Found this place on Yelp and wanted to check it out. I like that you can build your own bag which was the draw versus just a preassembled choice. The menu also had baskets like fish and chips and such if you don't want to do the messy eating. We got there and were seated right away. Small parking lot for a few restaurants that are all next to each other. Our waitress was nice and checked on us a few times during our time there. I got a cluster of the snow crab and 1/2 lb clams. I did a mix of the garlic and Cajun flavoring. I also got some onion rings. We were given bibs when our food arrived but not offered gloves (I heard other tables get offered this). The napkin roll was on the table already. The flavoring was great. Lots of garlic so beware if you get that kind. You can get your spice level how you'd like too. I got mild. It came with a small corn cob and 2 big potato chunks. My friend and I were loving it! The onion rings were good too! We'll def be back to make a different mixture next time!

The food was great, and the staff are really nice, the inside is very cozy but water drops from the ceiling where i was sitting.

Golden King Crab Black Mussels

This place is always a go to for Cajun boil. We got there right when they opened so the staff seemed a little off put. I got the golden king crab which I have never had before much better price than the Alaskan king crab it was $25 as opposed to $68. I would stick to regular snow crab next time though although the pieces of meat were huge it was cold in the middle and the shells is rubbery and weirdly soft made it a little hard to get into and the spikes are not fun. Black mussels were solid as always. Overall very good though the sauce they use is so tasty! And the Calamari is the best in town!

If I can give no star's, I would. We just had dinner at the Bucket o Crawfish on 1980 W 3500 S and we found what looked like foil wiring. Not once but twice. We ordered the Calamari appetizer and one of our family members almost bit into a big chunk of wire! We called the waiter over and they offered to give us one free order. We were in a celebratory mood, so we were cautious when eating but took the free order to go. When we got home, my son started eating the new order of Calamari, and he bit into another piece of wire. Had anyone of my family members would have eaten that wire, both would be in the hospital right now. I feel like it was in the batter, which is worse and gross the wiring was in there in the first place. I spoke to the manager, he apologized but only wanted to refund the Calamari and not the entire dinner. Which is the least he should be doing considering some one could have choked on that wire. This is not the only bad experience that we have had at this restaurant. The last time we were there, our order of wings were not cooked. It was all red and raw in many parts. It will be the last time we come to this place. NEVER AGAIN!! I do not want to eat some place that I have to be watching my food to make sure that there is nothing that I am going to choke on and potentially die. Be ware if you decide to go!

2lbs Fresh Louisiana Crawfish with sauce on the side. (TBH, it didn't need the sauce. The actual boil itself soaked INTO the crawfish)

As an avid seafood boil eater from California, I was not expecting this place to be this freaking good. I was skeptical at first because I did try other places here and wasn't impressed. But buck o crawfish I ordered the fresh crawfish (thank god it's in season right now) with the sauce on the side. Honestly, I didn't even have to use the sauce on the side! They cooked it damn near close to how Louisiana makes it. I've been to New Orleans a couple times and fell in love with the flavors. Bucket o crawfish is climbing the ladder of my favorite places to go. The flavor was soaked inside of the crawfish, and that's the best way to have it IMO. This was my second time ordering, and I've been absolutely happy each time. I'll come back for sure!!

This place is a great little near-dive. The service was fantastic, out waitress was very knowledgeable and patient, especially with our infant daughter. The food was great, it's hard to find fried catfish, one of my favorites, and their was very good. The breading was light and crispy. The coconut shrimp were also phenomenal. The shrimp were not overcooked and the sauce it came with was really good too.

Solid place to get a seafood boil! Great flavor and price point! They have plastic wrapped tables, bibs, and gloves since it can get messy in the best way. However, if you're able to-go they do the setup nicely and you can enjoy the mess in the privacy of your home. Also, recommend CRAZY MIX! All the flavors!!

Not a bad place for shrimp. I remember going to this place back in 2013 and forgot this place was here when my wife and I moved here in 2018. We came for the first time today for lunch and the waitresses were really nice. My wife has been craving shrimp for the longest time so we made a drive from herriman to wvc. Elliana was our waitress and she was an outstanding waitress, was always there for a refill and her customer service was awesome. My wife and I ordered a pound of shrimp each, I had the medium spice with all the mix and she had the spicy hot with all the mix. We ordered rice for each of us (were Asian so we need our rice) Shrimp came around 10 mins later and wow. The shrimp was awesome! It was under or over cooked in anyway as it was perfectly tender and awesome. We both enjoyed the spice level of our shrimps as well. Well recommended.

