Honestly, surprised to see any negative reviews for Bucky's (at least this location). I have brought my car here twice - once for a tune up, and most recently for a pretty serious issue that has me debating whether it's time to junk my car and just get a new one.... (Haven't decided yet ooop!) After a scary drive home with my car shuddering and smoking, I took it into Bucky's the next morning for them to do some peeking around. They called me in a timely manner on the same day with their theory but decided to keep it overnight to do more thorough inspecting. The next day he did a block test on my car and found it was more serious (aka expensive) than we had anticipated. He did solid research on pricing for me to attempt to the get best parts at the most affordable price that he could which I really appreciated! We decided to pick it up and take it home and decide what next steps would be (hefty fix on an older vehicle or buy a new one) and Robert (I thinkkkk that was his name, the guy who helped me the whole time) was totally cool about it and didn't try to upsell us or convince us to sway any each way. My car was there for almost 48 hours with all of the testing and poking around and I was pleasantly surprised that Bucky's didn't charge me a CENT for any of the diagnostic work or for keeping it there almost a full day after they called me with the final discovery. If we decide to take it back there for the fix, I'll definitely update - with the service I've received from Robert and his team so far, I'm guessing it'll remain 5 stars. read more

I went to Buckys for the first time today, it was a Saturday and I was in desperate need of help with my brakes. I wasn't feeling optimistic because of it being the weekend. Steve took wonderful care of us, he got us right in and gave us a free estimate. He was nothing but kind and courteous, and they were able to do my brakes and have it back to me within just a few hours! These other reviews are obviously disgruntled people who need Hugs. He gave us a fair estimate, and when everything was said and done, it was way less than predicted. I plan to refer anybody I know with auto Repair needs to this shop. I went to the Bucky's Fife twice and spoke with the manager Steven. He told me they charge $140 for resurfacing the rotors. We discussed the best days to bring my vehicle because I have to pick up my children. We decided Saturday may be better. Still, he was very sure the cost would be $140. About five days later, I visited the location and requested an estimate to show the other Bucky's in Federal Way that they overcharged me. I reminded Steven of the price of $140 that he quoted me the previous week. Surprisingly, he could not support the $140 but increased the cost to $179.95. Steven made excuses about why he could not support the price of $140. When I questioned him, he asked me what I do for a living. I told him not to worry about it. He got rude, raised his voice at me, and told me not to come to his shop again. I said, no problem, I will never go to any Bucky's again. So, the question is, did the cost go up by $39.96 because I am a female, or did the price change within five days? I have read other reviews and other females stating that Bucky's overcharges females. Also, it seems their coupon is a scam. It seems to me that Bucky's business model lacks integrity. Stop by towards the end of the working day to see if they could take a look at my 68 Skylark for a few minor concerns I've been having. Unfortunately they were completely booked out for the rest of the day, the guy who I spoke to was very friendly and told me if I brought it back the following morning when they opened that they would be able to take a look at it and see what all needed to be done. He even made a point to let me know he wouldn't be in the next day but to go ahead and ask for another worker who would be there. I believe he said it was the manager. It was really refreshing to receive customer service in its true form. Especially since good customer service is a rare thing these days. It's possible that it had more to do with the fact I'm a female and I was in a classic car and they just saw "dollar signs" so to speak lol. The guy was actually very genuine, so even though I didn't get the chance to stop back buy the following morning, I have every intention of going back when I can find the time though. Took my car in for an oil change in october. Used a groupon that was $40 for full synthetic, was told that it doesn't apply and ended up paying $92 for a full synthetic oil change (mind you, theirs cost $70). Whatever, paid the amount and got my oil changed. In December, my low oil light came on which is weird because it had only been a month since I'd got my oil changed. Get home, park and pop the hood to find that they didn't put the oil cap back on and left their funnel sitting there instead. Went in to explain what happened, they said they would refund me for that and clean my engine bay but since it was nearing holiday time, it may take some time. Okay, fine. They did a half ass job of cleaning my engine bay. Called late January to ask when my check may be coming and, the man who answered said "were really busy and it's corporates issue to deal with. It's not my problem." Had him call corporate and they called me, she was extremely nice and sent my check the next day, saying she was just contacted the day before (meaning that they didn't in fact contact corporate regarding my refund until late January). The ONLY reason I'm giving two stars is because the corporate woman was so nice and understanding. I will never go here again. read more

