Have you ever had huge expectations for something that were so misguided they blew up in your face? Then you cried with laughter through singed eye-lashes at your own naivety and foolishness?
Welcome to the Buddha Bag VHS Amnesty & Darklight Movie Lounge, part of the Darlight X Film Festival, where dewy-eyed, emerging film-making talent descended to see their movies screened at a real life film festival. The Buddha Bag Lounge (as it seems to really be called) promised to show up-and-coming young film-making talent in an interactive ultra-hip chill-out zone.

Now, apparently the "insert gibberish here" Lounge had been deftly hooshed aside to make way for a book launch and was set to return quickly. This time featuring a real-life, human-sized TV that shows films in colours other than purple and grey, which would be good but sadly not as funny.
Anyway, two-stars for comedic value at this part of an event that otherwise rocks it's little socks off with more to come pending the return of the fancy TV. read more