Alright, so this was my first experience dealing with a face on my food. I'm not kidding. My entire life has granted me the blessing of faceless, poopless, shelled shrimp. So this was new, and it took me a minute to get past ripping off prawn faces. We were seated really quickly. It was a LOT of food; sure wish my man and I liked the same things so we could have just shared. The menu is simple. Pick your protein and your flavors. It comes out in a bag. Shake it up, fold down the bag, and dip your food in the bag when you need extra sauce. I got the garlic shrimp; it was super tasty, worth the work, even. The fries were also good, and our server apologized when they didn't bring out ranch per my request. She remedied it quickly and provided great service the whole time. I think I'd come back here. I enjoyed myself and my food. Just a heads up that if you're tearing up your seafood, your fingers will smell fishy for what feels like the rest of your life.

Quite pricey but it's very good ! I was very impressed with the delivery service. The food was hot and delicious. Did not have to step out or and hassle in reviewing my order. The food was amazing my favorite is the fried calamari with that delicious green sauce ! Yummy

They don't wear the mask while serving your drinks or getting your food they kept talking on top of the food without masks! Be aware!

Look I really like the food here I really do! That's why I'm giving a whole 4 starts bc the food it's good.... Now, the staff? They need to calm down on their attitude. This waitress in the picture was rude and had an attitude I don't want to focus on that but that's part of an over all review of a restaurant and unfortunately bc of that reason I don't come here more often bc as the food goes yes hands down come here you'll love it but just be aware u are here for the food and that's it don't expect to be treat it with some type of respect so be patient VERY patient wait for your food and enjoy!

As you step inside, you can immediately tell that the establishment is well managed. Everything is beautiful and the staff and quick to welcome you with a smile and seat you. They welcome you a cold glass bottle of filtered water. Make sure you sit outside at shaded table near the fountain. Even in 90-degree-weather days, the coolness from the fountains splashing and numerous nearby trees and bushes make the experience very pleasant with even a slight breeze. The entrees are reasonably priced and very tempting, it's a challenge to choose what to eat. My suggestion? Give the wait staff an idea of your favorites and ask them to make a suggestion. Both times I've been here, I ordered what they suggested and it was amazing. The seafood, sauces and flavors are elegant and well executed. They have lots of options for seafood lovers and those who love it less. On my latest trip, I got the Prawn Scampi. The spaghettini noodles were cooked al dente, the butter garlic sauce was delicious, and when you combined them with a grape tomato, a part of the asparagus heart, and one of the prawns it was a taste symphony! A tip! Sometimes they have special where if you show them a ticket to a movie at the nearby Cinemark theater, they'll give you a free appetizer. I got the Seafood Chowder. It was rich, thick and savory with small chunks of scallops and fish with corn, onion, and bacon. Delicious!

They were all in all delicious. What stood out: The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the potatoes and corn were spot on, and the crab was oh so good. One boil was the house blend (mild heat) and the other was the butter and garlic (no heat). The only bummer was that they were out of a few proteins. The setting is very child friendly and it's very casual. There's multiple tvs on which help distract the kiddos while waiting for the food. Now there are random scratch marks all over the walls, and honestly it looks very bad and low class. I would rather they kept the walls clean and simple with one color. The restaurant now feels cheap and dirty. In fact, the overall cleanliness was disappointing. I ordered a seafood bag and a gumbo soup. The gumbo used to be my favorite, but this time it was terrible. Even before tasting it, the color looked bad--like dirty waste water. After one bite, I could tell all the important flavors were missing. I could not continue eating it. The seafood bag was okay, but not great. Yes, the prices are lower, but it does not feel like a good value. Cheap prices are not everything. I would rather pay a little more for good food and a better dining experience. Unfortunately, I would not come back again.