Called before driving there to make sure it could be done today and was told sure come on down only to get there to be rudely helped by a short Hispanic man who laughed as he said I should just order a kit then bring it to them and let them install it. I hate to write this but it's a must. I've been a customer at Buckys for a while now and always have dealt with Shannon and she has ensured every time I bought my rvs that business was taken care of. Well I just took my rv in last week for a full inspection, belts fluids, breaks and engine for a cross country trip in a vehicle my mother would be driving. $2100 later I'm broken down 700 miles in the middle of nowhere because Buckys failed to do what they charged me to do. Firstly I dropped it off Monday with a promise to have it done by end of day worse case Tuesday, then got rushed to come get it Thursday night because some guy told me there were three other rvs there waiting. Get there Thursday after driving 30 miles and it's not done. Did I get a phone call, no! So I sleep overnight in fife only to have to call them and show up Friday and it's still not done. After calling them a few times they told me they were doing their jobs replacing belts, checking engine, inspecting it and flushing fluids etc. well guess what. I look under the hood after being broken down and the car is out of oil, no engine coolant, old steering fluid, one old belt and the other ones probably the ones I paid to replace are gone! Thanks Buckys for charging me for an inspection not done, coolants not checked, and pretty sure belts were not done! I wouldn't ever touch this place with a ten foot pole. These guys unscrewed my spark plug so when I drove off it would break down. And since they only did an oil change they said it wasn't their fault. I literally stuck my fingers in and pulled the spark plug out. That's impossible unless someone has a special tool. The guys at oreillys even said they intentionally did that so I would get everything replaced. I called the Corp office and they never called back. I went to Buckys to get an estimate for my brakes. The estimate was very high so I decided to go somewhere else. When I tried to get a tire off they had torqued the Lugnuts down so hard that it bent my lug wrench. I went back to them to have them just loosen my Lugnuts but they were going to make me wait my turn in line. I waited 45 minutes and still they didn't get to me. I had to leave. This is a problem they caused and they couldn't take the few minutes it would've taken to loosen the lug nuts. Good customer service is not their forte. I could never recommend them to anyone. read more

I took my car to Bucky's Fife location yesterday for an issue with my cooling system after receiving an outrageous quote (almost double the price for the same service) at a competitor in Fife. My 2001 Audi TT was heavily dripping coolant - I had a problem with my radiator, electronic fuel pump and radiator hoses - I also had my cooling system flushed. Joshua treated me with the utmost respect and equity and maintained top-notch communication with me through the entire service process. He waived several of the service fees and replaced multiple parts at no additional charge - I got my car repaired and back to me within 24 hours. I couldn't have asked for better treatment and I will take my car back to Joshua if it ever needs any further service. I highly recommend Bucky's in Fife! read more

Unprofessional. I will NEVER come here again... First off, I do not trust these people and regret spending so much money here years back. It's really sad that you have to get your car checked to state the issues BEFORE going into a place like this (Jiffy Lube made me aware of some issues). Went in with valpak $25 voucher / coupon and Joshua told me my 2004 Infinii G35 doesn't apply to it and that it's more because it's an "infiniti". I told him it's still just a Nissan he laughed and saids its not (it's a Nissan VQ35 motor). He said the coupon for $25 is only for Toyotas and 3 cylider Geo. He also said the filter is price is on top of the coupon price. I called 4 other locations and they all said my G35 is fine and there is a $2 disposal fee so $29 and change with tax. Had a code that said there was a leak in my EVAP system. Joshua said they would do a smoke test to determine the leak. He called to say that the canister was leaking and it would be over $500 additional to fix because it's over the gas tank and most of the cost was labor to remove the tank. He sounded fishy so I took it to a reputable shop the next day and they found a small vacuum line on the firewall had come off. They said either Bucky's never performed the test or did not know what they were doing. They also said the canister, had it been the problem, was not over the tank and is an easy fix. I called and asked Joshua for a refund and said he would. When it didn't show up on my statement I called to remind him and he denied he had said he would refund my fraudulent charge. The telephone conversations are supposedly recorded so they should have proof that he lied. Scam artist! read more

