hearing my concerns. There was no introduction or even a simple question about how I was doing. Instead, she immediately focused on the fact that I do not currently have a gynecologist in the area. After I explained my situation, she told me that it was "irresponsible" of me, as a young woman, not to already have one. I found this comment extremely inappropriate and judgmental, especially considering it had nothing to do with the reason for my appointment. The entire appointment felt rushed from beginning to end. She asked me only three questions about my primary complaint. When I tried to provide additional information and offered to show her a log I had kept documenting my symptoms, she dismissed me and said, "That doesn't matter. I have to treat you anyway." I was repeatedly interrupted when trying to explain what I had been experiencing. At the end of the appointment, I was given an order for blood work that was never discussed or explained to me. Shortly afterward, my pharmacy notified me that a very expensive prescription was ready for pickup. I had never discussed this medication with Dr. Samira, I did not requested it, and was given absolutely no explanation of what it was for, why it had been prescribed, or how I was supposed to take it. I left the appointment with more questions than answers and feeling genuinely disrespected as a patient. The most frustrating part was not simply the rushed appointment--it was the complete lack of communication and the unwillingness to listen to me when I was actively trying to provide information about my own symptoms. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. I felt dismissed, rushed, and disrespected throughout the appointment. I would not recommend this experience to anyone looking for a physician who makes their patients feel heard and respected.

I called and spoke to a very friendly lady the week before last who told me she had to see if they could take us on as their practice is full. She checked and we were told that they would take our family, but that we have to drive over to the office to pick up the new patient paperwork and that they couldn't email it to us (that should've been our first clue). My wife drove over there today and, because we have a higher deductible plan with United Healthcare (because I am an executive with a large national company and I'm comfortable paying a bit more out of pocket each year, if we happen to end up going to the doctor more than expected). My wife told me that the office manager treated her so rudely and told her that they changed their mind and don't take patients on higher deductible plans. She said the way the lady looked at her and treated her was appalling. Also, my wife told me that they are very antiquated and are operating out of paper files and it's probably for the best that we dodged that bullet.

The doctor doesn't seem to care too much what the patient has to say. Disappointingly, during the entire pandemic I have not seen one person wearing a mask at that office. Even though the entrance at the elevator had a huge sign asking patients to wear a face cover, not one staff member has been wearing a mask this entire time. Not only is it a terrible example of safety, but it seems hypocritical to ask patients to cover up meanwhile the people who are supposed to be taking care of the patients seem not to care if they get sick themselves, or if they sicken their own patients.