The Cajun fries were good quality fries (on the more potato rather than crispy side) but could've used more Cajun. Next time I'd ask for a side of Cajun seasoning or see if they can just put more on. The refresher was light in flavor but actually really good and legitimately refreshing! There might have even been tiny pieces of peach on the bottom, which I liked! For the boil I got a half pound of shrimp (head on) and subbed the potato for a corn and added a second corn. I got the special sauce (basically a combo of all the sauces) mild, but didn't think it tasted spicy at all. To be honest I think the sauce was just okay, a little less flavorful than expected. Maybe next time I would try medium spice level to see if it makes a difference. My bf got a half pound of shrimp (head off), half pound of crawdads, and wanted the blue crab but because it was sold out, he switched to a half pound of snow crab legs, garlic butter (seasoned), mild. He thought the sauce was good but wished it would've soaked into the meat more. Def recommend frequent dipping! Crawdads weren't bad, it was our first time eating them but offered very little meat for the work required. He was pretty disappointed with the crab legs--despite being double the price of the blue crab, almost every leg he cracked open was half hollow and had barely any meat in it. He said it was the first time in his life he's had crab legs like that! Service however was 10/10. She was super attentive, kind, and welcoming. Some of the best service I've ever had! Ambiance is casual, had cute theming similar to most seafood boil spots. Appreciated the bibs, gloves, and wipes! Overall I liked it but would tweak my order. Unfortunately, my bf said he would never go back again, but this was only his second time ever going to a seafood boil restaurant, and he's thinking it just might not be for him lol.

Just went here for my very first crab boil experience and I was pleasantly surprised…read more The menu wasn't too overwhelming since I've been watching crab boil mukbangs for over a year and already knew exactly what I wanted. However for a second we were a little confused about what was considered shareable versus a one person dish, but our server was amazing and stayed to explain everything to us. (Apparently most are shareable depending on your appetite) We added a couple drinks to our tab. I tried the blended specials margarita with tajin on the rim and my husband ordered a blended Sex on the Beach. I'll give it a 9 out of 10 only because the bendy heart straws were super cute but kind of a mess to drink out of. We also ordered the Mr and Mrs Crab shots. They weren't anything too special but the flavor was still decent. Both my kids ordered from the kids menu and I was honestly impressed by how good their food looked. My son had the fried shrimp with mac and cheese and my daughter ordered the chicken wings. The portions were great and the quality was impressive. Truthfully it is one of the better kids menus I've seen in a while. 10/10 no notes. Now for the main event. My husband ordered the #Crabfam Classic and I built my own boil with snow crab, mussels, head off shrimp, potatoes, corn, and an egg. We both chose the Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning at a medium heat level and we were not disappointed. I have not had seafood this good in Utah. Florida girl here with a semi San Francisco husband, so I would say we have standards. The seasoning was perfect and the shrimp was cooked just right. The spice level was spot on, but I think I could have gone even hotter. At the end of it all it only cost $140ish for a full family of 4 and that included drinks, imo a great price for what you get! The overall vibe of the place was great, I drive past this spot all the time and never see many people there. If you are in American Fork or near Lehi High, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Well the day finally arrived and I opted for takeout. I went with the "Make Your Own Seafood Combo" seafood boil and went with: - Shrimp (head-off) .5 lb - Snow Crab Legs .5 lb - Lobster Tail 6 oz You receive one corn and one potato with this particular combo. You can substitute the potato for an additional corn, and vice versa. You also can add on additional at an extra fee. You get several sauce choices along with spice level preference. I settled on Cajun with Fire (which is supposed to be the spiciest/hottest but I found it to be the weakest out of all the seafood boil restaurants that I've tried). Was definitely more medium spice level than the HOTTEST that I requested. The snow crab legs and lobster tail were both delicious and had a lot of meat to be found in both. The shrimp didn't seem to be cooked very well. Even after peeling and taking off the tails it was still quite a bit crunchy. I had requested utensils/napkins, and absolutely nothing was received (so I thanked God I had visited Red Lobster previously and they had given me a reusable plastic crab leg cracker with my previous meal there) otherwise I would have been stumped cracking legs all night long! For the prices at Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood, I really was not that impressed. The fact they only give you one corn (I couldn't care less for the one red potato) and the fact they don't include any utensils or napkins (as this meal is VERY messy) is a complete turn off because the restaurant can definitely afford to compensate. Overall I'd rate them a 3.5, but since that's not possible, I'll round up to a 4 as the lobster tail and snow crab legs were delicious.