The first time I've been to this location was last year when our vehicle failed emissions, was told that we needed a new catalytic converter. Got that replaced and decided to get the rear struts done as well, total cost was about $1,200. About a year later, now, engine light comes on and the code is for the converter per O'Reillys code reader. We take it in to Bucky's in fife since that's where the converter came from and was supposed to be under warranty and they tell us that it's the o2 sensors and they need to be replaced. Ok, got those replaced with a personal mechanic since I couldn't afford the labor. A few days later engine light comes on again, code read at Autozone and it's the converter AGAIN. I take it back to the fife location and he says he'll "help me out" and only charge "half", total was over $200. Right off the bat I can tell something is not right with my car because in 1st and 2nd gear it's lost about 50% of acceleration, there's a humming noise that wasn't there before and the car is lunging forward when I'm pressing on the gas pedal. I take it back to the fife location and Josh says to just floor it when I'm trying to accelerate and that he can't do anything unless the engine light comes on. Great... thanks allot... Well, now not even a week later, engine light is on again and guess what? Autozone code reader says Catalytic Converter... I've lost all patience with this, the first time it was replaced they should have replaced the o2 sensors or at least asked about doing them since if the o2 sensors are bad then they can ruin the converter, but nothing was asked and nothing was said about them. I feel taken advantage of because I'm a woman. I know more about cars than most men now-a-days, but I don't have the proper tools to do the work myself so I was trusting them to do the work right. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! First of all they did the last oil change on my car (actually several) so nobody else has touched the oil drain plug but them. So here is how it went... I took my car down there to get the oil changed. Me and one other woman were sitting in the waiting area with a man. The manager took care of the man first. Then he started talking to the other woman about her oil change. Mind you the entire time this is going on my car was out up on the rack in their garage. After discussing her oil change with her... he came back several minutes later to tell her they found this and that wrong with her car. Then he found other things too... and her bill kept going up. She unfortunately paid it... but it seemed quite suspicious to me... because after he did this he then started in on me. After my car was on the rack for over 40 minutes... up in the air... he came back in with my oil cap showing me this gunk (mind you it was not there when I went in because I take very good care of my car and clean all of it including that part). I check my oil weekly and also clean the engine comparrtment regularly. He tried talking me into a $129.00 for an oil flush which I didn't need. I told him no and he left. Another 40 minutes go by and he comes back and tells me to follow him to my car. Up under my car he shows me my oil drain plug. He tells me that it will not come out and it is spinning in the hole freely. I asked him if it was simply going to fall out and he replied... no... it is in there very tight. What??? Did he just contradict himself... yes he did. So I asked him again if it was loose and he said no... it was tight in the hole... and I then tried to spin it by hand with my finger tips and it would not move. I looked at him and said... it doesn't move at all. He said I know... it just sits in there loosely and spins. Then he told me it would cost me over $200.00+ to purchase a new oil pan... and over $200.00+ in labor... plus and oil flush for $129.00 and an oil changet to fix it all. I told him that only his mechanic had touched that bolt being they had done the last oil chianges on my car... so if it was cross threaded and stripped it would have been his mechanic. He then told me that parts like that just wear out over time and get cross threaded by themselves... it just happens. Funny... He never mentioned the words cross threaded until I did... did you notice that. I then told him to lowver my car and remove it from his rack and out of his garage. He gave me a look like you don't want me to fix it.... and I then told him again to lower it and remove my car from his rack and out of his garage. I then tokl him I was going to take it to the dealer and have them inspect it for what he had told me... where upon he tore my paperwork up and threw it away and didn't even talk to me but walked away rudely. Well Larson VW looked at my car and yes... Bucky's in Fife did in fact cross thread my oil drain plug and ruin the oil pan by doing so. It ended up costing me over $640.00+ to have it repaired. BEWARE... DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! THEY DAMAGED MY CAR AND WOULD NOT MAN UP ABOUT IT... AND TRIED TO SELL ME SERVICES I DIDN'T NEED!!! TAKE YOUR CAR TO A REPUTABLE DEALER!!! read more

So when I came back at 1:30 they didn't have my appointment and told me to come back at 4:00...really? Don't waste your time going here they don't know how to keep appointments. read more

Then I was told they could do the work, but the car probably was not worth it. No attempt to try to sell me on the work at all, just the facts I needed to make a good decision.
