There were a couple of items that needed to be tweaked once they arrived after installation. Rod took care of them immediately with no questions asked. I received 3 bids and went with Rod for a couple of reasons. He was low bidder by a considerable amount and also when he measured my windows I told him I wanted shutters everywhere. He said I wouldn't be able to use them on the sliding glass doors in the kitchen because it would have interfered with opening the drawers near the doors. Ordered 8 plantation shutters from the Tracy location. Rod was professional and polite with the measurements. Price was competitive. Carlos was the installer who did a very professional job installing and went above and beyond to make the frames fit and sealed to the wall. Caution: Get everything promised IN WRITING, no matter how small an item. We were told during the measurements that they could make the frames slightly larger (about 21/2 inches) than our 21/4 inch frames to cover any dings or dents from our removing the old frames. When the new frames and shutters arrived, the new frames were only 2 inches, which required Carlos to use additional sealer on the frame edges. When we contacted Rod about the frame issue, he told us that 2 inches was standard. We reminded him of our conversation about larger frames, which now he did not remember and said that 2 inches was normal. Both my wife and I heard his comments, so, get ALL the details on paper first! Verbals don't count no matter how much they seem insignificant! read more
