When you order a book, you can also order it just to have a look at the item in reality, thus you don't have to buy it if you don't like it. The range of books, but also handcraft products, CDs, DVDs, teaching material is still stunning. There is also a huge variety of books in different languages. It is great to see that they even improve where you think ther is no space to do so. Hats off!!!

Located on Mariahilferstraße and sprawling over three floors Thalia is fairly extensive. There is a large English and smaller Spanish language section at the back of the store. Diverse selection of books, DVDs, CDs and stationary and many members of staff just waiting to find what you're looking for. Not too expensive either and if you look deep enough there are some good bargains to be had. Well worth a few minutes.

Second-hand CDs priced in the €4-7 area rather than €8-10 as I discovered in other stores. Lots of 7"s and, uniquely, a section dedicated to record care (PVC sleeves etc.). A must-visit for any music fan.
